The shop has the display cases right when you walk in the door and there is a little cafe area off to the right which seemed cute. We were greeted when we walked in and the girl who helped us gave us plenty of time while we decided what to order. I asked what her favorite thing was that they had and she told me the danishes or the cheesecakes. I ended up ordering several things to try: a glazed donut, glazed raspberry filled donut, powdered raspberry filled donut, cheese danish, chocolate chip cookie, and cinnamon roll. The donuts and cinnamon roll were given to family who already knew how good the donuts were and we tried the chocolate chip cookie and cheese danish. The chocolate chip cookie was huge, chewy, and had a great flavor. I think my favorite thing I tried was the cheese danish. The dough was buttery and the filling wasn't too sweet. It was a great suggestion from the girl working there. Also, all of this was under $18 which is crazy. Will definitely be coming back.

I enjoyed seeing all the dog pictures covering the walls. The pastries here all looked amazing especially the sourdough chocolate chip cookies! I tried the sourdough pizzas they make on the wknds and enjoyed every last bite. The crust is just so perfect, it makes a nice crisp noise as you bite into it but still has that nice chewiness to it that makes a sourdough perfect! the buffalo mozzarella mixed with the garlic sauce was so great however I wouldn't mind a drizzle of buffalo sauce over the pizza for an extra kick. I also tried a sip of their cortado coffee which is true what they say puerto rican coffee is the best coffee!!! Loved it!

Horses. Dogs. VETERANS," drew us in. This establishment is so much more than a coffee shop. We loved everything about them, the passionate people who volunteer their time to the mission, the incredible animals that they rescue, rehab, train and pair with veterans, their baked goods, and their coffee. EVERYTHING! They sell a variety of baked goods including muffins, pastries, cookies, sourdough cinnamon rolls, sourdough bread, and coffee from a small farm in Puerto Rico. Everything we tried was delicious and although we were on a time crunch and couldn't stay, there is plenty of room to sit and relax while enjoying your goodies inside. All proceeds go to help veterans integrate back into "normal" life after military service. This is just an ounce of what they are about, so definitely stop by, learn more, and support their life changing programs by grabbing a bite and a coffee!

After spending time on their website, their FB page and reviewing YELP, I decided to "go for it" and place an order for a cake similar to one that I saw on their FB page. I completed the "contact us" form and waited. And waited. I ended up phoning after a few days and spoke with April, who...in the beginning, wasn't very helpful with flavor combinations (suggested I check the site) but was very pleasant and patient while I did so. Ultimately, the cake was done (on time) and April even texted me a pic. They also delivered directly to my daughter exactly during the timeframe that we discussed. The cake was beautiful, the exact color combo that I requested...and hand painted to boot! I ordered pink champagne for the first tier and coconut for the second. I obviously didn't taste it but my daughter said that it was amazing!!!! All's well that ends well!!! Next time I'm in Burlington, I'm definitely stopping by to say thanks personally! They played a major part in making my daughter's 21st birthday very special!!! Thanks Main Street Cake Shoppe!

They also had free face painting and cookies to be decorated for free! We will be back because I want to try their brownies.

I was pretty taken aback by how many dessert options they had. Not only did they have a plethora of types of desserts, but they had sooo many flavors/varieties of each one. A dozen different variations of cheesecakes, several cupcake varieties, a dozen different kinds of macarons, several different cakes, tiramisu, tres leches, banana pudding, edible cookie dough, more cookies than I could name, brownies, eclairs, and more that I'm sure I have forgotten. If you can name it, I'm sure they have it. I've been looking for somewhere nearby to get a proper macaron (as opposed to a hard, macaron shaped cookie without the traditional texture) at a reasonable price point. This definitely met those criteria, so of course we tried a flower shaped macaron. It had the perfect, delicate cookie and that classic, light almondy flavor. We also had a brownie batter cookie, which was delicious and reminds me of something I would have saved on Pinterest a decade ago but never gotten around to making, much less as well as they do. Though there was a line inside, we were served super quickly by friendly staff, and found a nice seat outside in the sun. They also had abundant indoor seating. Maybe I'm the last one to hear about Sweet Dough and everyone else has been a fan, or maybe it's a true hidden gem. Either way, I will 100% be back.

I have probably gone to Sweet Dough close to a dozen times, most of the time with my toddler, teenage athletes that I coach, or my husband, and no one that I know has ever left disappointed. The desserts are phenomenal. I can personally attest to the great quality of various cakes, banana pudding, bars, cookies, macarons, cheesecake, and the cinnamon buns OH MY GOSH. The prices are very reasonable and most of the servings are awesome! It's also a great hangout spot for a small group. I had team bonding with my volleyball team there last year; we played board games and just kept getting more desserts and coffee! In fact, I need to get out that way and get some more dessert (I'm getting hungry as I type!). The staff are friendly and give good recommendations, and I have never had to wait for food.
