I've been wanting to Burger Drops for a long time and am so happy I finally went! I got a single original cheeseburger and it was probably the best smash burger I've had! Also got a side of curly fries which were really good. We were able to bring our dog inside and got him a burger patty as well, which he devoured right away. Came by here today on our winter food hopping date and only ordered the Holiday Fries aka regular poutine with their curly fries, cheese, and gravy sauce. We really wanted to try their Holiday burger too but didn't get a chance because they were quite busy so there wasn't seating inside. Instead, we chose to brace the cold with the poutine to warm us up. It came out piping hot and the gravy helped to soak the fries. The cheese completely melted. I am not a huge fan of poutines usually but this was very tasty! I think having their curly fries as is with the crunchiness and ketchup would be great. While my personal tastes don't have this as the best smashburger in the city, it is definitely way up there. - Original Cheeseburger: The patty was crispy on the edges like all great smashburgers are. Pretty good bouncy bun. Perfect melt on the cheese. Good amount of pickles and onions. Would have liked their signature sauce to be more distinct. - Green Chile Burger: They have a rotating feature burger, and I chanced upon one with green chile and smoky mustard mayo. Same crispy patty and perfect cheese, but I actually liked this one better given the heat added an extra kick to the burger. Lots of takeout while I was there, though place can seat around ten people inside. Kitchen is quick so orders come flying out and the wait isn't long. Prices are what prices are these days. Although I worked in the area, I had never been here. But my friends have been raving about this place. So one day I decided to come by. Even at 4pm, this place is busy enough that there were no seats available indoors. There are only a few to begin with. I ordered a single American, paid, took the buzzer outdoors while I waited. Outside, there is a bench and a wooden counter with patio umbrellas. The burger itself was very good. The patty was flavorful, though I thought it was a little too salty. I can't believe I haven't tried Burger Drops sooner. They have some great burgers and fries. The bun was pillowy and held its shape, the meat was delicious and I loved the onions and sauce in the burger. The highlight though, are the curly fries! They were so crispy and soft on the inside. When I heard that a well-regarded joint was doing a collaboration with a well-regarded Korean joint, I knew I had to try whatever they came up with. So it was that I found myself at Burger Drops on a recent weekend. The place was quite busy but we managed to snag a spot at their outside standing-room-only table. Obviously we ordered the Takja Burger ("Smashed Patty, White American Cheese, Galbi Onion, White Kimchi Relish, Furikake, Ssamjang Mayo"). It was ready about ten minutes later and we began to eat. I think this is the best burger I've had in Toronto! We went when it was newly hyped up and we were so happy when it lived up to its reputation. Regarded by many as the best burger in Toronto, I'd have to agree. Smash burgers have really blown up these past few years and this one is really simply delicious. The menu is also small but I appreciate restaurants doing a few things really well than doing a lot of things poorly. The prices and service were fair. There are a lot of more expensive, less worthwhile burgers in this city. We ordered a burger and curly fries, and got extra drops sauce for the fries. The burger was that perfect balance between crisp but still juicy. The toppings were perfect complements and that drops sauce is next level. The buns were soft but still had integrity so it didn't fall apart. The curly fries were soft good!! Crispy and seasoned perfectly. What I love about burger drops is that they're not trying to reinvent the wheel, they're doing the same thing that a lot of the places are doing but executing better. The burgers don't have gourmet toppings, they're simply dressed so you can really taste the beef and all the toppings without it becoming muddled. Overall an excellent burger, the best I've had! As far as smash burgers go, Burger Drops is one of the best in the city. They made it to Yelp Canada's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2022. The pillowy bun, along with the sauce that just melds into the patty, makes for the perfect bite. I like the American version because of the added tang from the ketchup relish, and my partner preferred the Original because he says it's less salty. We also added a donut of the day, which is the cookies and cream in this light, fluffy churro-style donut. Definitely get a donut if it's available. It's only on Saturdays, or maybe weekends only. It was bustling around lunchtime on Saturday, but the line moves quickly. There isn't much seating indoors, but we were luckily able to grab a seat after some customers left. There is a small, tiny patio that would add some extra seating in the warmer months, though I do see customers already enjoying their burgers outside. So good! There's nothing like it. Yes, there's very limited seating. Yes, it's not wheelchair accessible. Yes, there's only one location . Yes, it isn't easy to get to buy TTC but possible and no, there is no parking nearby.. But, it's all worth it for the most delicious Smashburger in the city. I got the original double with their top sauce and cheese on top, I can't believe something so simple can taste so good so you that's how you know don't try to mess with the classics, the meat was perfectly cooked and their drop sauce was so good 100 times better than McDonald's Big Mac sauce. We got the cheeseburger and the American with the only difference being the onions and ketchup addition. Also tried the crinkle fries which were cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. Considered one of the best burger joints in Toronto, I tried this location twice. Ordered the single patty original. The burger patty was cooked to perfection. The size of the burger was as expected from a reputable burger joint. It's about the same size as the burger priest OG cheeseburger so I was pretty happy about that. I have two dislikes, the first were the pickles, it made the burger a bit more tart than my usual liking. I suggest removing it if you aren't a person who likes sour foods. This is completely forgivable. So I did not account this into my rating. My second dislike is that the place is always full! It was near impossible to find a place to sit. The directly surrounding area doesn't have a park. So you would have to look for a park bench to eat your meal so that it's still hot and delicious. This becomes a problem during the colder or wet days. Overall, I will probably return if they open up an east side location! It's just a touch further than I'd like being from the east side and there are many other alternatives that don't particularly make me want to trek all the way. read more

This just might be the best burger I have ever had, and definitely, the best cheesy fried I've ever had (only had the ones from In-and-Out before and they were hot trash). Everybody knows I love a small menu, and they only have 2 "types" of burgers, but that's all you'll ever need. Each ingredient is so efficient at playing its role, together they create the perfect savory/cheesy/meaty mouthful every time. Plus, if you look at the picture, you can see the caramel brown crust on the patty only familiar to the most amazing smash burgers.
