The lobster was juicy, and they brought out a side of butter for dipping. The steaks were cooked beautifully, and I loved the flavors of the mushroom-crusted filet! Overall, everything on the menu seems to be excellent. SERVICE: We had Jordan as our server, and she was excellent! It pains time to write this review. My last experience was awesome. This visit was NOT GOOD. Truly disappointed with mostly the whole experience. Was it a different cook??? The food was horrible and just BAD. Met up with a friend for happy hour. This is usually my favorite hour. SO...Let me start with the positives. The glass of wine and martini were great. The French Fries were hot and seasoned well, with a perfect crisp. Here is where it went bad. The BAR BITES were not great. The burger presentation looked amazing. Looks can be deceiving. The burger was so bland. Please use a little salt and pepper. We both agreed the burger had no flavor. Even with the cheese, onions and tomatoes it was just blah. Thank goodness the fries saved the day. It was just a dry burger and we wished it was a juicy burger. Also our waitress thought we wanted the Beef Crostinis. We told her we would try them another time. She brought them out so there was some confusion and miscommunication. She agreed to remove them from the bill. We tasted them and they were awful. The meat on the crostini's was cooked unevenly. These were actually too salty and we wished some of the seasoning would have been on the burger. Service was ok, better the last time. Visiting TX for a friend's birthday, she wanted to have dinner here as a steak lover. I'm glad she chose this restaurant. The ambiance is incredibly modern, clean and welcoming. Our server was just simply the best. Friendly, funny, kind and showed so much hospitality. I felt really welcomed. I had my mind made up after reviewing the menu, however our server advised us of additional menu options that weren't listed. I enjoyed red fish w/ shrimp, crab garlic butter sauce, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The broccoli was just ok but the rest of the food? MARVELOUS! I had my birthday dinner here recently, and overall really enjoyed the experience. It was easy to make dinner reservations the day before and when we arrived it wasn't overly crowded, which is my kind of vibe. Our waiter was excellent. He was super friendly and easy to talk to. We enjoyed all our dishes, except for the creamed corn. We were surprised to taste a picante style corn, which we didn't care for, but it was still good for what it was. I said my favorite part of the meal was the dessert. They treated us to a free slice of cake, our choice, which we went with the chocolate cake. It was huge and yummy! Don't know why no one else has touted the lounge at Steve Fields Steakhouse unless they want to keep it a secret! It is a lovely room with comfortable booths, plenty roomy for four adults, as well as multiple high-top tables and plenty of seating at the bar. The cocktail staff is always courteous and friendly, bringing your drink of choice very quickly. Steve Fields himself often comes in to greet guests, a nice welcoming gesture. Customers may choose food from a bar menu in addition to the dining room menu. There is live musical entertainment some evenings. What more could anyone want! read more

If I could give 100 stars I would without hesitation. My family and I took our 17 year old on a food tour around the DFW area for his birthday. Steve Fields was our final stop and the staff has made us forever fans. We sat in the lounge area where there was a gentleman playing the piano (my son loves live music) Everyone and I do mean every one was wonderful. Patrons stopped by our table to hug us and wish him Happy Birthday. We had two phenomenal waitresses taking care of us and I hope they know they really made our evening. The gentleman playing the piano played several of my son's requested songs and gave him special shout outs during our meal. The food was superb!!! I booked this place for my husbands birthday dinner. I was trying to find a steak restaurant we had never been before and I found this place. The place is nice, service was decent, they have a nice sized menu. We had a party of 10. We ordered a few appetizers to share, the tuna, calamari and meatballs. The calamari was my favorite, but all were pretty good. For my entree I ordered the mushroom topped filet. It was cooked to my liking and overall taste was good. First time at the new location and we will return! Even though it's more than 30 minutes away, it is worth it! Food is just about perfect. We went specifically for their special of scallops. Completely perfect. And while we missed the sweet potato puree from the old recipe, the polenta is a nice change. And we started with the always great lobster pizza. The wedge salad was, well, a salad. The steaks could have been better, not much flavor. The sides with the steaks were alright. The cakes were not very good, a grocery store cake would have been preferable. The ambiance is beautiful, quite pleasant, minimal decor, low lighting. 03/01/26 - My wife and I met another couple at the restaurant for dinner. The Ambiance and Service was perfect, but the food was a tremendous disappointment! Our bill for the 2 of us was $201.00 plus a tip. We both ordered French Onion Soup. It was a generous bowl of brown gravy with onions, piece of bread and a slight amount of Swiss cheese. I would rate it a 3 out of 10. Gruyere Swiss cheese would have been much better than the Swiss the restaurant used. I would not order it again. I ordered 3 Stone Crab Legs. The presentation was a 10 out of 10, but the crab had very little taste like it had been frozen for several months. I would rate it 5 out of 10. I would not order Stone Crab Legs again at this restaurant. My wife ordered a 10 Oz. Prime Rib, and I ordered the 14 Oz. The size of each looked identical; mine cost $55; my wife's $47. Both were cooked medium rare. I do not think I have ever had Prime Rib this bad. It must have been a Select Minus rather than Prime. The meat was tough. I wife could not eat all of her portion and gave me most of it. Her portion was just as tough as mine, so I did not it. Needless to say this evening's meal was a total disaster! read more

A couple of close friends and I gathered for what will likely become an annual tradition to catch up, laugh, eat, and enjoy each other's company. We kicked off the evening in the bar area with pre-dinner drinks, and the bartender truly hit it out of the park. We requested a pomegranate martini with tequila, and it was absolutely delicious! We ended up sipping on these throughout the night. Once seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Noel, who was a total delight. He gave us a moment to peruse the menu and then brought out some warm, delicious focaccia bread. Noel also shared some "off-the-menu" items with us, and we ordered everything he recommended. As a nice touch, he also brought out warm towels, which felt incredibly thoughtful. The food was fantastic, and Noel's attentive service made the experience even better. I was really excited to try Steve Fields for restaurant week because the reviews were so great. We started with the lobster and shrimp dip from the regular menu. The dip itself was tasty but the crostinis looked and tasted like something you could get at Kroger. The table bread was miles better than those crostinis and the spicy olive oil was a unique touch. For our restaurant week appetizers we got the crab and corn chowder and the Caesar salad. The Caesar was standard, crab and corn chowder was creamy and sweet. Next we had our main course, filet and prime rib. Both were cooked well and flavorful. Finally we had the key lime pie which was okay and the chocolate cake which was dry. Service was slow throughout and I ended up drinking some of my partner's wine during dinner as the waiter never came around to ask if I wanted another drink. The cocktail I had was good, however the glassware was chipped. Our table bottle of water was empty for a long time as well. The standard menus were leather bound and the binding was flaking. It was fairly loud but we were in a corner so we were still able to hold a conversation. I did notice it was bright for a steakhouse, likely because of the older clientele. My friend and I met at Steve Fields at 5:00 and the bar was so loud, we asked if we could sit at a table so we could visit. Was graciously seated by the hostess and ordered a drink only to be told by managment (Mr. Fields himself) via our waiter that we could not stay unless we each ordered a full dinner. Our intention was to order a salad and split dinner which we shared with our waiter. The waiter went back to speak with management and again came back to say we must each order a full meal. I felt sorry for our waiter as you could tell he was very uncomfortable. The restaurant was completely empty other than 2 tables with other guests. It was 5:00 pm. We were refused, so we ended up paying for our drink and leaving. We asked to speak with Mr. Fields at the front desk and was met with such disrespect that I will never step foot into the place again. Mr. Fields told us to look around and that we were not his clientele and walked away from us. We are two successful professional women in our mid 60's that have entertained clients many times at the restaurant. We were dismissed in such a rude manner, that I would hope it was because Mr. Fields had something tragic going on his life. I cannot imagine someone in the service industry being so rude and disrespectful. Needless to say, I will never step foot through these doors again. It was so dark and loud in the dining room that it took some time for our eyes to adjust to read the menu. Our server was running around and made for a high-strung dinner experience.
