This adorable shop is the perfect place to stop along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Pacific Coast Highway. Inside you'll find a great gift shop, but the real draw here is Two Fish Baking Company! We had to try their famous sticky buns which are loaded with carmel and walnuts. The cardamom roll was super fluffy with a perfect amount of spice. Will definitely be back here again for more pastries. read more

What can be said about Stewart's and the fine folks at 2 fish bakery that hasn't already been said. Nothing to be honest but let's give these nice hardworking folks some well deserved love and keep supporting them so they flourish and stay open and successful ! In the area as we slowly get our home in Sea Ranch finally built and without a kitchen we are earring out for all meals. This place is a personal favorite - get a breakfast burrito (we rarely get there early enough for the biscuits) with chorizo and a nice coffee and some baked goods and prepare for a full belly and a sugar rush and a nap. Mediocre food in a store that thinks a lot of itself. Uncomfortable seating inside and out. But the star of the show is the tone deaf naming of "the pilgrim" for sandwich on the menu full of other sandwiches without special names. This is in a store located 4 miles from a native reservation. On land most certainly stolen through colonization. I'll enjoy never returning. read more

Road trip worthy breakfast! Driving the coastal highway one? You can't pass by Stewart's point shop without trying breakfast from Two Fish Baking (incredible bakery within the shop)! Their breakfast biscuits and burritos are drool worthy and gigantic! I've had the bacon burrito and classic egg & cheese biscuit, and would happily repeat on all fronts. If you're not super hungry, the burrito travels better than the biscuit. I love stopping here to grab a burrito before meeting friends for a day hike. Friendly and busy local bakery and general store. Recently visited Sea Ranch and the lodge was closed for an event for the weekend. Worked out great for us as we discovered this great location just two miles from Sea Ranch with helpful and friendly staff and a variety of baked goods and drinks. They accommodated hubby's request to add vanilla syrup to his coffee (in his cup he brought, which a lot of people did in the three days we stopped by) and made me an extra hot hot chocolate as requested. I highly recommend the hot chocolate- for reference, I'm not a Starbucks fan. We saw lots of repeat customers as we returned every day, and except for the morning buns and their sticky rolls, the pastries seemed to change each day. But go early - they sell out quickly (by 9 am the Sunday we were there). read more

Stewart's Point Store is a roadside gem just past Salt Point State Park and South of Mendocino. If you're coming from Sonoma County it's at the end of Skaggs Springs Road like a light at the end of a tunnel. It's a store, deli, bakery and cafe all in one. They serve great coffee, awesome baked goods, a great calzone and solid sandwiches. You'll find me stopping here everytime I pass through. They've got hot cross buns right now too. There's a few tables out front for you to enjoy some sun with your food. Great stop on the way back home or up to Mendocino or east to Sonoma from the coast. read more

This rural shop couldn't have been more perfect. The family owned bakery and kitchen cooked up some of the best breakfast burritos my family has ever had. The pastries were flaky and sweet, and the drink menu provided so many delicious options with non-dairy alternatives. Not only that, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, and got our food ready quick. The outdoor seating looks out on the 100+ year old buildings, and of course the ocean. This cute tiny roadside stop has great breakfast. The burrito is huge and could easily feed two. Sando's are cracking. Baked goods are fresh. Pastries were delicious. We have not tried the pizza but I'm sure they are great too. The staff were very friendly and quickly handled a morning rush. It can get busy and the food can take up to 20mins to come out but carefully made with love and well worth the wait. Order ahead if you are in a hurry. read more

The beer selection here is pretty impressive. They had beers from Altamont, Henhouse, and Russian River, so I was completely happy. They also have eggs and other assorted groceries. The Stewart's point store was incredible. We got recommended the store by a ranger at our campsite and I'm so happy we stopped here. They had a wide selection of goods to purchase from soap to batteries to alcohol, in addition to the fresh items available for purchase. We personally sampled the drinks (hot chocolate and a latte) plus the sticky bun and a bacon burrito. They told us each of the food items is made fresh every day plus we watched them make our drinks right in front of us. The drinks were amazing-I loved my hot chocolate plus even the latte my girlfriend ordered despite myself not usually enjoying coffee. Now I'll discuss the food. Oh my the sticky bun was amazing and they did not hold back with loading the burrito with bacon, potatoes, egg, and cheese. They all were warm and tasted fresh, giving me quite a morning boost. We then ordered a muffin and cookie to go, and both tasted amazing even after sitting in the car for a while. The atmosphere was quite cozy as well while the staff was very kind and welcoming. So happy to find this place along the PCH! read more

We were a party of 4 on our way to Sea Ranch. We ordered 4 sandwiches which we all enjoyed! I had the egg salad and it was perfect. However, PLEASE open your restrooms! I know it's "Covid" time, but that is really a lame excuse. You have a restroom facility in the parking lot and we saw several people leave when there was not a restroom available. Also, this would have been 5 stars, but the gals at the counter had the personalities of rocks. (and just saying, we are a very amiable group). A little customer service goes a long way. A true General Store straight out of yesteryear that has everything a farmer & homemaker need ~ including gas pumps! Perfectly & attractively organized, it took me back many years. Calzone was outstanding, and the store has a nice little selection of craft beer. A nice place to stop for a snack on the way up the coast. The reasoning for the 3 stars 1) The public restrooms were closed and no outdoor trash cans 2) We were harassed by an employee when we took down a stacked bench. We did this so we didn't have to sit right next other patrons enjoying their food. I understand running a small business is tough, especially during these unique times with COVID-19. That said, being negatively talked down to by a hostile employee while trying to social distance, was disappointing. In the future I will not support this business. read more

One of my absolute favorite places on the Mendocino coast. Everything they make is delicious. The staff has always been very friendly and courteous. The calzones are perfection, the bread and baked items fantastic and don't get me started on the ice cream (yum). Pretty good sandwiches that can be a little hit or miss, depending on what you ordered. The ingredients are just top notch, but the recipes leave a little to be desired. We had a Pilgrim sandwich, with quality turkey on a gorgeous baguette... topped off with some of the most disgusting onions we've ever seen. I mean, are they supposed to be grilled? Because they look like they were dunked in a quarter inch of hot oil at a teppan restaurant and then immediately dropped onto the sandwich. The were still crispy for God's sake. We just picked them off and threw them in a field. Carmalized onions would've really nailed it here and probably took the weight off the cook trying to sautee onions during lunch rush, but hey, that's just an idea. Bottomline is that half-cooked onion is about appealing on a turkey sandwich as gefilte fish, so I'm not sure where that culinary desire is coming from. Maybe try a little mustard relish instead? I dunno. And a smile every now and then wouldn't hurt either. I mean, ya'll look miserable behind the counter there. What's up with that? read more

Great little country store to stop by on your way to Mendocino from SF. Right on the One in the tiny town center of Stewart's Point. Good selection of snacks and had a brisket sandwich they had on special. Delicious! Ice cream and bathroom break then off again on the scenic drive. They have gas pumps but were out so needed to drive 10 miles more north to Gualala. There is a 76 and another gas station there. read more
