Came on a Saturday evening with a 7:15 reservation. I wanted to try everything but settled on the BBQ Grilled Cheese w/brisket and the collard greens. LEMME TELL YALL ABOUT THESE GREENS!!! New favorite spot! We were headed to a different place which was closed, so we ended up at Steve's bbq. It was a really busy night but they managed to squeeze us in. They did not skimp on BBQ beans, but I LOVED they're Collared Greens. Everything came out on plate, not those obnoxious metal trays. We left full and satisfied as the flavors and amounts were just right. (well, me being greedy I wanted just a bit more green and beef. But I'm a big boy ) The dining areas are a good size, the tables spaced so the no one trips over each other and folks can mind their own business easily. The decoration was simple but calming after a long day, so nice. The service folks are very nice folks and very attentive to the customer. The taco shrimp appetizers were bland and inedible - shrimp overcooked (tasted reheated), tortillas under heated, bland sauce & canned jalapeño as toppers. My husband was unimpressed with Caesar salad, which was mostly romaine stems. Potato skin appetizer was just ok, only took few bites. We spent $150 on two appetizers, Caesar salad, kids meal and 3 cocktails, with buyers remorse. The kitchen needs to work on food quality. When we arrived were told the wait would be 20 minutes and for us to stand outside and wait. There were several open tables I ask if we could possibly wait inside as I am a senior and standing outside may not be the best for me. I ask the manager if it would possible it was suggested we wait at the bar. As we toward a couple went around us a took the only two seats at the bar....when we finally got seated to eat we ordered a half rack of ribs to share it came with 2 sides. We had to ask for everything the cheese bread silverware. I would say the food was ok nothing I would drive back to get....the manager passed out high top table several times never stopped and ask if everything was better after having to ask to wait inside with him. From start to finish the experience was hands down AMAZING!! Josh is so easy to work with and literally offered everything under the sun. He is very organized and takes detailed notes. My husband and I were also very surprised to learn that they were able to offer more than just BBQ items for the menu. Everything at our tasting was delicious!! It was hard to pin down our choices but once we did we knew we had something for everyone. Our menu was as follows... Appetizers: Bruschetta, Hot Links & the most delicious Crab Cakes you've ever had!! Dinner: Baby Back Ribs, Chicken, Mac & Cheese (a total no brainer since it's our favorite), Collard Greens & dinner rolls. They also provided a BBQ style veggie option for a friend of ours.
