I ate here on July 3 with my girlfriend. We ordered a large veggie pizza. The customer service was great. It was very busy. They were very patient with everyone and gave real honest estimates on when pizzas would be ready. The spot is right off the main road which is nice. There is plenty of parking. However the is not much inside seating. It is very limited and compact. There is a good amount of outside seating, but it was too cold for us. So we decided to take our pizza to go. Pizza was good. A little above average. The veggies were crisp and the sauce was flavorful. The crust was ok. The cheese did not taste as good as I was hoping for. My girlfriend did have the leftovers the next day and loved it even more. So it definitely has cold pizza potential. read more

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening and it was quite busy. Got a large veggie pesto pizza for $42. There's a $1 fee for using a credit card. We were told the wait was about an hour, but it was more like 40 minutes. The pizza was good, but a bit pricey for a vegetarian pizza. Solid pizza spot located in Gualala, def worth trying if you are visiting. If you can, I'd recommend calling in advance then picking up your order as they get busy. But sometimes it's hard to get your call to go through as they get busy (especially on holiday weekends and dinners) so you might have to plan to just drive up, order, then go back at quoted time for pick up (or just wait for dine in). They don't skimp out on toppings and the crust is crunchy and on the thicker side. read more

Sorry I don't have pictures, we were starving and gobbled up our pizza b4 the thought occured to snap a shot. This pizza joint is right in town. There is a couple of tables inside and picnic tables outside for dining in. We did takeout for our order. The pizza was piping hot when we received it and the order was correct. I got the western combo and my hubs got the margarita. Both were pretty yummy. The missing star is for the crust. It was soft and the underside was limp. I've visited Sea Ranch the past two times and have stopped here both times. The pizza is delicious! I get the pepperoni with kalamata olives. I love that they have these types of olives available, as many places just carry the black olives which I'm not a fan of. The crust is crunchy but still soft. This past weekend when I stopped by, I placed an order in person and waited maybe 15 minutes outside while watching the sunset over the ocean. Pizza ready for pickup in 15 minutes. Called in an order for pickup on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm and the pizza was hot out of the oven and ready for me by 3:45pm! The best comfort food for a lazy weekend! We ordered a large Mendocino pizza ($38 without tip) to-go. The staff were friendly and had our pie waiting for us upon arrival. We are not a fan of red-sauce pizzas, and Upper Crust Pizzeria offers a number of sauceless specials. The Mendocino has tomatoes, garlic, chicken, artichoke hearts, fresh cut basil, and mozzarella. Our first night in Gualala means a trip to town for Upper Crust Pizzeria and Surf Market for groceries! Upper Crust pizza is delicious - you call to place an order, within 20-25 minutes our order was ready! This last time I did a Caesar salad too, fresh crisp lettuce - it was great. Inside of restaurant is on small size - just a few tables, but we were getting it to go anyway, but you could easily hang out and enjoy your pizza! I don't know what magic is in their sauce, but its really fresh, ingredients are plentiful and again, very fresh tasting! Cannot wait for our return in a few months! read more

I forgot what it was but it was a specialty pizza pretty much all meat pizza. We also ordered wings and asked that they be extra Krispy so they came out late, like after we ate pizza late but we did ask extra krispy soooo..... My family and I stay in The Sea Ranch once a year and always look forward to ordering our pizza from Upper Crust Pizzeria in the neighboring town of Gualala. However this year was kind of a bummer. We ordered 2 large pizzas, one with ham, pineapple and bacon and another large with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and jalapeño. There was a generous amount of toppings, however the crust on both pizzas was overly thin and tough and there was very little cheese and red sauce on both pies, resulting in disappointingly dry pizzas. While not totally terrible, not that great either for 2 large 3-4 topping pizzas at $60. Especially with how good Upper Crust used to be. Won't deter us from coming back next year, but still hoping it'll be better next time. read more

This spot was a perfect and random location on Highway one as we drove north to Mendocino. We got there right as it opened and were greeted really warmly by the staff. My husband opted for meat lovers, and I had the Mendocino. My husband really liked his and I absolutely adored mine since I don't eat red sauce. These guys know what they are doing. A small establishment and only 4 people working. They were working together like an well oil machine. From cutting the dough to rolling and forming the pizza crust to adding topping to sticking in the oven and they were on point to estimate how long the wait was for the pizza.Ended up getting a Margherita and the house Combo pizza. We love coming here every time we're in town. The pizzas are consistently great, and cooked properly. You can call in your order ahead, or if you order there, expect about a 20-30min wait cause they make them fresh. There is nice seating inside and outside to pick from, or take it to go. Wine by the glass, bottled beer and soda (maybe juices too?) in a serve-yourself case, but no ice which was a little disappointing. Was this the best pizza I've ever had? No. But it was cooked well, had flavorful crust (I ate it, which says a lot as I usually stop eating at the edge when I run out of toppings), and a decent amount of pepperoni.
