I never leave reviews but this one is warranted. I'm new to Hollister and decided to give this place a go since it has the "best" reviews in town. I walked in for a pedicure at 4:05 and walked out at 4:35. Not only was it extremely rushed but this place is DISGUSTING. There's toe nails clippings and dirt all over the floor. I should've ran when I walked in. The worst part of the whole experience was the instruments.. they use the same instruments on EVERYONE. They're not packaged or sterilized. There was a girl next to me with a SEVERE fungal infection and they were using tools on her that they used on the previous person. I do not leave negative reviews ever but this is a sanitation hazard. Plz go anywhere else. Currently praying I don't get an infection from this place. Pictured is my hack and smeared toe job... read more

Simply Nails - Pedicure - Nail Salons Near Me - Hollister, California

I was in desperate need of a pedi so decided to try this nail spot out. I came in as a Walk-in and was seated right away. It is Sunday so it wasn't too busy when I came in the afternoon. Tina did my pedicure and was very gentle with my toes. I would probably come back. She noticed my left big toe was sensitive around the corner of the nail and did a good job cleaning and filing my nails. They were fairly priced. I would come back again. read more

Simply Nails - #4. Pedi + Sea Salt + Paraffin (Hot wax) - Nail Salons Near Me - Hollister, California

I'm fairly new to Hollister and have tried a few of the nail salons here in town. I'm extremely particular and Simply Nails is hands down the spot to go to if you're looking for a place that pays close attention to detail. Just like any salon you need to build relationship with your nail tech by having open communication and expressing your likes and dislikes. Over time your tech will get to know your style. I'm not one to gate keep, so ladies, and men, don't sleep on this place. Tina is amazing and has been doing my nails for the past 7 months, she never disappoints and is extremely meticulous. read more

I'm just in town for a couple of days and decided on Simply Nails based on reviews. I called prior to ensure availability. They were available and attended to me right away. I didn't get their names but very friendly staff. They did both my pedicure and manicure at the same time which was nice and saved time. I love how my nails turned out. Pedicure was great and nicely done. No complaints and I highly recommend. read more

I haven't gotten my fingernails done in 7+ years and I was hoping for a good cut on my atrocious cuticles. I was pleased with the color I received because I wanted a natural nail look, but the manicure was a 2/10. Still have so many cuticles, she didn't clean underneath my nails and obviously from the photo, my nails are all different shapes.. a nice square one with a round one. Super cute. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lady at the front recommended gel instead of acrylics because I wanted short nails. I might come back, but with a different manicurist.. read more

This place is dirty. I've never once seen them clean their tools. One time I sat in a chair and they didn't bring a new towel they had the previous persons dirty clippings.... WTH. I got a fungal infection from this place. It's so hard to get rid of!! I don't want to get a pedicure anywhere anymore. Don't go here it's filthy read more

My mother-in-law and I both went in today to have manicures and pedicures done. This was the first time at the salon, and it will be the last. The work was a average at best. I had to ask them to smooth out a snagged nail after they had completed the pedicure. The manicure left nail polish on my skin and my finger nails were not consistent in shape. Very poor attention to detail. read more

For chrome nails recently by Nikki and have received so many compliments. She always does a great job.

It's hard to find a good nail salon here in town. However, reading all the 5 Star reviews, everyone was praising about Nicky! So, I had to come down and see for myself. And no surprise, Nicky did not disappoint. She did a great job and was quick too! I will definitely come back and see Nicky again. read more

Great service, no waiting. 2 Pedicures. And my Mom, who is 87, didn't want gel. They let her sit there for an extra long time, to make sure polish wouldn't get messed up. Most places, rush you out door. Very kind. read more

First time coming here cause I wanted a certain design and Nikki did such a great job on my nails! Looked just like the picture I showed her that I wanted. She was friendly and had great customer service. Thank you my nails look super good!!! I'd definitely would recommend Nikki if your looking for some good designs! She did a fast job too! As for the pedicure I didn't care for it...... & the cost is super expensive!!!! For nails and a regular pedi it was very pricy here but then again you get what you pay for. My 4 stars definitely goes to Nikki for her nail art but for a pedicure I'd have 2 starts or probably 1 and the prices. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE and what appears to be terrible people. We were visiting family in town and we brought out daughter here to get her nails done. The tech that helped her was extremely rude, aggressive, and didn't listen to anything she said (included the color she wanted). I had to clean up a bunch of blood this morning because the tech tore up her fingers with the cuticle remover. After all that, she didn't end the color she asked for, THEY DEMANDED A TIP, and her nails were chipping the very next day. Let's be clear. A tip is an added compensation based on the quality of service. They should've paid us. I'm assuming there aren't a lot of places in town, but don't go here. Negative stars. read more

I must say, this is one of the worst gel manicures I've ever gotten. I went there yesterday to get a gel manicure and was not pleased with how my nails came out. The girl doing my nails rushed so much that I had gel polish around my nails when I left. I didn't bother to say anything cause I felt like she would just mess up my nails. I noticed this morning that my nail color is uneven and the gel was not put on right on most of my nails. I asked for my nails to be a square shape with the edges rounded, and I could feel some pointy edges this morning. I tried making conversation with the lady doing my nails and she would give me short answers and start talking to her other coworkers instead. So much for trying a new place. Never going here again. read more

I've tried this nail salon twice. The first time i went my experience was okay. I just had a normal pedicure, came out decent. But unfortunately they had nipped my big toe. Second time around i went in at 6:30pm just for a pedicure and i was turned away cause they said they were going to close at 7pm and did not have time. Also, there was hardly anyone in the salon. I thought that was unusual but, said okay and I'd be back tomorrow. I come back the next day and they were right it does take them longer than 30 mins to do a pedicure and it wasn't even that busy. I would say it took them a little over an hour to do a basic pedicure. Also, my big toe was snipped AGAIN! And the pedicure didn't not come out the best. ALSO I ASKED FOR THE BASIC PEDICURE WHICH WAS $20 AND WAS CHARGED $25. Not cool. read more

Would not get a pedicure here. Not gentle at all, and the skin around nail got swollen and irritated

Went for my first time today. I was a fan of Milady nails but found that they were spending less and less time with me, leaving my pedi not as cleaned up as I before. I found "Simply nails" a bit tight in space but the staff was freindly and they got me seated quickly (Wednesday afternoon about 1pm). Felt that that they took time with me and I didn't feel rushed at all. Prices are good. 20 dollars for a basic pedi. I chose to get the 25 dollar, a step up, plus a added 5 dollars for a callus remover treatment . Soak was a nice bubble bath. Clean up was great! Polish was applied with care and all nails were tipped off for more staying power The massage was weak for my liking but the overall experience was nice. Hoping my return visits will be the same. read more

I was 1st to review this place years ago and gave it 5 stars. I just have to changed that after 1-2 years of bad visits. It's gone down hill..... Super dirty, nail shaving EVERYWHERE, tools look dirty, they eat right in front of you (awkward), prices went up, gossip amongst each other and the quality has gone waaaaaaaay down. Last few times I've hated my nails and painted over them because of air bubbles and they didn't use enough coats of nail polish. My mother has also had the same experience..... So sad, this was my absolute favorite nail salon in Hollister! Now, I gotta move on and shop around....you can only have so many bad visits until you're completely done. read more

First time at this nail salon, my first impression was EW I felt like walking out the first minute I walked in. I walked in for a pedicure and I got the $30 pedi which comes with a foot exfoliating scrub and the foot mask & idk what else cause that's all the lady did!!! and plus 10 for gel like what!! Also I think the foot scrubber she used was used. So sad, I go to a great salon in Gilroy and they do the best for the same price they're charging me here. It's unsanitary the whole salon needs a thorough cleaning. The lady who did my pedi stopped half way to talk on the phone for like 5 minutes, she seemed in a rush to finish my toes. The ladies in the salon were nice that's a plus. The color I chose for my toes looks nice. I guess don't expect the best if you walk into a salon and it looks messy. Never coming back. Good experience though. read more
