Since I have family that live within a three minute walk to Trinity Food Mart, I have been there several times more then the average person. Trinity Food Mart is where it's at for wine and beer in a pinch, although prices are $2-$3 above most (for example, a six-pack of HopNosh will run $10.59 where you can usually find it for $8.99) but you really can't beat the convenience. So, if you're in a pinch for adult beverages and are headed into North Durham, Trinity Food Mart is the perfect place to stop. They also have milk, bread and the assortment of gas station snacks (although NO half & half!) They've also gotten rid of their 9th Street Bakery goods--so sad! According to the man on staff when I asked, 9th Street is selling to other companies now. So you won't be able to pick up a local cookie or muffin but you can still pick up a banana or a cliff bar!

The buns were stone hard on the hotdogs, absolutely no flavor, the burger tasted like canned meat and water. The fries were the only acceptable thing out of the entire order. Owner refused refunds, he and a Hispanic woman cooking the food, had their hands all over the food, AND additionally KEPT THE FOOD. So, not only did he receive nearly $40 for absolutely nothing... but also had the audacity to be rude to my sister (whom has worked in customer service/healthcare, so I know her demeanor when she approached) when addressing the issue. Did not offer to replace the food or a refund, I will emphasize once again. Will not return here, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone I'm acquainted with. I mean that genuinely.

My partner always gets the sausage egg and cheese. I have had both, and both are AMAZING! The biscuits here are BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL! For lunch, the bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and mayo is amazing, but the regular cheese burger is just as great. Recently, they have started offering BBQ plates. Let me tell you, the Brunswick stew is ON POINT, and the BBQ is delicious. The hush puppies are great, as is the slaw. More importantly, the service is always both a delight, and stellar. From the owner behind the register, who always remembers our order, the fist bump, and the great attitude, to all those wonderful ladies preparing the food (and I mean wonderful, jovial, and go beyond the extra mile), this place is a hidden gem. Angie has become like one of our besties, and frankly, they are all great, but her attitude and fun loving self makes every trip there enjoyable! When it comes to ambiance, what you see is what you get. It is a service station grill, but it is always clean, tidy, and welcoming to customers. There is a lot of foot traffic, and always a busy pace in there. Based on the number of folks they are always serving in there, you can tell that others feel exactly as I do about the breakfast and lunch, and more importantly, the service. I do not think any of them in there meet a stranger. You must check this place out! It will certainly exceed your expectations - and did I mention... THOSE BISCUITS! OMG - now back to eating mine! NOM NOM NOM NOM!

My first go to is a chili and slaw dog and the price here is right. I got two for just over $3.00 and that's a deal in my book. I could have gotten it as a combo with fries and a drink, but just the dogs was fine by me. Their hot dogs are the red kind, the chili had a little bit of a bite so glad it wasn't smothered all over it, and the cole slaw was crunchy. All and all it was pretty good. The menu is varied from choices of breakfast items served from 6A-10:30A to lunch sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, and sides like fries and such. Everything is made to order. The food comes up quick and the staff is ever ready to serve the customer. They've got a few booths inside along the window that were nice and clean. What more could you ask for?

You can eat there on their covered patio on a picnic table, or you can drive home and enjoy the food in the comfort of your home. I live less than a mile from this joint, and every time I eat here, I am fully satisfied! The health ratings are always in the mid-to-high 90's - and if you go there in between lunch and dinner, you'll likely see them cleaning the baseboards with a toothbrush! (not joking, I really saw that one time!) The burritos here are, hands-down, the YUMMIEST burritos I've ever had (and I'm originally from California, home of the best Mexican food)! What makes them so special? I think it's the homemade tortillas. Not too many restaurants make homemade tortillas anymore. But it's so much more than that...when you take a bite, the burrito filling (standard meat, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, lard) just melts in your mouth. It's almost like a fine wine that you just want to hold on the middle of your tongue for a few seconds before swallowing! My favorite is the carne asada burrito, which costs $4.95, and it will definitely fill you up. They unfortunately don't have tamales or menudo, but there are other places down Highway 98 that do. I love this place!

The new owners completely gutted the interior and refurbished it, while giving the exterior a much needed coat of paint and facelift. The new owners are Hispanic and the items they carry are geared a bit more to that culture. The convenience store has good selection of beer, wine, and sodas. Most importantly for me, they now carry glass bottle Mexican Coke made with real sugar!! They also have Mexican Fanta in a bottle and a variety of Jarritos Mexican sodas. They have big variety of candy, snack foods and chips. And much to my chilehead delight, a bunch spicy Mexican snacks that I usually only see at Super G or a tienda. Prices seem a bit higher than most local stores that sell similar items though, but hey, it's a convenience store so you're paying for convenience yeh? Another great feature is their selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. I have picked up a fresh mango and blue berries here. Most items are geared toward the Hispanic market. They also stock a lot of staple items on their shelves which is geared toward Hispanic cooking as well. Very nice when I run out tortillas and dont feel like driving into town. They also sell lottery tickets but not scratchers. There are vapes and smokes up front if you need your nicotine fix. The girl that works there the majority of days is super nice and polite. I just wish she would stop calling me sir, makes me feel as old as my knees tell me I am instead of how old my mind thinks I am.
