We slept on Wolf House for way too long! We had always talked about driving up to give it a try, especially after hearing how good their food was suppose to be. Recently, we were up in Fort Bragg and on our way home we decided it was time to finally stop in. Man, was it worth it! Even though we were slightly exhausted, we were still able to enjoy a few amazing pints and incredible food. I got the philly cheesesteak and it might be my new favorite in the area! Our server was attentive and personable and brought our dog a treat from the kitchen! The selection of brews was awesome and we got to sample before ordering, everyone was happy with their choices, I wish I could remember the names! We had an order of fried green beans with two types of sauce as a snack and they were delish, done to perfection and both sauces were killer! The whole family enjoyed our lunch at Wolf House Brewing. There is a lot of seating indoors, but it's a little dark in there and it was a cool, sunny day, so we chose the patio seating. It's nice because most of the tables are partial sun/partial shade so you won't get too hot. Our server was very friendly. Our appetizer and drinks came out first, followed by the entrees. For appetizers, we shared the pretzels and beer cheese. Pretzels were great, warm, salty, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Beer cheese was good, you could definitely taste the beer that was used in it. I had the Chipotle Honey chicken sandwich. The sauce was perfect, sweet and not too spicy. Chicken was crispy and delicious, I ate every bite! The food may not come out looking like much, but the taste is there! Don't miss this restaurant if you're in the area. We walked in on Mother's Day and were greeted by Elise, one of the owners, who kindly seated us and was very pleasant. When our server, Adri, came to take our order, she took the order of the couple next to us first--even though they had arrived after we did. She then immediately took our order. About 30 minutes later, the couple received their burgers, while we continued to wait another 15 minutes. Our server never checked in on us until I managed to catch her attention from across the patio. Instead of approaching the table, she addressed us from where she stood. When I asked if she knew how much longer our food would take, she rudely responded, "I don't know, I'm not cooking!" Immediately after, she came back outside with our food and said, "Here's your food. It has been 45 minutes." I responded that I understood they were busy, but I did not appreciate her disrespectful response from across the room. We had waited that long for an order of boneless wings and a few sliders and yet by the time the food arrived, the experience had already ruined our appetite. I couldn't even enjoy my meal. She later returned to "check" on us and rudely addressed my mother directly, asking--as if I weren't there--"Is this your daughter?" before walking away with a dismissive "uh-huh." Even the couple next to us was appalled at the treatment we received. Adri then had our tab brought over by Elise, who was kind, apologetic, and even offered a discount. I assured Elise that we didn't need a discount and expressed our gratitude for her kindness. I simply hoped no one else would have the same experience we did. We had already had dinner and decided to just sample a few beers and pick up some cans of beer to go. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. In addition to beers and other drinks, they have a full restaurant here. They have a very nice bar with lots of beers on tap. They also have an abundance of indoor and covered outdoor seating. No food for us on this particular night, but we did sample five of their IPAs and all were delicious. I picked up a a couple of 16 ounce cans of IPA to add to my collection. After a full day of wine tasting the following day, we were anxious for a bite to eat and something tasty to wash it down. We came back to Wolf House Brewing and ordered the Cloverdale Twinkies and the shrimp tacos, together with a Frost Bite IPA and a glass of Chardonnay. What is a Cloverdale Twinkie? It is a delicious cheese infused jalapeño pepper, wrapped in bacon, and deep fried with a beer batter coating. Two come per order. True decadence. The shrimp tacos are also delicious. Great vibe. We stopped by for lunch and boy did we hit the jackpot! We had the lunch special - fried chicken sandwich with grilled onions, jalapeños, blue cheese crumbles and buffalo sauce. We are huge fans of this place and will continue to be however we were greeted so rudely and aggressively by a server we've had before and had a nice time with. I can't expect her to remember everyone's faces. This is a totally cool small brewery styled restaurant. The menu has a number of tasty lunch foods that are unique but pretty much the type of food you would expect at a pub. They have home-made pretzels that are super delsch and they are locally famous for their chicken face melter sandwich. Last time I stopped in to eat they had a live band playing that sounded great. I stayed for a couple extra beers just to keep listening. Over this past weekend they hosted a car show and chili cook off. We definitely worked up an appetite on the drive to Cloverdale and watching our Fort Bragg Timberwolves Baseball Team tame the Eagles. The town offers many interesting choices, our pick today was Wolfhouse. Cool interior, great service, a lively crowd and sports on TV were all in abundance but not pictured; it was a chance to connect with family I haven't in far too long. I am a huge fan of wings and they were tasty, but by far the worst thing we chose- the Facemelter and aptly named Wuhan sauces were on point. Luckily as the Patriarch and designated food taster, I got to sample everything . The Facemelter Fried sandwich was cooked to perfection and still juicy. The burgers cooked medium well (I like my mooing) were incredible too. The pulled pork sandwich was definitely another winner, tender and delectable. I'm kind of a fry connoisseur and the garlic fries (not pictured) were and the regular ones perfectly crispy on the outside and still tender on the inside.
