Service was horrible. The wait was forever, I wanted to cry leaving the salon because my nails were so bad.. I had little fuzzys cured into my nail polish.. Jenny (who did my nails and toes) did not care, the French tip is just sloppy work, the dip on the French tips are uneven. my thumb length is uneven.. I complained but they still charged me $120.. don't get me started on my pedicure. I asked for French tip and she started painting whole nail, and gave me attitude when I requested she fix it.. it's sloppy work as well by the way. I have nail polish where it's suppose to be clear..I'm paying for my nails.. you know. I deserve to leave happy.. I was very disappointed holding my tears back.. And I paid for the delux package pedicure , Not until I left I realized I didnt get paraffin wax applied to my feet :( I love that part.... Anyways it was a bad experience I won't be returning.. if you want your nails done here stick with Mary if you can.. nails look bad in person picture don't do justice

I really wanted to like this place because my usual nail tech is in San Jose, and this place is extremely close to where I live This place is all around awful. My experience here was so bad and I encourage everyone not to come here. From service to cleanliness, I would not recommend this place. My nail technician was Lisa for reference. Service: There were girls that came in during my service, one of them didn't know what she wanted, and instantly you could hear the other nail techs mocking her and making jokes about it each time the girl would speak to them. Horrible customer service. The actual job on me that was done was a simple nude to white ombre acrylic set. I know my nails are difficult as they grow a little crooked. Lisa made comments about how only my pinky nail was perfect and my other nails were ugly. I asked her to use curved tips because my nails grow upwards and I (and my usual nail tech in San Jose) think it looks better with curved tips as opposed to straight tips. Lisa said "I will try" and only took out straight tips. Lisa used so much glue that the tips were sticking to my skin. She finally noticed that the straight tips weren't looking very nice on my nails (as I had told her) so she ripped them off of my nails, and finally put curved nails. But only on the nails she said were ugly. Then she started applying acrylic.... I've taken a couple manicurist classes in beauty school, so I know that if you lay the acrylic properly, it helps you a lot in the long run. I also know that you are never supposed to put acrylic on your clients skin. And that she did. Lisa used a huge brush for my tiny little "ugly" nails, and then put acrylic on my nail, all the while getting it on my skin. I told her and all she said was "sorry" and didn't fix anything about it. Her application was so thick I felt the acrylic weighing my fingers down. And when she started filing, she scratched my nail and left the scratch. The filing was uneven on all nails, and so uneven that I had asked her to continue filing to even the surface out. Lisa just kept making my nails into a skinnier coffin shape instead of fixing the uneven acrylic on top of my nail. When I look at the side of my nails, even the coffin shape was jagged. The application of the tips were glued on crooked, the application of the acrylic was sloppy, the shaping was done so unevenly, and not to mention she charged me $20 extra than I was supposed to pay. When I was ready to pay I paid with card, she did not tell me my card would be charged an extra $2. An acrylic set is $40, but my total was $60. I asked why because that was $20 more than what I was prepared to pay. She said "your nails are crooked so it's harder. And ombre is extra and matte top coat is extra". Usually when you ask for something to get done on your nails, they let you know that it will cost extra. I didn't know difficult nails were up charged. I also didn't ask for a top coat. I specifically said, as she got a gel top coat out, "oh I don't want a top coat I like that it's matte rn" and she pulled out a matte top coat n said it would look prettier with the matte coat. I didn't see a difference but if she wanted to do that for me, no problem. She neglected to tell me she was charging me for a simple set and matte top coat. Not only was this matte top coat extra, but it was sloppily applied too! No two nails look the same. Cleanliness: Lisa was using tools out of her "soiled" kit to drill at my nails as she prepped them for acrylics. She also cut me with her uncleaned tools twice in the same spot. She then told me to wash my hands after she filed my acrylic set, "with no soap". I went to the sink and there was a towel there, not paper towels. Which I think that in this pandemic, is completely unsanitary. I came back to Lisa's station with wet hands because I didn't want to touch the used towel at the sink, and she asked why I didn't use the towel by the sink... three times. I told her that I preferred using paper towels, all three times she asked. She scoffed at each time I answered. I'm highly disappointed in this place. I gave it a couple days before writing my review but the more I look at my nails the more things I find wrong about them. This place is not clean, extremely rude, makes up their own prices, and unprofessional. I will not be coming here again.

Stiletto nails might be my new nail salon to go too! I usually went to Tip n Toe in town but for a while I was getting tired of the same nail colors. So I went today to get a fill and of course they don't answer the phone so I went as a walk in and they had no time to squeeze me in. I decided to go to stiletto since my sister recommended it and omg the colors they have are to die for! They have a good amount of colors to select from and they just got new colors for the fall which I loved ! They even had brown nail polish which I know some of the salons don't have they usually stick to the same colors for years ! Sammy did my fill and she was great! She was very gentle on my nails as well they did not overheat and she took her time. Definitely would recommend and will go back !

Went here for the first time last weekend. Kelly was nice but mostly talked to the other workers instead of the client. For a full set I was out in about 1.5 hours. The nails are not same width or length, she eye balled everything. Was also shocked when asked if I wanted cuticles cut, since every place I've gone to that was automatic when getting a new full set, and wasn't told it was extra cost. Overall experience was okay but won't be going back. Update: I asked for a gel full set and just found out today that they only did acrylic on my nails. Don't go here they charge you for stuff they didn't do!

Lisa is an artist! She took such great care of me, made sure I loved every step of her process and I absolutely adore her work! As soon as I walked in she showed me all her wonderful designs that she could do for me and my nails came out better than I expected! Excellent customer service, amazing work! Thank you Lisa!

I think her name is Cindy, I didn't get to go to her enough before we moved. Her attention to detail is incredible. Her skills are on point. I would recommend trying her out!!!

Disgusting should get 0 stars. This place is so dirty. Everything about it is gross. Looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. And they cut me. Hope I don't end up with some nasty infection. Yuck. I paid 70 bucks for this shit. No massage; no nothing. Probably for the best. Had the two geriatric nail techs servicing me and it was a f*ing joke. Can't wait to report them to the health department.

After 1 year, I have to lower my rating from 5 stars. They cut too deep into the cuticles and the guy is very harsh on me and my friend. One of the ladies that gave me a pedicure ripped out a hang nail (instead of just clipping it down). I told her it hurt and she proceeded to just rip it out and proudly show it to me. My foot was sore for days after that. Their gel polish peels after just days. It used to be a great spot but now they just don't care.

Really unorganized and making a lot of people waste their time. Makes you wonder if any are actually board certified. Apparently only three people only know how to do nails on hands, everyone else only knows how to do pedicures. I called beforehand on a Sunday, get there they tell me to wait. I was very clear I would like to completely remove current set, get new set and I had a picture on my phone of what set I wanted. So they said ok and let me remove my current set in acetone. I prefer that because the method of getting a fake nail tip and digging it under your nail is really painful and super damaging. So I'm soaking my hands in acetone, meanwhile people are coming in asking about prices. They are all getting told five minutes. The lady was super rough and was doing a terrible rushed job. I said clearly I want coffin shape. She puts fake nails on and starts cutting soo short. Why would I want tips if it's soo short?? I told her it's too short and she got really annoyed. So she starts to tear them off! Mind you I already have them glued, nail glue is super strong! Then the other nail workers all start to laugh at me talk really loud all looking at me bursting out laughing and clearly talking smack about me in their own language. Like if none of you can help me then why are you all just looking at me laughing at me? Clearly they were talking trash about me for wanting a two tone design and none of them knew how to do it. I told her to just remove it because it was really sloppy and rushed job. She says to go back tomorrow with girl that knows how to do nails. Umm?? How are you working in a nail salon if you don't know how to do nails??? Like really? Then they tell me ten dollars. I told her and all of then I came in with the intention of getting my nails taken off and getting a new set. I'm not paying ten dollars because you did not even remove them properly. And tomorrow I have to get a new set because now I have no nail tips. Then I give them my credit card and she tells me six dollars because machine charges dollar. Yeah I'm only paying you five dollars and that's it, remove the fee. She did not want to, but I explained how I did not get my nails done and I wasted two hours in there. So they let me pay five dollars. If only one or two people can do nails are they licensed? Cosmetology classes teach hands, feet, skin care.

Acrylics by kelly!!

Ive been going to this place for a while now and they are not only bubbly and very kind with a very relaxed atmosphere, but they are very talented!! I love my nails every time I go and I'm sure everyone there would do an amazing job!! I have been having Kelly do my acrylics recently and she is very thorough and does an amazing job every time!! My acrylics have never lasted as long as they do here as well! If I want them done a certain way I just let her know and she exceeds my expectations. Will definitely continue coming here for years to come! :)

Full set nails

Very fast efficient and effective. First time here I was very specific what I wanted and what I didn't want to see on nails. Lisa did the set. turned out decent not perfect. Pic added for your critic. 5 stars given not for perfection but satisfaction. Could have done better on even polish.

boi cut my toe and it wouldn't stop bleeding and he didn't listen when i said no rocks , would not pay $50 again. don't really recommend

I do want to note that I was a walk-in and waited to be fit into their schedule, which I completely understood once I learned they primarily operate by appointment. I was patient and waited my turn. Unfortunately, my visit didn't go as expected. Shortly after my service began, another client came in with a complaint, and the technician assisting me stepped away to address it. While I understand that situations come up, there was no clear communication about how long it would take or whether I was okay waiting. This left me sitting for an extended period with my service only partially started. From the beginning, the service already felt a bit rushed, and the interruption made it difficult to continue since I was on a time constraint. When I expressed that I needed to leave and asked to have the product removed, I felt somewhat questioned rather than understood. I was told the nail protection that had been started was good for my nails and encouraged to keep it, but one thumb had builder gel unfinished, which didn't feel right to leave as is. To clarify, the only thing applied was the beginning of a nail protector (as explained to me), along with one thumb started with builder gel. The manicure itself was never completed there was no soaking, cuticle care, or full service performed. Despite this, I was still charged for a manicure or a portion of it, which didn't feel appropriate given how little of the service was actually done before the interruption. I also left feeling a bit uncomfortable, as if I was being judged for needing to leave or for being direct about my time constraints. I don't feel clients should have to push or repeatedly explain themselves in situations like this, especially when the delay was outside of their control. I do appreciate that the owner apologized at the end, and I'm sharing this feedback simply to raise awareness of how this experience felt as a new client. I truly hope that in the future there can be more communication, understanding, and consideration for clients' time and situations.

I'm fairly new to Hollister and have tried a few of the nail salons here in town…read more I'm extremely particular and Simply Nails is hands down the spot to go to if you're looking for a place that pays close attention to detail. Just like any salon you need to build relationship with your nail tech by having open communication and expressing your likes and dislikes. Over time your tech will get to know your style. I should've ran when I walked in. The worst part of the whole experience was the instruments.. they use the same instruments on EVERYONE. They're not packaged or sterilized. There was a girl next to me with a SEVERE fungal infection and they were using tools on her that they used on the previous person. I do not leave negative reviews ever but this is a sanitation hazard. Plz go anywhere else. Currently praying I don't get an infection from this place. Pictured is my hack and smeared toe job...
