My husband bought a ten foot soft top so he could tandem with our two year old. We bought it over the phone and picked it up the next day. The guys at the shop were super nice and let us go crazy putting stamps all over the board. They also gave us a great lunch spot recommendation since we drove from out of town. I've been wanting a Catch Surf board for a while...I saw that they were having a Black Friday sale and jumped at the chance. I purchased the board, an 8' Blank Series, on their website and got it for a great price. Between ordering it Wednesday and picking it up on Saturday, I decided I'd rather have the 7' version. Rich helped me out when I got to the Laguna Beach shop...swapped out the board no problem, and helped me customize my new deck with some Catch Surf mylar heat stamps (which are super cool)! I came with my best friend, who was unfamiliar with Catch Surf, and he was so impressed with the selection of soft tops at the store that he bought one on the spot, taking advantage of the Black Friday sale that lasts all weekend. He also put a custom heat stamp on his Odysea board, and was stoked! We went straight out to Huntington and broke them in, they rode great! There was also some cool apparel at the shop, didn't get much of a chance to peruse it as we were trying to grab a wave before sundown...next time. He helped me with my new setup and gave a lot of great tips since its my first time with an Odysea foam top. The complementary "Shaka" heat stamp came out nice Cool store, nice clothing. My boyfriend bought me a board from here recently and the 3 staff members working at the time (whose names I regrettably did not get!) were so patient and helpful during my 1 hour of being indecisive! Catch Surf has their own small, FREE parking lot! I have tried and enjoyed surfing an Odysea board which is what brought us to this store. The store is bright, neat and clean with apparel, beach / surfing accessories, as well as many different board sizes and designs to choose from! The staff also showed me what was stocked in the back which is what I ended up getting. I'd recommend coming in to this shop if you want to buy a board rather than buying online and paying the shipping fees! With every board purchase, you can customize your board with their stamps for FREE! They provide a pretty decent selection of stamps (Catch Surf logo, shaka, palm trees, cheetah print, checkered print, "surf or die") and colors (red, black, white, blue, purple, silver, gold and more)! Prior to stamping, you must sign a waiver to agree that you now cannot return the board. Apparently, they also do repairs here. Someone came in with some damage to their board which the staff assisted them with. Shopping at Catch Surf was fun and I love my new board! read more

This store is located off of PCH in North Laguna. I visited a couple of weekends ago and I purchased a 8 ft surfboard and leash at Catch Surf after looking online at board reviews from various blogs. As a new surfer, the Catch Surf employees were extremely helpful and friendly with explaining what'd be best for a new surfer and why. For reference, I had been to 2 other surf shops that day and decided to buy at Catch Surf since the employees were helpful and they had the color board I wanted from browsing online. Stopped by this Surf Shop while we were visiting Laguna. Always been a fan of the Catch Surf boards since it's so much fun surfing shorebreak waves in Hawaii. They have a variety of selection and practically all the beater boards you can find online in stock. Although I was tempted to purchase a board, it would be to difficult lugging it back home to Hawaii. The only disappointment is the style of clothing. The material for their shirts are very thin and typical to your Southern California wear. For how radical their surfboards are, the clothing style is totally different. T-shirt's and other goods are pretty expensive. So I ended up walking out with nothing. Staff was friendly and cool though. read more
