Falafel sandwich with salad minus tomatoes
    Chandra J.

After reading glowing reviews, I was expecting a lot from Mykonos. What I got was just okay. Upon walking in, the first thing I noticed was the menu, which were several pictures posted up with their respective prices. These were their lunch options, which are available from 11am-4pm. I didn't see a falafel sandwich, so I decided to ask for it. I like that I was able to get the sandwich as a plate and without tomatoes on that and the salad. Also, I was able to choose tzaiki or hummus for the sandwich, so I went with hummus. My total was $12, I paid, and I waited at my table for this deliciousness. What came was okay. The first thing I noticed was that the falafel was super dry and stiff. There wasnt much hummus in the sandwhich--however I powered through. I tried the salad next and again, it was okay. There wasn't a lot of flavor to the pink colored dressing that came on the side to accompany the mixed bag salad. To compare the actual food to the reviews was like night and day. It is fast food Greek food, but if you are looking for more, I would look elsewhere. I gave them three stars for the service and being able to customize your food.

Soooooooo. I really wanted some pasta, preferably spaghetti....... I ended up in Graham, NC at this Mykono Restaurant. When I walked in, it gave me fast food vibes with a hostess (honestly), anyhow, I wanted to place a take out order and was directed to the registers. I expressed that I wanted the spaghetti and meat sauce. She asked if I wanted anything else.... I then asked did it come with anything, and she said a roll. I was slightly confused, because it was dinner time and thought AT LEAST a salad would be included - NOPE. Her: You can add one though (side eye). Me: Drink? Her: You can add one. Me: Okay nevermind... that's it. Her: $11.37 (Please see portion in picture). So, yeah - no, ummmmm - I will not be ordering that again. It was okay. Maybe I should've tried something else. I'll give it another try.

I wanted to expose my kiddos to something different and we decided to try this place out. Called our order in and everything was smooth. Prices were very reasonable and the food was great! I enjoyed my food but the kiddos did not like theirs at all. It's located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking.

My husband and I ordered in the restaurant, but they do have a digital drive thru for online pick up orders. We went a little after noon and the line was somewhat long, but the staff worked quickly to make their way through everyone's orders. I created my own Grains Bowl with half saffron basmati rice, half supergreens, traditional hummus, half grilled steak, half roasted vegetables, fiery broccoli, fire roasted corn, avocado, tomato & cucumber, Persian cucumber, shredded romaine, crumbled feta, and Greek vinaigrette (on the side). I also got a side of the hot harissa pita chips. It took maybe 15 minutes from when we entered Cava to when we sat down with our food. The food was fresh and blended well together. It was my first time trying the steak and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the pita chips too. I was a little hesitant that they would be too spicy, but they weren't at all. They were crunchy, warm, and with a hint of the harissa flavor - which was perfect to me. Pita chips feel like a must now with all Cava entrees. Restaurant was clean, bright, and buzzing with activity. The staff were friendly, but very concentrated on making sure everything was correct. The line to order was to the door when we ended up leaving. Parking is not an issue here because it's in a big shopping center. Cava is my go to place in Greensboro, so I'm excited it's closer to home now. Everyone should go show Cava some support and expect to be patient since the employees are brand new.

The portion was perfect. Next time I will go with one meat Va two meats since the portions are generous. Hush puppies were pretty good. I like the fact they made a center indentation to make sure they are throughly cooked. The flavor was just right not overly cooked or salty. More of a sweet batter taste. The customer service was pretty good. Really fast service and they move that line pretty quickly. Over all it's a good choice for Carolina BBQ. I will definitely come again and try something new next time around.

I'll preface my review by saying I really tried to not compare this to other extremely prominent smokehouses in other states like Texas, for example (Terry Black's), but admittedly I did a little of that. So with that being said, on its own without comparison I give it a 5/5, when compared with TB's, 4/5. Let's dive in! The spot itself is super cool, I love the stacked wood at the counter. I also love how open it is, plenty of seating (including bar, especially nice if you're solo like I was), plus the self-serve nature of everything. There's a sauce (their homemade sauce is tasty!) and hand wash station, and boxes are readily available to grab. The market itself is worth the visit! Wonderful inventory and great prices, too! Ordering was easy (I'd pre-stalked the menu) and there are tons of options. I went with the 2 meats/2 sides option and got brisket, sausage, mac & cheese with bacon, and yams ($26 after tip). The meat was really the star of the show, that brisket is so tender and melts in your mouth...yum. The sausage had great flavor, though I do want to try their occasional jalapeno & cheddar version. The sides were a bit lackluster for me. The M&C definitely needed some creaminess, and the yams while good didn't blow me away. The hush puppies were really dry, for me at least. The staff were nice and efficient, and multiple asked me if I needed anything as they walked around. All in all, a wonderful experience and I'll definitely be back! Can't wait to try brunch!

We started with the Pimento Cheese Hushpuppies, which I had high hopes for. They were a bit over‑fried and dry, with more breading than cheesy center, and the jalapeño bacon jam was watery and didn't quite complement the hushpuppies. That said, the concept is fun, and with a thicker, chunkier jam, I think they'd really shine. The Fried Oysters, however, were a completely different story. Perfectly breaded, not overly heavy, and full of flavor. My husband--who's keto and peeled the breading off--still commented on how good the oysters themselves were. If anything, we just wished the portion was bigger. The star of the starters for me was the She Crab Soup. Creamy, rich, and loaded with crab. It was one of those dishes you keep going back to between bites of everything else. And here's my pro tip: dip the hushpuppies into the soup. It transformed them from dry to delicious, and I even suggested to our server that the kitchen consider offering them together. For my entrée, I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos with a side of pasta salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the Thai‑inspired sauce had a sweet kick that I honestly wish there had been more of. The pasta salad was classic but surprisingly good--fresh, balanced, and better than most versions I've had lately. My husband ordered the Salmon & Shrimp Scampi, swapping the pasta for extra spinach to stay keto. Both proteins were cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and plated generously. Overall, the meal had a few highs and a couple of misses, but the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the menu make this a place I'd absolutely visit again. With a little fine‑tuning on a few items, 2 Twelve has the potential to be truly exceptional.

My meal, the Charleston Crab Cakes, was really good too (I asked that they put the creamed corn on the side -- the crab cakes will come on top of the creamed corn if you don't make a special request). But when (not if) we return, I will be ordering the seafood pasta for sure because it was that good! A friend recommended the pork chops and the burgers. The ambience is quaint and the indoor dining space is very small and cozy. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived. I recommend making a reservation if you don't want to dine outdoors. It was January so too cold for us to eat outdoors because there is no heating and the overhead fans were on! Also, please bring a little patience for parking because this restaurant is in an area of downtown with limited parking.

This place would have gotten a 5-stars, but I have to give it a 3-stars because of our waitress. Our waitress was a woman with short red hair and a peach Myrtle Beach shirt on. It took a while for her to come greet us, if that's what we are calling it. When she came to our table, there was no "hello, how are you doing" or the typical customer service interaction where she told us her name. Instead, she asked us what we wanted to drink with some attitude. She didn't have much customer service behind her interaction. When she came back with our sweet teas, she abruptly wanted to take our order. When she had asked me what I had wanted for my side, I asked if the chips were house-made. Instead of saying "yes/no, they are/are not house-made" , she rudely told me "we have chips". She barely came to our table to check up on us from the time we were there. Since I have been working in the restaurant industry for 10 years, I shook it off that maybe she was just having a bad day. That was until some regulars sat in the booth behind ours. Both me and my husband had heard her being extremely friendly with this particular table and was constantly at this booth checking up on them, which did not leave the best first impression for service with this place. I am not sure if it was because it stuck out that me and my husband are not from this town, but people should be treated fairly regardless on where they are from.
