where can I begin to explain my love and appreciation for the Fellas down here at stereo zone. first of all I would like to thank them for having patience with me and helping out like no other. I've been dealing with my interlock device threw intoxalock and these gentlem have been nothing but helpful. I truly can't express how above and beyond these guys went to help me out. ever since I walked threw these doors these guys made me feel welcomed and apart of the team. I've spent hours here just shooting the shit with these guys. if you happen to be in the whittier area bring your ass down here and get your stereo installed properly by some of the most professional in car stereos. if you didn't get your stereo installed here chances are they ain't do a good job. so come on down to STEREO ZONE and get them bumps in the trunk here. if you ain't have that back up camera yet don't matter what year and model of your car guarantee these guys could install it. thank you for taking care of me and getting me back on the road. i truly appreciate you guys more then you know it. -Karloz read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I took my 09 Dodge Avenger here for a stereo upgrade as well as for a new car alarm. I advised them the car had a factory alarm but didn't have the key for it since that's how the car was given to my wife, I asked if it was possible to remove or do something about the factory alarm and install a new one they say yes no problem. Down the line I started having issues with the alarm it first started when the alarm wouldn't turn off, then it seemed like both alarms factory and aftermarket where going off which was odd. I didn't think to much at first then I started having issues with my car honk my car was just honking on its own for no reason. Note that sometimes my car would do it and sometimes not so I decided to take the car back to see if they could help me with the issue I was stunned when they told they couldn't help me due to my car not doing what I explained to them in the spot. So they brushed me away they wouldn't even check it out because they had nothing to check out since my car seemed fine. So I left, I got tired of the honking so I eventually disconnected it everything seemed fine for a bit until I kept getting stranded in the freeway on the way to work my car would just turn off on it's own and would have to wait for a while until it started again after trying to turn it on many times. There was a time where I had to get towed as well, I knew it was a wiring issue the car was fine never gave me issues until I took it here eventually I couldn't get anywhere with these morons they wouldn't help to check the wiring or anything all they kept telling me IF THE CAR IS NOT DOING IT HERE THEN WE CANT HELP YOU. This all happen in only a couple of months after the installation was done. I don't recommend this place they just do cheap work and bad wiring they use a shit load of electrical tape as well so much for professionalism work, I ended up trading in a good working car that was fine at first for a new one since the dealer was charging me a lot of money to fix the car.........I want to see what excuse they're going to reply here about my experience read more

I needed a high quality siren alarm system installed in my car but was surprised to get my car back with a PRIMITIVE horn alarm and the CHEAPEST alarm remotes you can imagine! These employees are UNPROFESSIONAL car alarm installers who did not take a few minutes to explain the different options and help me select an alarm system and features for my vehicle and my situation. When I told them I was DISSATISFIED with the horn sound as my alarm, and that I was expecting at least the more modern siren alarm, this triggered the employees' anger, and two of the males were especially UPSET and were very CONDESCENDING towards me. The employee who had worked on my car got DEFENSIVE and started YELLING at me, that I should've asked more questions when I first brought the car, that it was my fault, not his. I NEVER blamed him and spoke calmly the entire time I was there. He YELLED to bring the car some days later to install the siren alarm for an ADDITIONAL COST, increasing my cost to several hundred dollars. He left a post-it note on my dashboard, using the following FOUL LANGUAGE: F---Y--, you piece of sh---! NEVER EVER would I take my car there again, having been so DISRESPECTED. They obviously need ANGER MANAGEMENT, more KNOWLEDGE on their different services so they can offer choices and explain them better to customers who may or may not know all their options, and CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING to IMPROVE and learn how to treat customers respectfully. read more

I walked into this place with no knowledge about stereos. Sammy had great customer service. He answered all my questions, and gave me a good deal on new speakers for my Mercedes. This a nice places for those who do there own work on car alarm or radios, buying wiring harness or dash kits this is the place to go. But installion of car alarms or radio is kinda pricey here. I had a radio installed and a basic car alarm and it was upwards of $700. read more

I don't even wanna give this place 1 this place is horrible ! I purchased hid lights, viper tint, amp and a 12" sub/box. They did a horrible job on the tint it had bubbles on every window and put a 10" sub instead of 12" when I took it back Paul the tint guy said he re-tinted the windows with a thinner tint that goes in easier which isn't the same price as the viper tint I purchased and then because I didn't have my actual receipt on me they said that they couldn't go by my contract that was emailed to me of what I purchased with showed 12" sub because they could have made a mistake and put 12" when really I could have paid for 10" I was furious because it was only a couple days after my purchase and knew they remembered what I bought then a young guy that works there was honest enough to pull the copy of my receipt from their records they keep and showed 12". A couple months later I got in an accident and got a new car that I'm not gonna fix up the only thing I needed was one window tinted so I went there cause they were actually the cheapest for just one window , didn't think anything would be wrong with just one window till after the fact that I said I just want the shade lighter than limo tint because I want it to match the others...they bring my car around I check for the bubbles and I get in the car look at it from the inside and thinking its too dark so I get out and go look again then here comes Paul the tint guy with a smile on his face and I tell him why's it darker he then asks for my number cause he likes me and wants to redo my windows for me when he has the tint so they all match limo like my first car cause he feels bad about the situation with my first car I took there...then he says he'll do it for $150.!!! I can't say how happy I am with the results of the requests I made for my vehicle at Stereo Zone. I requested 3 things: new car stereo, backup camera, and tint. They gave me a great deal for all plus helped me fixed a dash light behind my AC screen without charging me! They installed the Myron&Davis K17; backup camera was compatible with that brand. It also has bluetooth where I can be hands free when talking on my phone. I never had this feature so I'm quite happy with that extra with that car stereo. Due to my back trunk window sliding up and down, it was a better option to install the backup camera on my bumper (my bumper is metal!). My car already has factory tint so they placed a 20% tint on top of it and it's perfect where there's enough privacy but still visible from inside out! It took 2 days as tint had to scheduled. It was well worth it. The view of the car stereo from backup camera is clear! I brought my laptop and worked in their little guest waiting room; it has a flat screen TV. They were professional and friendly and did their best in accommodating my requests. I strongly recommend them for any car accessory work! Thank you so much! read more

These guys are hacks and Sammi still hasn't kept his word on fixing my truck. I have water leaking into the cab where his installer removed my factory engine harness grommet and seal to run power wires pinching them against the firewall with no protection. His alarm installer back fed 12 volts to my ecu on the bcm side and fried it. I had to pay to have that fixed out if pocket. I also had to pay to have my wire harness repaired after their installer left exposed wires and didn't even try and tape them up. I paid $2400 to stereo zone and I would like them to reimburse me for the repairs I had to pay for due to their installers mistakes. Check out the pictures of their work. Sammi refuses to refund the labor charges. He asked me to bring in the tech who fixed my Truck ecu, harness, and installed the correct alarm I paid for so his installer can argue his reasons for a shitty job. I am filling paperwork with D.E.I. The suppliers of viper. Thea guys don't deserve to be authorized dealers for viper. I have 6 kids and this is their transportation to and from school and to go see their mother. I paid out of pocket to get my vehicle back on the road ASAP. Sammi claimed he was going to make it right and hasn't done anything to do so. They still haven't fixed the water leak they caused. Let alone re route any of the power wires that are chafing on the firewall. Sammi all I have asked is you make things right. read more

Worse place to go to. I had to go back twice for this so called professional business to put in a amp and other equipment I bought from them. Their installation was all wrong first time after my bass kept cutting out. I was nice enough to still do business with these rude ppl and still buy more equipment for vehicle. after all installation was done I realized my battery was dying. My car is a new Chrysler 300c which is no excuse for battery issue and after buying a new battery. I took it to a high class professional stereo business with best rating. They were loyal to me and said I was over charged and all installation was wrong for the reason my battery voltage is low. If anything, these people are unprofessional and a waste of time. They don't see what they did wrong to my car. If anything I say JT is a total ass. After saying I wasted his time. No customer service skills at all. And he never told me my battery would die. I'm a retired senior and don't know anything about stereos. I rely on the vendor for advice. I explained to "TJ" that all I wanted was a good sound with decent speakers. That's all! $820 later I received a mediocre system that sounded horrible. I returned twice to make it right. The second time. I dealt with different salespeople who wanted to charge me another $100 dollars for a better receiver. I said no, I'll go somewhere else and take the loss. He argued with me and finally said he'd take the loss. I don't know what they finally installed as I was directed to the waiting area. I went to stereo zone right at the beginning of March. I got a complete system upgrade, 2 front and back speakers, an amp and subwoofer. I don't know much about stereos, and this was my first time buying a stereo system. Sammy was SUPER helpful. He sat in my car and listened to what I wanted. He then showed me a setup that would work in my car. Now here is the important part. He treated me and my car as if we were important. He made sure I felt as if this was his car and he was hooking up HIS car. Every step of the way, he made sure that I knew my car was in good hands. He could of charged me double and I would of paid that because of the service I received. After it was installed and I drove around for a week, I went back to get my system adjusted, he made sure to listen to everything I said and got what I wanted they way I wanted it. I had a bass box installed in my vehicle I had noticed a dent in my rear quarter panel once I open my truck I found a base box in the quarter panel causing the dent also the power wire that Powers my amplifier instead of having a proper connector was just cut at the end and sandwiched between The factory positive and the battery once I showed them the damage his excuse was that they do not secure base boxes he was unwilling to fix the damage that his poor workmanship had done to my vehicle read more

I came in over a year ago with the intention of getting an estimate for new radio and speaker. It's close to my house so I figured I could come by if anything went wrong. Well! A lot went wrong. I ended up agreeing to get new speakers, new radio system with Bluetooth (which is what I really wanted), a mic for calls, and two TVs for my headrests. FOR $800. At the time, It all looked good, it seemed legit, they were thorough and explained it all and I could also get it on credit which really helped. They started immediately, I put down a deposit and sat for almost 3 hours. When they finished, I went home. The next day, two windows didn't roll down, the mic didn't work, and my hazard button wasn't functioning. So I went back. They helped get every thing figured out and he even replaced the hazard button because he hadn't checked if it worked before so he didn't know if his guys f-ed it up. I know it wasn't me because I used it everyday when I dropped off mail at the blue box for work. Well, I tried to just get my old stuff in and get my money back, but they said no. So I was there every day for a week getting every thing fixed. I paid it off within the time frame and the credit company was way nicer than the sales guys. Never again. read more

WARNING! DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR VEHICLES. I'm only going to give this business one star due to the fact I'm unable to give negatives. I used to use them quite often and I know a lot of my friends did too. I basically took all of my cars there at one point. I didn't purchase the cheap stuff either. I wanted better quality. I started noticing things I had purchased there would break/not work corectly. I took would take it back to have them look at it. I would of course get charged again some type of fee. Anyways it started happening more and more. The worst experience I've had with them is that they told me the things I purchased were brand new. They were not! They lied and they were refurbished. Also the wiring that was installed they basically "bandged everything together". I asked them to install a touch screen one time along with other things. They did it. However I noticed the fm radio didn't work. Their response was " well I'm sorry about that that's the best we can do. No body uses the radio now anyways its all about !pods and sirus xm". My fm radio had worked perfectly fine before. I consulted with 3 other places to see if they could fix the damage each one said they could and informed me it was refurbished. However I didn't trust anyone touching my brand new car anymore. Finally I went to sound scape in Downey and they took a look at everything and laughed. Of course I was like what's funny. They explained to me that the wires they used were the cheaper ones and confirmed with me that EVERYTHING I purchased from them was in fact refurbished. Not new as I paid for. Sound Scape was very friendly and fixed ever thing to make it sound perfect. They gave me an extreamly great price after I told them what I had already paid to Stereo zone. I will NEVER go to stereo zone again. They were unwilling to rectify the situation. I over paid them. I was cheated. Lied to numerous times. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They have no clue what they are doing or they simply don't care about their customers. Don't purchase rims from them as I did instead go straight to Salinas tires. Salinas is great. If your going to still use stereo zone make sure you do your research first and check out other places. Don't Just Trust them like I did. I received low grade stuff at marked up prices. There's basically not enough room to write how bad of an experience I've had with them. I feel like an idiot for using them and just want to warn everyone else. Your car will leave in worse condition than you brought it. Thus causing you more money, headheaches and stress. But you live and learn... Right? read more
