Grilled cheese with bacon.

I have a new favorite restaraunt in the area! Great food in a very thoughtful, intentionally community oriented, wondeful atmosphere. Locally sourced and seasonal. I highly recommend eating here!

Lively spot with yummy food and super friendly service. It was hopping in a Friday evening. Even so, the owner came by our table several times to chat. And the young chef did, also! Enjoyed an amuse-bouche popcorn (fun!), Anchor Bay Brewers Pilsner, chicken wings, potato leek soup (with big chunks of potato). Will definitely be back for more. 5/2/25

Great community space with a locally-sourced menu! I cannot begin to express how stoked I am that Paul & Kim opened the Record! This historic building on Main Street in Point Arena was never meant to sit empty. They have transformed it into The local gathering spot with a well-curated menu, top notch beverages (alcoholic and zero-proof) and rotating local entertainment (live music and poetry). For our inaugural visit, we ordered a sampling of items. Before we had even ordered, we were greeted with just-popped popcorn made in their vintage popcorn maker. We started with a pint of their Point Arena Brewers hazy IPA and a glass of Woody's N/A Blanc de Blanc wine. Both were the perfect accompaniment to the salty & buttery popcorn snack! After our aperitive, we ordered a bowl of the Kabocha squash and leek soup, plus their smoked chicken wings with blue cheese herb sauce and Pelican bread pretzel roll. Both were delicious, but my personal preference was sneaking the pretzel roll from the chicken wings to dip in the soup - delicious! We ordered a second round of beverages - the "Stay While" (a ginger, peach, honey bush iced tea) and another hazy IPA - and digested for a bit before wrapping up the experience with their homemade, vegan soft-serve ice cream. I asked Kim (co-owner) to prepare me a sweet treat "her way" and was surprised with a decadent combination of chocolate soft-serve topped with coconut flakes, black sesame seeds and a drizzle of Ecuadorian chocolate. The food and drinks are all prepared intentionally and plated beautifully, and the service is friendly and welcoming. We ended up staying much longer than anticipated; talking with other patrons and enjoying the ambience. I am already looking forward to returning!

We had a fabulous visit to The Record. They are located in downtown Point Arena in the cutest little building with a nice outside deck. They often have live music which is a nice touch. We enjoyed their menu and how much thought went into the non alcoholic options. The beer is also brewed by them and very good. We loved their wings with the chili oil on them. And the mushroom sandwich was also super flavorful. We can't wait to come back and visit as it's such a short drive from Sea Ranch which we visit often.

Summer salad with bacon and everything else!

We were a table of 4 on a Wednesday evening. As we sat down, 2 bowls of fresh popcorn appeared on the table. The building has been restored and the owners did an amazing job. We had the "shareable " summer salad, which was enough for all 4 of us. We also had a mushroom melt, a pulled pork sandwich and the chicken wings with blue cheese. Everything was fresh and delicious. Also very accommodating to dietary restrictions, which was very appreciated. If you're in Point Arena, it's worth stopping here.

Chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup and lavender honey.

Lovely place! Super cute! Great food&drinks. Would definitely come here on a regular basis.

We went to the newly opened The Record in downtown Point Arena tonight and had a wonderful time. The room is warm and casual complete with well curated tchotchkes and windows which look across HWY 1, downtown Point Arena, and the hills beyond. The menu is focused & well thought out farm to table, elevated pub grub. We appreciated all the little touches like vintage silverware & plates. Beautiful glass tea pots with better quality loose tea, and house brewed craft beer were delicious. The sandwiches (grilled cheese & chicken pesto) and the baby greens salad were yummy, well prepared and featured local ingredients. Service was friendly and efficient. We greatly appreciate what the new owners are doing for the community by opening The Record!

Dinner of spicy tomato soup, focaccia, and grilled cheese, with a fun lemon ginger non alcoholic mocktail.

Cool little spot with great food and good vibes. Open later than a lot of places along the coast too.

The sandwiches are a few notches above what one would expect - we enjoyed the pulled pork and the mushroom melt.

Northspur Brewing Company - Pulled pork, juicy Carolina juice, all the IPA. Def take the old road if you're passing thru and sample this. The bypass is nonsense.

I wonder if the one and two star people actually had Yelp friends their frown would be more…read moreinclined to turn upside down. No telling, I guess. But here's to hoping. Friends! Smiles! And. That's my experience of Northspur. I've never stopped here with friends, but I've thought of my friends while I've visited. As in, this is a place my friends would really like. And, this: it feels like folks from around these parts that have friends come here with friends, and while they're here from all appearances they have a really good time. They could be faking but I don't think they are. The Willits bypass as observed by others and maybe other places by me was an unnecessary boondoggle that not only separated normal CA taxpayers from their money so as to avoid maybe five minutes extra travel time as they whisked north to ... to where would anyone need to be whisked in the north. I-5 is for whisking. 101 is for a different kind of trip. Not only that, the bypass also then has folks that don't know what's in Willits pass right on by. Their loss, though also a stake in the heart of the vitality of local business. Thanks, legislature, Caltrans and people that make money building things we don't need. This then for the people that would otherwise whisk by without stopping and are maybe hungry and turn to Yelp as the leave Ukiah to see what's ahead. Northspur is ahead, my friends. And if it's late in the day, get a room in town so you can sample every drop Northspur has to offer. The vittles aren't complicated, the menu isn't exhausting - but everything on it is good. The brewed offerings are delicious. Staff is straight out of Lake Woebegone (all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average). Friends with friends are having a rollicking good time and the vibe vibes with this happiness. I will stop every time. Try it once and I guarantee you will as well.
