Solid pizza option with great view. Good service. I could use more topping, feels like a lot of crust when you compare ratio. The beet salad was my favorite and made me feel better about having the pizza afterwards. 5/5 The Greek pizza 4/5 Pepperoni bacon pizza 3/5 Eat it hot! Does not travel well- very chewy crust.

The pizza at Point Arena Pizza was very good! Normally pizza sauce is not my favorite, I frequently ask for a white sauce on my pizza rather than red, but this sauce was a nice, slightly sweet, mild tasting sauce which didn't take away from the toppings at all. We ordered two pizzas, one Meat (sausage and pepperoni) and the Hog (bacon, sausage, and garlic), along with an order of garlic cheese bread. We had leftovers but not because we didn't want to keep eating! Crust was good, not too chewy, not too soft. The service was friendly and the food came out very quickly. There's a selection of beer and other soft drinks inside. Note that the pizzas are only offered in one size, which is 14", so if you have a large group you may need a few extra pizzas! And of course there's the view. Sitting next to a beautiful beach eating delicious pizza, what's better??

Truly Delicious pizza!! Best we've had in a long time - better than pizza we've had in New York! The young woman who greeted us was super friendly and inviting!! So glad we found this place!!

I am surprised that Shawn and I have never found the boat launch in Point Arena. With that said, we were hungry and stopped in to Point Arena Pizza. This is the lunch/dinner you want to have when you are craving pizza! Off the beaten path, but well worth it!

Slice of Greek. Substantial build-your-own slice and bottled Coke for $12. Great location too, enjoy your slice with an ocean view.

The customer service was top-notch--friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The pizza crust was perfect--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--and packed with flavor. Every bite was delicious, and the fresh ingredients really stood out. Plus, you can't beat the views! Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or lingering to enjoy the scenery, this spot is a must-visit. The hours are tough since it's only open 5 hours each day but if you're in the area stop in for a slice or a whole pie.

Called in my pizza order. Very tasty pizza. The young blokes that work here are very hard working and efficient. They aim to please. Friendly too. Inside and outside dining right on the ocean. If you don't eat here you're missing out on a good thing!

"Shredding fresh GNAR daily"at the cove in Point Arena. This pizzeria serves up some delicious pizza. The dough was chewy but has a good crust on the bottom. Cheesy melty mozzarella over a tasty red sauce topped with pepperonis sausage olives and mushrooms. We also got the Vert but Im not a fan of pesto my friend likeD the artichoke hearts and enjoyed the different pizza. Sky was friendly fast and efficient. Thansk for taking care of us. View is great during sunset smell the fresh salt in the air.

Girls weekend has started! When we researched places here in Point Arena we saw that there was a pizza spot that we wanted to try out. It was like a 5 minute drive from where we were staying. Point Arena Pizza was right on the water. So pretty but a little chilly. We ordered the following: Meat Pizza- pepperoni, sausage and herbs This pizza was my favorite! Split Hog-half bacon, half sausage and garlic This was ok not my favorite but my friends enjoyed it. Garlic cheesy bread- this was a good choice to get. Super yummy! Would be great with ranch or marinara sauce. Note to self- we were advised to call in our order instead of ordering there. They are not doing indoor dinning. Only available seating is outside. They have heaters but I would definitely bundle up. If your every in point arena I highly recommend this pizza spot.

This place was popping on a Summer Thursday night. A mix of locals and travelers tells me this place is popular. Our pizza was awesome and the beet salad was a perfect compliment. Check this out while in Point Arena or when passing through.

Pre-dinner popcorn is a great touch, and it's top notch popcorn - crisp and salted well. Carrot salad - loved this. Smoky carrots roasted nice and soft with some sweetness, some crunch, some creaminess, and a tasty dressing. Great dish! White bean soup - this is very savory and hearty, perfect on a cold day, and the portion is generous too! The sundae is such a great idea. Classic soft serve with pretty much every topping option you can think of. Thank you for the great experience and the great meal!

The place is lively, the vibes are great, and the service attentive- however, the food is another story. We started out with a michelada and a sangria - both were decent. Next ordered the bean dip that came with a beet hummus and a black bean dip plus bread to eat it with. The dips were just ok flavor wise, but the bread that it came with was burnt, overly salty and just not enjoyable. We were hungry and hoping this was just the wrong item to order. So we ordered the buffalo wings that took FOREVER to come out and it's probably because they were busy overcooking them- super dry chicken meat and the most unpalatable potato wedges that I have been served. Several pieces looked rotten and they were completely drenched in oil. No crisp, overcooked- disgusting. Paid $70 + tip and left hungry. Unfortunately, once we left there no other food places were open. Won't be back.

The decor is eclectic, which many interesting things displayed everywhere. On our first visit, we started with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder ($13). This was great! It was thick with clams and even passed my "spoon test", which is being able to support the spoon standing vertically in the soup without falling over. It passed the test due to the thick soup with lots of clams. (See photo). We each had the Chicken Pot Pie ($22) from the daily special menu. This was delicious and thick and topped by a puff-pastry like thick topping. They also make Irish Coffee ($11) that was perfect. Just as good as the Buena Vista Bar in San Francisco (where this cocktail was invented). On our second visit, two nights later, my wife had a French Dip sandwich with sweet potato french fries ($22). She found it enjoyable and very good. I had a Patty Melt ($22) which was delicious. They make an espresso martini ($14) that is delicious! On both visits, the service was quick and friendly. After a morning canoe down the Big River and those stairs, we turned into ravenously hungry people. We asked the gift shop lady for food recommendations. Without skipping a beat, she said: "Patterson's Pub! If you get there before 2:00 PM, you can get brunch!" Challenge accepted. We took our appetites straight to Mendocino's main drag. They had a tented patio in the sunny-but-stubbornly-windy Mendocino air, but we opted for the interior. Good choice. It has the ultimate "Authentic Irish Pub" starter pack: Cool and dark? Check. Crisp draft beers? Check. Full bar? Check. The SF Giants game playing on multiple screens? Check and check. We successfully beat the 2:00 PM brunch buzzer, and the specials menu looked to good to pass up! Lobster Wontons (Pub Special): Gone in a literal flash. Blink and you missed them. Crabcakes Benedict (Pub Special): Hands down, the best this diner has ever had. The hollandaise sauce (which they kindly served on the side per request) was a lemony deliciousness! The Comfort Food Crew: The rest of the party ordered clam chowder (Boston), garlic bread, and a fried cod sammy with thin-cut fries. All around lip-smacking! The Liquid Refreshment: Paired it all with a half-pint of Scrimshaw Pilsner (shoutout to local Fort Bragg brewing). It hit the spot and paired perfectly with the crabcakes benedict! The "Too Spicy" Drama: We did hit one minor speed bump. One of the dishes turned out to be a bit too spicy for one of our sensitive diners (not me). The waitstaff deserve a medal here. They went out of their way to try and "de-spice" the meal. While my companion's tastebuds were past the point of return, the staff's effort and sweetness were noticed and much appreciated! . Excellent customer service. The Verdict: A wonderful, perfect meal for a weekend getaway in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. We will absolutely be back. Let this be a lesson to you all: always ask a local!

Usually we like sitting at the bar to see the chefs do their thing, but this place is not like that at least the night we went to which was surprising cause Japanese establishments typically are cooking out in the open. They had a lot of different sakes which was really nice to see but no draft beer unless I missed it. They let you pick a cup for your sake which is so cute, I loved that. All their table wear was so beautiful. We got a fruity sake first and loved that one. The second one was the "goku" it was giving straight sake. I'd prolly stick to fruitier ones. The server was very kind and she was easy to talk to and provided great service. As for the food, I thought it was pretty okay! We ordered the omakase which was $75 per person and it was very filling. We had trout sashimi which had some bite texturally not my fave fish tbh. Potato Salad which a jammy egg omg I loved it but wondered how it'd taste if the egg was marinated. The mushroom soup was lemony and oniony it was pretty good. The karage could've been crispier imo and I wish the wasabi aoli was a lil different but it was still good. The robata was hella good my fave was the meatball one, I'm not a big fan of cartilage but that it very well cooked, and I appreciated the pile seasoning provided as well. The strawberry topped panna cotta was so good no notes. Overall, pretty good and I'd go again if I was in this area and order individual dishes especially the potato salad and panna cotta. Not really the vibe of an izakaya imo they also don't have ginger but def a nice Japanese restaurant with some twists.
