The Bird longboard, a Wild Bill mid length, and a Fartknocker SBD short board/groveler. Former Pro surfer Jeff Kramer went above and beyond figuring out the right boards for me at my age, level of physical fitness, and surfing skill ability. And, Eric the store owner, Jacob "Jack of all trades " were also extremely helpful. Jacob even helped me customize and install surfboard carrier racks on my e-Bike. I wanted a soft top to get my toddler out on but that would also serve as a summer wave magnet. The 10' redline 11 soft top is perfect. I tried it out at shoulder high old man's and it rode like a regular board. Way more responsive than I would expect from a 10' log. Excited to get my daughter out on it this summer. Purchased a Stewart Redline 11 after trying the same model board my friend rented from Stewart. I'm a beginner/intermediate, but caught every wave I paddled for on the Redline 11. The board paddled so well and was incredibly stable and agile at the same time. Had to purchase one for myself. I was assisted by Jeff who has the air of someone who has forgotten more about surfing and surfboard design than most people will ever know. Very knowledgeable and able to explain technical concepts in simple layperson's terms which I appreciated. I purchased my 5'9 Pygmy from Stewart surfboards in the summer of 2022 and I wanted to share with you that it's the best board I've EVER ridden and it's now become my daily driver. I brought this board with me to the Maldives in April of 2023 to a break called Lohis. Lohis has a 100 yard plus left that consistently breaks that time of year in the 3' to 5' plus range. The Pygmy handled everything this wave had to offer and than some. A year later, I am now looking to add another board to my quiver and Stewart surfboards is the first and only place that comes to my mind. I'm looking forward to coming down there and seeing you guys again. Hopefully, Jacob is working that day he's always on his A game and is always stoked to talk about your boards and your new lineup. 32 years ago I first stepped into Stewart Surfboards to buy my first Hydro Hull surfboard. This was after I bought Bill's book on surfing full of many black and white photos back then and knew this is where I wanted to buy my next board. Since then I have been buying and surfing nothing but Stewart boards. During a recent session at the Huntington Beach Cliffs, my leash plug popped out of my Redline 11 and so after collecting my board on the beach I called Stewart Surfboards. I talked to Jacob who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me several great options with lots of details. He stayed on the phone to answer all of my questions and I never felt rushed. After thinking about it, I knew my surfboard would be in the best hands at Stewart so I decided to bring it in. I was greeted at the shop by Trey who again was very knowledgeable and welcoming. He explained to me in great detail about the repair process and exactly what they would do. Today I picked up the board and Wow!. Their work as expected is top notch. Perfectly done. I can't say enough about Stewart Surfboards. First and foremost I found the staff very welcoming, knowledgeable and patient as I could not make up my mind of whether I would pull the trigger on a Redline 11. I had been in San Diego for a week and stopped at several different shops on my way back to LA. Most of the shops ignored me. Some could barely answer my questions about their boards. I had read up about the Redline 11 and was so pleasantly surprised with the reception I got at Stewart: "Take your time, look around, I know it's tough to decide" it was a wonderful experience. I left with a new Redline and bought one a little wider (and epoxy!!) than I had originally thought based on the suggestion of the guy who was helping me. Here's the best part. The board absolutely rips! My mind was blown. I felt bad for the guys I was surfing with the first time I tried it because I was catching everything in sight. The Redline 11 is a super fun surfboard. Feels loose and stable... I don't know, it's just silly, I was sitting in the water just cracking up. Lefts, rights, late drops... I felt like I was in my 20's again (I'm 55) I was wondering if it was just a first time on a new board thing. But I've taken it out several times and it is a blast! I rented a longboard here. Amazing shop and service. I was on vacation and didn't bring my board. I had initially planned to rent at another shop in San Clemente but the owner was cussing out one of his surf instructors and fired him on the spot in front of me and the argument got so heated I thought they were going to get into a fist fight, so I left and went to Stewarts instead, the different in the vibe was so obvious. Everyone at Stewarts was happy. They listened to my crazy story from the other shop which is too gnarly and long to post here. They gave me a good board, tips on where to go, and the current conditions. I went to surf San O and then was almost on time but got stuck in traffic, but they are so good over there they stayed 15 minutes past close, to wait for me to drop my board off so I didn't have to drive up from Huntington again the next day. I have never seen such exceptional customer service, especially now in 2022. So I had to ask their names and let them know how amazing they did, and how nice it is to see that people still care these days. Thanks Alissa and Trey. Received my custom Redline 11 today. This is my 3rd Bill Stewart shape. I've surfed Stewart boards in 7.4, 7.6 and now this 9.0. After much success with their stock shapes/sizes, I decided to take the leap and get the 9.0 custom. Couldn't be happier! Update, next day... water was bumpy with some white caps, sizing around waist/chest. Not exactly ideal conditions, but I couldn't wait to take it into the water.
