My mother-in-law and I both went in today to have manicures and pedicures done. This was the first time at the salon, and it will be the last. The work was a average at best. I had to ask them to smooth out a snagged nail after they had completed the pedicure. The manicure left nail polish on my skin and my finger nails were not consistent in shape. TERRIBLE SERVICE and what appears to be terrible people. We were visiting family in town and we brought out daughter here to get her nails done. The tech that helped her was extremely rude, aggressive, and didn't listen to anything she said (included the color she wanted). I had to clean up a bunch of blood this morning because the tech tore up her fingers with the cuticle remover. After all that, she didn't end the color she asked for, THEY DEMANDED A TIP, and her nails were chipping the very next day. Let's be clear. A tip is an added compensation based on the quality of service. They should've paid us. I'm assuming there aren't a lot of places in town, but don't go here. Negative stars. read more

I've tried this nail salon twice. The first time i went my experience was okay. I just had a normal pedicure, came out decent. But unfortunately they had nipped my big toe. Second time around i went in at 6:30pm just for a pedicure and i was turned away cause they said they were going to close at 7pm and did not have time. Also, there was hardly anyone in the salon. I thought that was unusual but, said okay and I'd be back tomorrow. I come back the next day and they were right it does take them longer than 30 mins to do a pedicure and it wasn't even that busy. I would say it took them a little over an hour to do a basic pedicure. Also, my big toe was snipped AGAIN! And the pedicure didn't not come out the best. I must say, this is one of the worst gel manicures I've ever gotten. I went there yesterday to get a gel manicure and was not pleased with how my nails came out. The girl doing my nails rushed so much that I had gel polish around my nails when I left. I didn't bother to say anything cause I felt like she would just mess up my nails. I noticed this morning that my nail color is uneven and the gel was not put on right on most of my nails. I asked for my nails to be a square shape with the edges rounded, and I could feel some pointy edges this morning. I tried making conversation with the lady doing my nails and she would give me short answers and start talking to her other coworkers instead. So much for trying a new place. Went for my first time today. I was a fan of Milady nails but found that they were spending less and less time with me, leaving my pedi not as cleaned up as I before. I found "Simply nails" a bit tight in space but the staff was freindly and they got me seated quickly (Wednesday afternoon about 1pm). Felt that that they took time with me and I didn't feel rushed at all. Prices are good. 20 dollars for a basic pedi. I chose to get the 25 dollar, a step up, plus a added 5 dollars for a callus remover treatment . Soak was a nice bubble bath. Clean up was great! Polish was applied with care and all nails were tipped off for more staying power The massage was weak for my liking but the overall experience was nice. I was 1st to review this place years ago and gave it 5 stars. I just have to changed that after 1-2 years of bad visits. It's gone down hill..... Super dirty, nail shaving EVERYWHERE, tools look dirty, they eat right in front of you (awkward), prices went up, gossip amongst each other and the quality has gone waaaaaaaay down. Last few times I've hated my nails and painted over them because of air bubbles and they didn't use enough coats of nail polish. My mother has also had the same experience..... So sad, this was my absolute favorite nail salon in Hollister! Now, I gotta move on and shop around....you can only have so many bad visits until you're completely done. read more

First time at this nail salon, my first impression was EW I felt like walking out the first minute I walked in. I walked in for a pedicure and I got the $30 pedi which comes with a foot exfoliating scrub and the foot mask & idk what else cause that's all the lady did!!! and plus 10 for gel like what!! Also I think the foot scrubber she used was used. So sad, I go to a great salon in Gilroy and they do the best for the same price they're charging me here. It's unsanitary the whole salon needs a thorough cleaning. The lady who did my pedi stopped half way to talk on the phone for like 5 minutes, she seemed in a rush to finish my toes. The ladies in the salon were nice that's a plus. The color I chose for my toes looks nice. I guess don't expect the best if you walk into a salon and it looks messy. Never coming back.
