WARNING! DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR VEHICLES. I'm only going to give this business one star due to the fact I'm unable to give negatives. I used to use them quite often and I know a lot of my friends did too. I basically took all of my cars there at one point. I didn't purchase the cheap stuff either. I wanted better quality. I started noticing things I had purchased there would break/not work corectly. I took would take it back to have them look at it. I would of course get charged again some type of fee. Anyways it started happening more and more. The worst experience I've had with them is that they told me the things I purchased were brand new. They were not! They lied and they were refurbished. Also the wiring that was installed they basically "bandged everything together". I asked them to install a touch screen one time along with other things. They did it. However I noticed the fm radio didn't work. Their response was " well I'm sorry about that that's the best we can do. No body uses the radio now anyways its all about !pods and sirus xm". My fm radio had worked perfectly fine before. I consulted with 3 other places to see if they could fix the damage each one said they could and informed me it was refurbished. However I didn't trust anyone touching my brand new car anymore. Finally I went to sound scape in Downey and they took a look at everything and laughed. Of course I was like what's funny. They explained to me that the wires they used were the cheaper ones and confirmed with me that EVERYTHING I purchased from them was in fact refurbished. Not new as I paid for. Sound Scape was very friendly and fixed ever thing to make it sound perfect. They gave me an extreamly great price after I told them what I had already paid to Stereo zone. I will NEVER go to stereo zone again. They were unwilling to rectify the situation. I over paid them. I was cheated. Lied to numerous times. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They have no clue what they are doing or they simply don't care about their customers. Don't purchase rims from them as I did instead go straight to Salinas tires. Salinas is great. If your going to still use stereo zone make sure you do your research first and check out other places. Don't Just Trust them like I did. I received low grade stuff at marked up prices. There's basically not enough room to write how bad of an experience I've had with them. I feel like an idiot for using them and just want to warn everyone else. Your car will leave in worse condition than you brought it. Thus causing you more money, headheaches and stress. But you live and learn... Right? read more

Instead of checking the truck to make sure they were able to install it they didnt, so now im stuck with having to hear how their doing me a favor by "looking" for the correct wires to properly install it. I've been to this place twice, once to get a stereo installed, and the second time for an alarm installation. Both on two separate occasions, I checked out the stereos and the price seemed right, but the amount of time it took was ridiculously long. The person who was working on my car kept getting side-tracked and working on another task. I was disappointed at the customer service, some employees seemed careless about any concerns or issues. All in all, it took about 2 hours for me to be on my way. Second visit, I installed a new alarm system since I had a special offer (via their online page) this time I came in open minded, with hopes that the employees were more hospitable. Not surprisingly, the person at the front desk didn't acknowledge that I was in the shop, instead he was eating lunch at the desk. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and got the alarm system installed anyways, two weeks later it was starting to lag (the alarm wasn't functioning properly.) I went back and the same guy at the front desk asked if I had the receipt. When I showed it to him, he seemed upset at the fact that I was having concerns, he called another person from the back room to "fix it." Anyways this is the last time I come here. I suggest you save your money and go somewhere more professional. read more

These guys are super nice guys and their work is pretty solid. They did tint on my Porsche 944 and were totally honest that the edges may not be 100% just because of the way the glass is shaped. They got it about 90% which is fine for a 20 yr old car. Fair prices, good service. They did have a small issue getting the hatch brake light to stay on but they were totally receptive and cool with me coming back in to get them to fix it. I'm sure there are cheaper places in Whittier but I have a feeling these guys stand behind what they sell! read more

I came in purchased a 5 Chan alpine amp and a sub plus installation into my already existing system (stock touch screen and alpine type R's all the way around) ........ after they touched my car every time my head lights would come in there was electrical interference annoying as heck. Brought it back to have it "fixed" I pick it up after it had been sitting there ALL DAY with a call from the owner saying it's all good I checked it myself... get there test out my system and long behold all of my tones from the car are gone including the turn signal and my rear collision alert tones... all gone.. zip zilch nada.. car was in the shop TWO full working days and in the end they said it wasn't their fault, refused to take their stuff back then blamed it on the fact that it was a "newer car" and that it had too much technology. ... .. .... if you have a car from the 90 sure, take it here otherwise save yourself the headache and long wait times and find yourself a more qualified shop that cares about quality and owning up to their work. Crappy service, got a new set of speakers and a new radio antenna and I could picture a More half ass job than what was received. The dash was NOT reattached properly, the antenna's reception sucked, let alone in a terrible position and left to dangle freely on the dashboard. Then technician "Eric" who had advised, "this type dashboard is difficult to work with." But if this is so(which it does seem rather complicated to my in trained eye) I thought this gentleman who was working on my car was qualified to work on the vehicle since he does have a job working on all sorts of vehicle makes and models. I wish I had knows how terrible the work conducted was to be, since the transaction process was also suspiciously tedious. Please save your self the trouble and get your work elsewhere. Background: Bought a stereo + kit for my car from Crutchfield but ended up being more work than I anticipated so decided to look for a place to install it. So I called this place and they quoted me a $60 for install. Getting there they doubled the quote since it required more work than they anticipated so TIP #1:If you're going to request an over the phone quote, you have to be very specific about the equipment you have for them to install. It was a fair misunderstanding so remember to be very CLEAR. TIP #2: Don't rush the job, I did a walk-in 1hr 30min before they closed and they rushed the job. They ended up not bypassing the amp. when they should have. And I had to show up a different day to complete the install. This is no good for both parties. At least he didn't try to push a cost but still required about another 1 hr of my time. TIP #3: JT said the voucher on this yelp ($95 for $125 worth of work) page is only valid if you buy the product from them (I bought mine from Crutchfield). The terms don't mention that, it only mentions services. Perhaps they should update their terms to be more clear. Besides that, there were no other issues. The stereo appears to be working fine. An apology from the owner would have been nice but there was none. read more
