Gas station, convenience store, and rest..... find it all here. Great for not only truckers but for the average person just needing a safe pit stop. The restrooms were clean and I (sshhh) indulged in the cherry almond scented hand scrub which I'm sure is intended to remove grease and other yuckies from hands... but it smelled so good I used it just because. This location had a Hardee's but other locations may partner with other fast food partners. read more

We asked about purchasing the lottery and she proceeded to tell us she gamble when getting in her car or talking to Stanger and stupid replies when we were traveling and wanting to spend money with them. When I do road trips in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, after QuikTrip (QT), I'm generally a fan of Love's Travel Stops. I like them for the same reasons I like QT. They're usually bigger, nicer, and feel cleaner than other gas stations. This Love's is no exception. Also, the newer, the better. This one still felt relatively new and overall, rates above average for me. This location, store #667, opened on August 3, 2017: https://www.loves.com/en/news/2017/august/loves-travel-stops-opens-store-in-mebane-north-carolina It's got 18 pumps for cars and three restaurants on-site in addition to the hot food Love's sells itself. The restaurants are Hardee's (with drive-thru), Chester's Chicken, and Godfather's Pizza. Inside the convenience store, hot foods include various types of hot dogs, taquitos, tacos, sandwiches, and more. The restroom is spacious. Open 24/7. What sets Love's apart from QT is that Love's are also truck stops (most QTs are not) with showers, laundry machines, etc. Love's stores also have a wider selection of things to purchase that aren't food. This is the only Love's between the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) and Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point). It's located just off I-85/I-40 exit 152 in Mebane. I walked into my shower and it still had pee/toilet paper in the toilet smfh like all I wanted after having a long ass day was a clean hot shower. First trip in the Sprinter van with Mrs. K. and she's not experienced a Love's until now. Well, she's impressed. Clean restrooms. Coffee for miles. Roller hot dogs and fixings. Drinks and more drinks. No need for gas at this point but the pump area was clean and there was the usual squeegee with the long stick to get the entire windshield of the van. This is the worst Love I've been to in seven years. The shower was absolutely disgusting with poop stains on the toilet hair all over the floor and trash and dirty towels. Then I go to order a shake. It takes about 10 minutes. Only customer in the store and the shake comes out like strawberry milk, clumpy ice cream Loves. This is very sad. you need to fire all the management here and start over. I stopped by Loves to get an ELD device for my truck and the staff was very helpful. They pointed me right where I needed to go and I was in and out pretty quickly. The store and the restroom were also very clean for the folks that needed a rest stop . read more

Took the time to pull off the highway in order to give my dog a break at the Loves dog park. Which 100% of the time I've experienced beautiful dog parks. This particular Love's dog park is way overgrown with weeds, would not even let my dog go in there. Total waste of my stop, not the usual awesome Love's gas station all over the country has. Okay. I know. It's a travel stop. No. It's not a Buc-cees. However, for the two located on 85s one outside of Burlington, NC and one outside of Salisbury, NC lemme tell you please get the chicken and the tater wedges. Nope. I don't have a pic handy. The chicken is with the wait if they don't have any cooked. The crunch and seasoning are on point. I swear they used the same breader on everything cuz baybeeee the wedges stay crispy! And just like you'd expect a crispy outside and a fluffy inside. Again, don't roll in here looking for full service dining. Walk up and place your order. Normally the Chester's logo means they have chicken just in case you see these elsewhere in the country. If you want. Drink just buy it from the gas station side or the restaurant that is typically next door. No. I haven't tried the chicken sandwich. Quick restroom and gas fill up stop. The Love's has 3 small restaurants inside. Hardee's, Godfather's Pizza and Chester's. All are connected to the convenience store. The first gas pump we stopped at was out of order and a few of the restroom stalls were out of commission. There was a small wait for a stall. On Jun 13, 2023 I came into the shop at the mebane,nc location to get a air compressor and air dryer replaced. This job shouldn't have taken more than 3 hours as I was quoted over the phone the night before. I checked in at 0700 to be too I had 2 people ahead if me. Ok fine . I waited like 4 hrs and checked in again. Again I was told there were 2 people ahead of me. I've been sitting right across from their bays and more than 2 people have came and went by now. Now I check in again around 2pm and they claim they were just getting ready to call me yea sure they were. I get pulled into the shop finally after waiting 7 hrs after arriving. Now the truck is super hot and the mechanic asked me why it was so hot? Like duh I've been sitting in your lot for 7 hrs waiting for you to get me in. He finally got started on taking the stuff apart to get to the compressor and when he disconnected a coolant line to the side of the block it caused coolant to literally shoot out the side. I ended up losing all 10 gallons of my coolant when I should have only replaced maybe 3 gallons. The mechanic said there shouldn't be that much pressure there and I told him the engine is still hot no duh right. Thru the night I would watch him mess with my truck for a little then he would disappear and then repeat. This went on all night long. The mechanic ended up breaking a fitting on the air dryer and instead of getting the correct fitting they Jerry rigged a fitting on it which didn't work and I has a very loud air leak by the time I got back home. Also he told me that bolts for the compressor were missing but once again instead of getting the correct parts he removed bolts from some where on my engine without my authorization. So now I have no idea where I'm missing bolts. Later that night he finally got done and told me there were no leaks, that was a lie. There was a leak at the compressor and several leaks at the air dryer that hurlockers in graham found the next day. Hurlockers got the correct fitting from peterbilt to replace the Jerry rigged fitting the loves uses and hoped would work. I picked up my truck from hurlockers on Thursday and drove down the interstate heading home when I heard a loud boom. It sounded like a CAC hose blowing off. I was close anyway the pipe from the compressor to the Intake blew off because the mechanic at loves didn't tighten it down at all. I ended up having to put all the coolant in myself at the loves that night as well as the power steering fluid they never replaced but told me I was done. I also had to remove their tools from around my truck, remove the wheel chocks, close my hood myself, and remove the oil pan under my engine all after being told I was done. All the mechanics disappeared so I had no one to guide me out of the bay. I am completely disappointed in the level of work I got that night. I ended up not leaving until midnight. The compressor and air dryer job shouldn't have taken more than 3 hrs maybe 4 to do but instead I was charged almost 8 for everything. I normally have good luck at loves shop but this is one I'll never return to. Their reviews on Google are pretty bad as well. I expect a complete refund on this job because I lost 2 full days at another shop fixing the loves screw ups. read more

This place smelled bad, almost chemical like smell. I'm not sure if it is what they used to clean but it smelt like poison and burned my throat. The bathrooms were dirty. There were no drinks or ice. There was only one cashier who didn't know what she was doing so there was a huge line to check out of. The people at Hardee's were slow. Stopped here to try the new Chester Chicken and Godfather's Pizza Express restaurants. The service was fast and friendly. The staff knew each place's menus pretty well. From GPE, we tried the individual sized Combo pizza. It was hot and fresh but tasted like an upscale frozen pizza. From CC, we had a chicken strip meal with a biscuit, fried corn and Mac & Cheese. The chicken strips were good. The biscuit tasted like you average frozen biscuit. The fried corn had a spicy kick. The M&C was average. Since this was out of our way to try, we probably will not be back anytime soon. read more

Absolutely terrible. Employees will ignore you as you speak to them. One worker in hardees told us they were closed because all workers walked out at 11:05. She was SEARCHING for someone to help her. NO CREAMER, it's all in the drawers below. Bathrooms are filthy. Only two stalls open, others say "in use" because they don't want to clean the mess when you open the door. Dont bother rating them from happy face to sad because they've switched the alarm off or just don't care. Go to the pilot across the street, anything is better than here. read more

As far as the showers, they have gone seriously done hill. The bottom portion of the walls on the shower and grout are brown from old caked up dirt. There was hair everywhere and dead bugs that people had killed still on the walls. And this was one of the showers that had been "cleaned". I understand that you cannot clean extensively after every trucker but you can do better than this. Once a month at least a deep clean with some clorox and grout brush in the shower and a rag with some pine sol or whatever to wipe down the walls in the bathroom to get all the dead bugs and hair. I've been coming here since it open they have more then enough help to keep the coffee arrangements open/stocked... the milk machine broke it took them over a month to get parts ... and still can't keep the milk stocked ... like how hard can it be everyone doesn't like black coffee ... if the manager reads this please do something about it because I'm one of many that has found this a problem I am now going to pilot every morning so are others if you truly care about customers . this loves deserve no stars. i gave it one because i couldn't post a review without it. so i am a female truck driver. i went in for a shower this morning. waited 10mins at the fuel desk before i asked for some to be called over to the fuel area. they had plenty showers open but wanted to give me the one that was being cleaned. the shower was not cleaned and what ever the guy sprayed was cutting off my breath. thats right i couldn't breath. went back out to ask for a different shower and was given a ticket to wait. i didn't understand because the showers were unoccupied. only one was being used. definitely a horrible experience and i don't think ill ever return until they train the female supervisor correctly so she can properly train her staff. read more

I can't post a review for the gas station in itself. But I am going to review the Chester's restaurant and Godfathers Pizza. First time here since they have opened. Now the food was great, but the service was very unexceptional. All of the employees on both sides were very rude and especially the main cashier. On a sanitation perspective, it was a big fat zero, the cashier was wiping her face with her hands and then handling food. That's gross. And while I was observing, she was talking about all guests in front of their faces.. she presented herself very poor.. all of them did. The cashier didn't greet anyone she said "pizza or chicken" and the customers were either deciding and they said they needed a minute and she goes "fine by me" and then there were other customers and again she says "pizza or chicken" and when customers asked for large she said "we don't have that, we have minis" and tapped on the pizza case. You can expect customers to know what you have and what you don't. Being a manger in a restaurant it took all I had not to say something, about the atmosphere, attitudes, sanitation, ticket times.
