I'm ashamed to say how long it took me to actually walk through the doors at The Commissary but better late than never! A few weeks ago I went in to grab a loaf of sourdough. I am a sourdough baker so I was curious and also wanted to support these guys because a. they are in my hometown, b. they are a small business/nonprofit supporting veterans c. duh, it's fresh healthy bread and treats! Trifecta! I've been back twice now and it will be on my weekly rotation when I am back in the area visiting friends and family. Fresh coffee, sourdough, sweet baked treats (gluten free and regular!), and even some savory bites! I am so excited to have more healthy options available when I visit Graham now and I love their mission and they do it right. Check out their pages on social media, both under this name and under Charlie Mike. Good, good stuff!

The staff were so friendly and the crepes were some of the best we've had. To top it off the coffee was delicious as well. Our uber driver who picked us up was surprised that we landed in Graham after our flight from LA. We're glad Yelp directed us here - cute little town!

The casual but polished ambiance fits perfectly into the charming, throwback small-town feel of downtown Graham.. which feels like something out of an earlier era with its historic courthouse, independent movie theater, and locally-owned boutiques and casual restaurants. The menu offers a wide variety of made-to-order savory and sweet crepes, as well as several toasts and waffle dishes. On my last visit to PRESS, I had the seasonal Blue Ridge crepe ($16.50), which was excellent -- a savory, blue-tinged shell filled with a great combination of sweet maple syrup-glazed ham and tangy granny smith apples and topped by a scrambled "hurricane-style" egg and a spicy maple mustard drizzle. YUM! The beverage menu at PRESS is equally impressive, featuring everything from made-to-order hot and cold coffees and tea-based beverages to a carefully curated cocktail list. I really enjoyed the soy maple pecan latte.

The service was amazing and our food came out so fast. One of the best milkshakes I've had in a while. Onion rings were super crispy. Our burgers were a little dry but still very tasty especially the sourdough bread. You can tell it is made with love for sure. Will definitely be back and so worth the drive. It's downtown too so you can walk around and check out what's near by. We went on a weekend and there was live music and street vendors. My favorite part was all the local history on the walls super cool to see!

Everything was delicious when it came down to the food, I had the Slider Wrap with Steak and southwestern sauce with a side of chips. My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak sub. This place would have gotten a 5-stars, but I have to give it a 3-stars because of our waitress. Our waitress was a woman with short red hair and a peach Myrtle Beach shirt on. It took a while for her to come greet us, if that's what we are calling it. When she came to our table, there was no "hello, how are you doing" or the typical customer service interaction where she told us her name. Instead, she asked us what we wanted to drink with some attitude. She didn't have much customer service behind her interaction. When she came back with our sweet teas, she abruptly wanted to take our order. When she had asked me what I had wanted for my side, I asked if the chips were house-made. Instead of saying "yes/no, they are/are not house-made" , she rudely told me "we have chips". She barely came to our table to check up on us from the time we were there. Since I have been working in the restaurant industry for 10 years, I shook it off that maybe she was just having a bad day. That was until some regulars sat in the booth behind ours. Both me and my husband had heard her being extremely friendly with this particular table and was constantly at this booth checking up on them, which did not leave the best first impression for service with this place. I am not sure if it was because it stuck out that me and my husband are not from this town, but people should be treated fairly regardless on where they are from.
