    Brewing equipment just inside

All things Canadian must mean good beer and poutine. Wonderful gravy, not too salty and full of flavor. The cheese curds of course are a byproduct of cheese making that serves the dish so well. Too often overly salty gravy or cheese overwhelms the dish but not here. Literally the best I've ever had. Cleaned the bowl completely. The other dish we had was chicken legs and cassava. Tender moist chicken and fried cassava was fabulous. Inside or outside seating with views of the brewing equipment and chefs working. Our server was both helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Loved this place! Probably the best veggie burger I had on our entire trip. Best cider too! Friendly service and nice ambiance! Loved the train museum outside and the history of the building

    Massive beers, pretzel and dip

This place was surprisingly busy but they were able to accommodate us at a small table. The server was rushed but nice. Massive beer steins and the food wasn't bad, especially this roasted red pepper dip I tried.

We stopped here on a Wednesday afternoon and were quickly seated with a party of seven. Our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. My daughter ordered the mac n cheese, my hubby ordered the burger, and I ordered the pork tacos. I also ordered the Juiced AF hazy IPA. Everything was really good. I would definitely come eat here again. My only complaint was the length of time it took for our food and then to pay after. I ended up going to the bar to ask if we could pay so we could get moving with our day.

Good food and atmosphere. I ordered the back bacon sandwich and it was delicious. I sat at the bar because it was busy and before a Blue Jays game and I was by myself. The staff was really friendly. I'll be back with some friends next time.

    Poutin

We came here to eat after visiting the CN Tower. We missed the main entrance to the restaurant but quickly found it. We had reservations and were seated quickly. Totally love the vibe and I'm sure it's a fun place to eat and drink before or after the ball game. We had the Smash burger and Autumn salad which were tasty. My hubby and I split both meals. My daughter had the fish and chips which were also good. I had to try the poutin and it was good! It was my first time trying poutin so to me, this was tasty. Definitely recommend this spot

    Poutine

We came here due to a recommendation from local. It was a nice and cute place. For a pub/bar foods, they were pretty decent. I got fish and chips. The fish were fried perfectly. The breading were crispy, not oily and thin. However, the fish smelled. I think it was Alaskan cod and I never like Alaskan cod because never have a good one and they always smell. The chips were good. Since we were in Canada, I had to get poutine. I don't know I think I'm a bit bias since I lived in Wisconsin for 3 years. I like fried cheese curds better than non-fried cheese curds. The gravy could use a bit salt in the poutine. My boyfriend opted out for a burger and he was very happy with it. One thing I've to shout out about them. It's their Cole slaw. It was so good. The dills in it made the dish so refreshing and tasty. We would happy to come back here again to enjoy some beers and bar foods.

    Patio in the summer

Steam Whistle Kitchen is the restaurant counterpart of Steam Whistle Brewing. This is separate from the Tap Room, which focuses mainly on the drinks. The menu is eclectic, drawing inspirations from different parts of the globe (offering items such as shakshouka, tabbouleh, and plant-based banh mi). Food is pretty good, with something for everyone. I had the Arctic Char with Tabbouleh, with a side of Seared Asparagus with Romesco Sauce. I liked how the asparagus was still somewhat crisp and not overcooked. Service is great - friendly, fast, and efficient. They have a nice patio that's open in the summer, overlooking Roundhouse Park, Toronto Railyway Museum, and CN Tower. The location makes it ideal, as it's very close to all the major tourist hotspots (CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, Rogers Centre) and the financial district.

After a trip to the Aquarium, we wanted to get a quick bite. This was right across the street. Kinda and quick service. Cauliflower salad was just right.

We looked up restaurants near the CN Tower to go for lunch during a LONG layover in Toronto. I read the Yelp reviews and we decided to give it a try. Fish and chips at a beer place has to be tasty, right? Yes! So crispy and did you see the size of the fish!!! We thought it was an entire haddock! Fries were crispy and hot. The coleslaw was seasoned with dill and cut shoestring style. It was tasty. I do not like sweet coleslaw do I was happy. Everything was reasonably priced, our server was pleasant and we enjoyed the break. Yes, you should go and a bonus you get a little train history outside of the building too.

OG pretzel (C$10) soft & chewy
    Joe P.

We arrived at the CN Tower tour a little early, and we had some time to kill. We wanted to grab a snack and a beer after an unsatisfying sandwich at Elm Street Deli. Steam Whistle was across the street, had good reviews, and looked inviting with its outdoor seating. We had a pretzel and some beer. The pretzel was very good. It was moist & chewy, and went well w/ the dipping sauces. Likewise, the beer was refreshing and cool on a hot summer day. Regarding the ambiance, there is indoor & outdoor seating. This is a large place. Our waitress was really nice & friendly, like most people in Canada. If you are looking for a place before & after a tour at CN Tower, Steam Whistle is the perfect place. I believe Rogers Centre where the Blue Jays play is also nearby, so its a good place before a ball game also.

    Fish and Chips

Thought this would be a cool place to stop in for lunch. Decided to get the fish and chips. The fish was fried perfectly and it was flavorful. The slaw and fries were good as well.

    Pineapple Shandy and a Pilsner
    Rachel M.

Went here after work on a Thursday and it was a fun place to enjoy some drinks and appetizers for a couple hours. The pineapple shandy was sweet and refreshing and hit the spot after a long work week already. The appetizers were all good, though nothing was truly groundbreaking. Then again, it's a brewery so I didn't expect to find the greatest food dish ever. That said, they had just rolled out the summer menu and they had some awesome sounding options, though we avoided a lot of what was recommended since we had someone in our party that didn't eat pork. Perhaps there's a few gems here after all and we just didn't order them, though what we did order was still nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming but we did get the sense like they wanted the table back at some point. Overall, I'd go back for a drink and some apps again.

Everything sounded appetizing but I finally opted for the K-Shack Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Antibiotic-free, hand-breaded whole white-meat chicken breast glazed in spicy-sweet sesame gochujang, topped with fresh scallions and kimchi slaw made with Choi's Kimchi, served on a toasted potato bun"). The ordering process at this location couldn't be easier: you enter what you want at the kiosk, pay, and then wait. It only took a few minutes before my sandwich was ready. And it's a good sandwich. Those Korean flavors really shine through, and that coleslaw cuts the heavy sauce quite nicely. The chicken itself was on the extremely dry side but otherwise I really enjoyed this concoction. The seating upstairs and downstairs meant it was easy enough to grab a table, too. It's a solid fast-food joint.

The service was friendly and patient as I was greeted upon entry and took my time perusing the menu. The restaurant was very clean and organized, not a lot of stuff on the walls and the bathrooms were in top shape which I appreciated. I ordered the classic double burger, with a side a fries and a cane cola. The burger was delicious! Toppings were fresh and tasty, and it made a mess with the sauces and condiments which is a sign of a great burger. It wasn't overly huge, a good size for my hands and they did get messy as I devoured this scrumptious burger. The Cane Cola was a nice accompaniment to try for the first time but not necessary to enjoy the burger. The fries were golden and crispy and quite a large portion for the price. I just wished the fry lengths were a bit longer as I received a lot of tiny pieces instead of longer potatoes which meant I was scooping them up in my hand to eat them. Not a dealbreaker, just an annoyance. The wait for the food wasn't very long, about 5-8 minutes and they brought the order to the table. I really enjoyed the burger and fries making this NOT just another burger spot but MTTBS = Must try this burger spot!

Went on Monday afternoon as I was on my regular driving route and ordered the crispy chicken burger.
