I stopped at this Pilot Travel Center to fill up on my way from Chapel Hill to High Point. This Pilot is located in between and roughly equidistant to Durham and Greensboro. It's just off I-40/I-85 exit 152 (Trollingwood Road) in Mebane, so it's in a convenient location if you're traveling between the Triangle and the Triad. Note: On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-40 and I-85 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exits are 131-163. The gas station is spacious with 20 pumps and the convenience store features both a Cinnabon inside and a McDonald's restaurant attached. Not bad. There's plenty of parking. I ended up leaving without a full tank of gas, which was kind of annoying. "Pilot Travel Centers" and "Pilot Flying J" are one in the same. Pilot bought out Flying J in 2010. The gas pumps scream commercials at you through a bad speaker and you can't turn it off like other places.

I used my points to get showers waited 40 min and the old manger said that showers weren't her priority. I will never stop here again

This is the very last time I will ever use this gas station. I have been stopping at this particular location. In Burlington, North Carolina for years now and never have, I went through what I experienced today. I went to make a payment using my app. That I have for the gas station and it kept coming up, saying that it was some type of wrong activity being done that. I needed to go inside. I went inside and the clerk then gave me the number to customer service saying that they could not help me. I got on the phone with customer service. They said I should be fine. I went back-and-forth for about 30 minutes between the store clerk and the customer service rep. Trying to get someone just to help me utilize the funds that were on. On my app that I had to upload because it did not recognize my credit card. Both parties were unsuccessful in helping me make this happen. I was then transferred to another representative who basically told me that the clerk did not do a specific amount that was needed. So therefore my funds are on hold and can take up to 24 hours to be released. I am currently stranded an hour away from my home. Because I cannot use the funds that are on the account. I asked, could I then transfer the funds back to my bank account so I will be able to get gas to drive home And was told, absolutely not, that is not possible. I then asked, what else could be done? And was told nothing happened. A nice day. This will never happen again. I am beyond p***** off and will never use this service from them again and will definitely tell my friends and family not to use this company. read more

after reading most of these reviews of other locations, I have to give Mebane Pilot EXIT 152 TROLLINGWOOD , 5 star. 1. Another poster rated 2 : R.L LEXINGTON posted Mebane Pilot at exit 150 which WRONG ......its Haw River. 2. Store staff is polite, courteous an always says , "Welcome to Pilot" as you enter, unless busy. 3. Floors clean 4. Deli food hot, counters an microwave dirty at times. 5. The gas pumps slowly and they seem pretty careless with their tamper seals for the credit card scanners. The inside is clean and nice and the employees were nice. read more

When you're traveling its always nice to find a good clean place to stop. And this place is just that very clean and very good variety. The selection of coffees was awesome! It's attached to a McDonald's so you can grab a quick bite and some snacks for the road. The staff welcomed us in and even told us a little about good ol' Mebane, NC. I take it from it's location and the fact that several buses stop there they see a lot of visitors! But I would definitely stop here again! read more

Usually tied with the Sheetz station two miles away for the best fuel prices along the interstate. Clean, well lit, and almost always BUSY.

AWESOME wall of coffee- go here if you're tired!!!! It is THE place to stop for a good cup of coffee right off the highway (1-40). Gas is pretty cheap too. Sheetz keeps it's coffee on burners which gives it a burnt taste- this place puts it in heavy duty thermoses which preserves it taste nicely. read more

This isn't too bad of a travel center. Everything was clean and fairly well kept. They had gas, which I know comes as a surprise. I put some gas in my car and my car was happy! My car made it further down the road. read more

Traveling through Mebane, NC this afternoon and stopped at Pilot Station 06955 Exit 150. Filled up with gas - $35.50. On arriving home I checked CC balance to find the fuel charge and a bogus charge for $151. Cancelled credit card immediately due to bogus charge. Called Pilot manager to report fraud only to hear they charge the 'HOLD CHARGE' for all transactions. I have used this location for years as sales rep., or DID. NEVER AGAIN! read more

We stumbled upon this stop while we were on the Megabus (Charlotte- DC) and this stop is decorated nicely and they have a few food options. the customer service has been great Everytime we have been here. I am also happy that they have a Cinnabon. the only problems are that the snack charges are high. you can find some of the same snacks cheaper at stores like Walmart and Walgreens. Also, the gas prices are average. I am also happy that Megabus picked this stop. I would recommend this stop to my family and friends when they travel. read more

We do a lot of traveling and frequently stop at Pilots most of the time the restaurants and the store is pretty clean but the bathrooms are disgusting. I barely even seen anybody cleaning. But this morning this bathroom was spotless and there was actually someone in their cleaning it that is appreciated read more

Watch out for pump scamming. Before I even started pumping my gas, The pump charged me three cents. That isn't much to get in a fuss over but if they do that to hundreds of customers a day. It adds up to major theft from Pilot. read more

Best coffee service fresh hotdogs and a clerk who works the sales floor like an art form.

Conveniently located off the interstate. It's a popular place since there was a wait 2 cars deep. Not sure if that is standard or at least the norm on Friday afternoons. read more

Currently the men's restrooms are under renovation, leaving only an outside trailer, which would be fine, except they are not stocked and very dirty. No problem with renovations, but if you have to use a trailer, at least have it stocked and cleaned like the bathrooms would be. read more
