I LOVE Stella Nova! It is the perfect use for that location (which had changed businesses several times beforehand). I mainly use the drive thru, but have also worked inside a couple times. They have plenty of space, with several types of settings for lounging, working, big groups, small groups, window seating. Very clean and good WiFi. One of its most memorable qualities is the friendliness of the staff. Every time I go in the drive thru, the staff are pleasant, asking questions about my day while they prep my drinks. It really does make a difference. As for the menu, Stella Nova has a wide variety and is very reasonably priced! A large is pretty large, I think 20 oz. They are good about adding seasonal favorites, as well. I like that their food options are also good quality and not over-priced. You can get good bakery items generally for $2-3 and breakfast sandwiches/wraps for $3-5. It's definitely my go-to local spot in Norman! Wish they had loyalty cards! read more

Since posting my original review, they got mugs for those drinking in-house. So that's a plus! Original review: Coffee was okay. They were out of chai when I was there. I ordered a latte and asked for no lid (to save plastic) because I was going to be drinking it there (seeing how they don't have cups and saucers for those staying in-house), they even wrote "No lid" on the cup but it was still given to me with a lid. They don't even have recycling - don't they know it's 2018? It has a nice atmosphere and lots of seating which is nice. But it would be even nicer if they didn't use single-use cups for those drinking in-house. Giving mugs would make it feel nicer. read more

It is a giant glass building - great for the times of day where the sun is not bearing down. The building gets really warm and you will constantly have to adjust so you don't have awful glare in your eyes. Is a great space to meet and chat, if you can find parking. But to get any work done, go anywhere else. Limited power outlets and the sun constantly in your eyes don't a great study or work space make. As for the coffee, the coffee is good, and the staff are very nice. The drive thru folks are friendly. I recommend for grabbing a coffee to go over the other West Main options (Starbucks/Panera), but not a great place to stick around. read more

Got a simple latte here for our first go. It's an average drink. Maybe using a really dark bean for their espresso? Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible. The food tastes store bought. Definitely not a fan of the lemon bread or the chocolate chip cookie. My bread was "warmed up" and cold in the middle. Where they really shine is customer service. I've been here about a handful of times and sometimes its been okay and sometimes it not. It's usually really busy and there typically isn't a place to sit, but also their floorplan is set up a little odd by the means that it's an open floor plan with rows of desks one by one. Seems a little intimidating to walk in there if you ask me. Also if you want to go there anytime before noon the sun is right in your eyes and glaring on your screen if you're there to study. Second, their coffee has never been good to me. I've tried something new every time and it still just doesn't have a great taste to their coffee. It always seems like their coffee is watered down or lacks flavor. When there is flavor it's awfully bitter and lacks the enjoyment of coffee itself. I already don't like Starbucks brews but I really wish this place would have made some more improvements to theirs. Third, I asked the person if they had cold foam about three times, and after telling me they did, I ordered a drink with cold foam. I didn't receive a drink with cold foam, so I went through the drive-thru and asked for a drink with the foam just to be told they don't have cold foam. Was really a big waste of 10 minutes. I think I've given this place enough tries but just after trying so many things here and never getting anything worth trying again, I think this place is a no from me. read more

This is the kind of coffee shop I wish I could bring back home with me to Florida: it'll only take one time walking in to get the good coffee shop vibes. I love the trendy decoration; if I had more time, I would have loved to stay and do some reading here. Been there 7 times. And several of my friends and co workers have as well and we all unanimously agreed the coffee here is not good. Just black coffee was weak and tasted as if it was mixed with something. Also the mocha was like drinking water. I'm not into supper dark roast coffee but the flavor was just not good. Never consistent with their drinks. Cold brew was bitter and tasted like old hot coffee. Vanilla latte was over sweet and probably would have been better off just drinking the syrup bottle. I am all about Stella Nova. I am a drive thru customer and they are the friendliest workers ever. My drinks are always tasty and never have had a bad experience. Down side is the breakfast food items I have gotten have a cheap fast food quality but it is a coffee place not a restaurant. Also the prices are so so. I mean it's not cheap but I have tried many coffee places that are more expensive for smaller drinks with an "eh" tasting coffee. read more

The coffee desert that is Norman has been changed. Terraformed by the grace of The Almighty. The heavens opened up and turned a dumpy little convenience store into a field of love and grace. Stella Nova. Offerings in Norman so far have been on the hipster or corporate side. This is a stunning change of pace. Intimate, yet open. Inviting, and warm but with a modern feel and a little weird. Kind of like Aubrey Plaza. I was staring at the menu, and the poor young folk who work there who have been forced to wear terrible Coldplay-esque knit caps, took pity and asked if I was looking for something specific. I asked if they did a pour-over, which was not on the menu and they excitedly proclaimed, "YES!" It took a while, as all things of worth do, but it was wonderful. A damn fine cup of coffee. In my top 5. Not kidding. Also, very reasonably priced. If I could be, and it has been remarked upon occasion that it is possible, that I could be as giddy as a school girl in springtime, then it would be so. The pourover was wonderful. Deep, rich, and comforting. Like having Morgan Freeman read you the telephone book. Thank you Stella Nova. You also brought another favorite, Roxy's Ice Cream Social treats in individual sized cups of love. Once, like Sisyphus, I was chained to hell. Now I am freed by the power of Stella Nova.
