Our server was just simply the best. Friendly, funny, kind and showed so much hospitality. I felt really welcomed. I had my mind made up after reviewing the menu, however our server advised us of additional menu options that weren't listed. I enjoyed red fish w/ shrimp, crab garlic butter sauce, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The broccoli was just ok but the rest of the food? MARVELOUS! The red fish was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly and the garlic sauce was just an added bonus. The potatoes were the perfect companion. And I was full afterwards! It pains time to write this review. My last experience was awesome. This visit was NOT GOOD. Truly disappointed with mostly the whole experience. Was it a different cook??? The food was horrible and just BAD. Met up with a friend for happy hour. This is usually my favorite hour. SO...Let me start with the positives. The glass of wine and martini were great. The French Fries were hot and seasoned well, with a perfect crisp. Here is where it went bad. The BAR BITES were not great. The burger presentation looked amazing. Looks can be deceiving. The burger was so bland. Please use a little salt and pepper. We both agreed the burger had no flavor. Even with the cheese, onions and tomatoes it was just blah. Thank goodness the fries saved the day. It was just a dry burger and we wished it was a juicy burger. Also our waitress thought we wanted the Beef Crostinis. We told her we would try them another time. She brought them out so there was some confusion and miscommunication. She agreed to remove them from the bill. We tasted them and they were awful. The meat on the crostini's was cooked unevenly. These were actually too salty and we wished some of the seasoning would have been on the burger. Service was ok, better the last time. I left unhappy and not satisfied. It may be awhile before I visit. I'm going to call this an off day or fluke. The drinks and fries were the saving grace. read more

Love the ambience and friendly attentive service. They let you set the pace. We had the Caesar salad and thank goodness they do it right with actual anchovies, prime rib, and pecan crusted chicken. I had my birthday dinner here recently, and overall really enjoyed the experience. It was easy to make dinner reservations the day before and when we arrived it wasn't overly crowded, which is my kind of vibe. Our waiter was excellent. He was super friendly and easy to talk to. We enjoyed all our dishes, except for the creamed corn. We were surprised to taste a picante style corn, which we didn't care for, but it was still good for what it was. I said my favorite part of the meal was the dessert. They treated us to a free slice of cake, our choice, which we went with the chocolate cake. It was huge and yummy! We went for Valentine's Day and got their special menu that was $95 per person. One shared appetizer, option of soup or salad, entree, and dessert. The crab cake and chowder were great! The wedge salad was, well, a salad. The steaks could have been better, not much flavor. The sides with the steaks were alright. The cakes were not very good, a grocery store cake would have been preferable. The ambiance is beautiful, quite pleasant, minimal decor, low lighting. Service took a little long, but that's expected for a holiday. It was not very busy when we got there at 5pm though and the service was still a bit slow. I'm not sure I would come again. read more

First time at the new location and we will return! Even though it's more than 30 minutes away, it is worth it! Food is just about perfect. We went specifically for their special of scallops. Completely perfect. And while we missed the sweet potato puree from the old recipe, the polenta is a nice change. And we started with the always great lobster pizza. Had cup of corn crab chowder and it was perfect. Even their bread service is a step above. Service just flawless. Friendly and attentive. The dining room is beautiful. What it lacks in coziness it makes up in beauty. It was a tad loud the night especially as it got busier but we were fine. And we were surprised. Early in the evening we mentioned in passing with server it was our first time at new location and that we were here for the food and because it was our anniversary. Surprise! I booked this place for my husbands birthday dinner. I was trying to find a steak restaurant we had never been before and I found this place. The place is nice, service was decent, they have a nice sized menu. We had a party of 10. We ordered a few appetizers to share, the tuna, calamari and meatballs. The calamari was my favorite, but all were pretty good. For my entree I ordered the mushroom topped filet. It was cooked to my liking and overall taste was good. 03/01/26 - My wife and I met another couple at the restaurant for dinner. The Ambiance and Service was perfect, but the food was a tremendous disappointment! Our bill for the 2 of us was $201.00 plus a tip. We both ordered French Onion Soup. It was a generous bowl of brown gravy with onions, piece of bread and a slight amount of Swiss cheese. I would rate it a 3 out of 10. Gruyere Swiss cheese would have been much better than the Swiss the restaurant used. I would not order it again. I ordered 3 Stone Crab Legs. The presentation was a 10 out of 10, but the crab had very little taste like it had been frozen for several months. I would rate it 5 out of 10. I would not order Stone Crab Legs again at this restaurant. My wife ordered a 10 Oz. Prime Rib, and I ordered the 14 Oz. The size of each looked identical; mine cost $55; my wife's $47. Both were cooked medium rare. I do not think I have ever had Prime Rib this bad. It must have been a Select Minus rather than Prime. The meat was tough. I wife could not eat all of her portion and gave me most of it. Her portion was just as tough as mine, so I did not it. Needless to say this evening's meal was a total disaster! read more

A couple of close friends and I gathered for what will likely become an annual tradition to catch up, laugh, eat, and enjoy each other's company. We kicked off the evening in the bar area with pre-dinner drinks, and the bartender truly hit it out of the park. We requested a pomegranate martini with tequila, and it was absolutely delicious! We ended up sipping on these throughout the night. Once seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Noel, who was a total delight. He gave us a moment to peruse the menu and then brought out some warm, delicious focaccia bread. Noel also shared some "off-the-menu" items with us, and we ordered everything he recommended. As a nice touch, he also brought out warm towels, which felt incredibly thoughtful. The food was fantastic, and Noel's attentive service made the experience even better. I was really excited to try Steve Fields for restaurant week because the reviews were so great. We started with the lobster and shrimp dip from the regular menu. The dip itself was tasty but the crostinis looked and tasted like something you could get at Kroger. The table bread was miles better than those crostinis and the spicy olive oil was a unique touch. For our restaurant week appetizers we got the crab and corn chowder and the Caesar salad. The Caesar was standard, crab and corn chowder was creamy and sweet. Next we had our main course, filet and prime rib. Both were cooked well and flavorful. Finally we had the key lime pie which was okay and the chocolate cake which was dry. Service was slow throughout and I ended up drinking some of my partner's wine during dinner as the waiter never came around to ask if I wanted another drink. The cocktail I had was good, however the glassware was chipped. Our table bottle of water was empty for a long time as well. The standard menus were leather bound and the binding was flaking. It was fairly loud but we were in a corner so we were still able to hold a conversation. I did notice it was bright for a steakhouse, likely because of the older clientele. My friend and I met at Steve Fields at 5:00 and the bar was so loud, we asked if we could sit at a table so we could visit. Was graciously seated by the hostess and ordered a drink only to be told by managment (Mr. Fields himself) via our waiter that we could not stay unless we each ordered a full dinner. Our intention was to order a salad and split dinner which we shared with our waiter. The waiter went back to speak with management and again came back to say we must each order a full meal. I felt sorry for our waiter as you could tell he was very uncomfortable. The restaurant was completely empty other than 2 tables with other guests. It was 5:00 pm. We were refused, so we ended up paying for our drink and leaving. We asked to speak with Mr. Fields at the front desk and was met with such disrespect that I will never step foot into the place again. Mr. Fields told us to look around and that we were not his clientele and walked away from us. We are two successful professional women in our mid 60's that have entertained clients many times at the restaurant. We were dismissed in such a rude manner, that I would hope it was because Mr. Fields had something tragic going on his life. I cannot imagine someone in the service industry being so rude and disrespectful. Needless to say, I will never step foot through these doors again. My only complaint is that for $39 the prime rib was not the best. I've had better at Texas Roadhouse. The calamari was so good and is a must try! The filet was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. Finally a restaurant that knows how to cook a damn good steak. The service was excellent! It is a fancy place but not as fancy as we expected. No problem there. We were sat on a small side table which seemed out of place but I get it, there's only so much room. Food: we got the restaurant weeks shrimp, corn chowder, Caesar salad, rib eye medium rare, side of creamed corn, and carrot cake. Oh! We also got the calamari! Nom. I'd have to say I was really pleasantly surprised. I was scared I was going to be disappointed bc honestly, steak places aren't the same anymore. Quality has gone down or the steak never comes out correctly. The steak was cooked perfectly, and everything was seasoned well. Not too salty. The mashed potatoes did have a little TOO MUCH green onions and the candied nuts on the carrot cake was almost too sweet and was overbearing but other than that I still give it 5 stars bc DAMN that carrot cake was still good the next day!
