We came here to eat after visiting the CN Tower. We missed the main entrance to the restaurant but quickly found it. We had reservations and were seated quickly. All things Canadian must mean good beer and poutine. Wonderful gravy, not too salty and full of flavor. The cheese curds of course are a byproduct of cheese making that serves the dish so well. Too often overly salty gravy or cheese overwhelms the dish but not here. Literally the best I've ever had. Cleaned the bowl completely. The other dish we had was chicken legs and cassava. We came here due to a recommendation from local. It was a nice and cute place. For a pub/bar foods, they were pretty decent. I got fish and chips. The fish were fried perfectly. The breading were crispy, not oily and thin. However, the fish smelled. I think it was Alaskan cod and I never like Alaskan cod because never have a good one and they always smell. The chips were good. Since we were in Canada, I had to get poutine. I don't know I think I'm a bit bias since I lived in Wisconsin for 3 years. I like fried cheese curds better than non-fried cheese curds. The gravy could use a bit salt in the poutine. My boyfriend opted out for a burger and he was very happy with it. One thing I've to shout out about them. It's their Cole slaw. It was so good. The dills in it made the dish so refreshing and tasty. I had the Arctic Char with Tabbouleh, with a side of Seared Asparagus with Romesco Sauce. I liked how the asparagus was still somewhat crisp and not overcooked. The inside is cute and has a nice atmosphere and it is in a cute train district area. Very close to the venue which was perfect. The menu had some vegan and vegetarian options which was nice. The coleslaw was seasoned with dill and cut shoestring style. It was tasty. I do not like sweet coleslaw do I was happy. The service was pretty slow as it took over an hour and there was nobody left when we finished, our waitress seemed like she couldn't care less. Had a fun experience coming here in full cosplay during Fan Expo 2022! Was coming from the Metro Toronto Convention Center just across the street during the lunch hour, understandably, there was a lineup, being as there was a Jay's game, a concert AND Fan Expo all happening in the same area. The moment we got in, the service staff was a delight and shared a couple good laughs from my husband and I being in full cosplay. The interior is spacey, well lit and clean and great for groups since it's a 'picnic table' kind of seating. Hubby and I both got beer, sausages and a pretzel to share. Of course being a brewery, the beer was absolutely delicious, especially on a sweltering hot August day. The pretzel was so, so good. That soft yeasty, doughy, salty goodness, super fresh too. The only thing I wasn't tooooo huge on, was the bratwurst itself. BUT, I'm really not much of a pork eater and it just tasted 'too porky' for me. What a gem. Came here a decade ago and couldn't wait to go back. Went 5x in 12 days. Took a coworker, took the wife, took the staff for dinner, took myself. Great beer and great food. The biergarten was a new addition for me, having only had the other side previously. Inside staff were terrific, outside eh.
