While my personal tastes don't have this as the best smashburger in the city, it is definitely way up there. - Original Cheeseburger: The patty was crispy on the edges like all great smashburgers are. Pretty good bouncy bun. Perfect melt on the cheese. Good amount of pickles and onions. Would have liked their signature sauce to be more distinct. - Green Chile Burger: They have a rotating feature burger, and I chanced upon one with green chile and smoky mustard mayo. Same crispy patty and perfect cheese, but I actually liked this one better given the heat added an extra kick to the burger. Lots of takeout while I was there, though place can seat around ten people inside. Kitchen is quick so orders come flying out and the wait isn't long. Prices are what prices are these days. People are friendly. Overall, it's a really good burger spot that stands out in a city filled with them. Can definitely see why many people love this place.
Although I worked in the area, I had never been here. But my friends have been raving about this place. So one day I decided to come by. Even at 4pm, this place is busy enough that there were no seats available indoors. There are only a few to begin with. I ordered a single American, paid, took the buzzer outdoors while I waited. Outside, there is a bench and a wooden counter with patio umbrellas. The burger itself was very good. The patty was flavorful, though I thought it was a little too salty. The bun was light and fluffy. I enjoyed the sweetness and tanginess of the sauce. Although the burger was good, I don't think I would crave it.
I can't believe I haven't tried Burger Drops sooner. They have some great burgers and fries. The bun was pillowy and held its shape, the meat was delicious and I loved the onions and sauce in the burger. The highlight though, are the curly fries! They were so crispy and soft on the inside. Only downside was that there were lots of small bits of fries at the bottom of the bag. Otherwise Burger Drops is delicious and I'd definitely come back to try out more items. They have a few parking spots outside their store.
When I heard that a well-regarded joint was doing a collaboration with a well-regarded Korean joint, I knew I had to try whatever they came up with. So it was that I found myself at Burger Drops on a recent weekend. The place was quite busy but we managed to snag a spot at their outside standing-room-only table. Obviously we ordered the Takja Burger ("Smashed Patty, White American Cheese, Galbi Onion, White Kimchi Relish, Furikake, Ssamjang Mayo"). It was ready about ten minutes later and we began to eat. It's an amazing concoction. The perfectly-cooked patty was accompanied by some seriously tasty and bold Korean flavors. Honestly, it's a dish that's so good it's crazy to me it's not more common. No notes. It's too bad the Takja Burger is a limited-time only thing because it's an all-timer of a hamburger.

Really classic burger spot! My husband and I really enjoyed the burgers and the curly fries and onion rings - we were absolutely stuffed! Staff was super friendly and energetic! There's a bathroom in the downstairs area and it was super clean. There is limited seating available so be prepared to take your meal to go.
4.5 My #1 favourite smash burgers in the city! I've been here more times than I can count and it hits the spot every time. Also love their curly fries. Tried their banana pudding which was also delicious. Definitely recommend this spot!!

The kitchen was packed with people producing burgers and fries. Their menu is limited, but that ensures quality. Classic single patty - Burger was a bit disappointing. It lacked flavour, it lacked beef taste and the pickles were cut as thick as the waffle fries... Bun was not my favourite either. in all, not my burger of choice. Waffle fries - These were crispy and fluffy and seasoned with salt. Very good. Would get again.
The best smash burgers AND crinkle cut fries in Toronto! We were at the CNE and decided to finally try out Burger Drops instead for dinner. Located in the Liberty Village, it was a short walk from the CNE. There were a couple tables inside, a bench and standing area outside. Not much seating so it seemed to be designed more as a takeout spot. Luckily we were able to grab a table before a rush of people came in. Ordered the American burger and crinkle cut fries. It was not a long wait for food. The burger was cooked to perfection and it did not become a sloppy, saucy mess while eating. The crinkle cut fries were crispy on the outside, and tasted like mashed potatoes on the inside. Really delicious fast food at reasonable prices. Must-try spot in the Liberty Village area!
Great smashburgers! Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had and I've had many in NYC! The addition of sides like curly fries, always a fan favorite, and onion rings isn't something I'll see at the best smash burger joints. Why is it that these options aren't on more menus?! There are definitely crispy edges on these burgers and having the option to add bacon also definitely adds a Smokey crunchy flavor profile. Ordering was quick and the wait was minimal but seating is very limited so I had to grab my order to go. Street parking was also a little hard to come by

You get the smash style crust, but the burgers maintain their juiciness. The potato bun is nice and soft, but holds up to the juicy patty. The accompanying cheese is nicely melted, the pickles are crisp, and the onions provide a bit of sweetness. It all combines to provide one of the best examples of a smash burger in Toronto. The sides are also tasty. They offer curly fries which is nice and unique as I rarely come across them. It provided a nice bit of nostalgia as I haven't had curly fries since I was a young child. The only thing to be aware of is that this is more of a take out place. They only offer a few tables to eat at, so you can't always expect to find one that is free. Bottom Line: If you like smash style burgers (who doesn't?) then Burger Drops is a must try.
This is arguably the best burger i've ever had in Toronto. It is incredibly flavorful, so fresh, amazing ingredients, and just everything you're looking for in a burger. I am not a curly fries fan so my opinion of them shouldn't hold any weight, they weren't my favorite. But this burger was absolutely unreal. Staff were superb and provided excellent customer service. People said that there isn't a lot of seating and they're right, but I came on a Thursday afternoon so was able to enjoy my meal inside. I will recommend this to anyone in Toronto or visiting! 10's across the board read more

Came by here today on our winter food hopping date and only ordered the Holiday Fries aka regular poutine with their curly fries, cheese, and gravy sauce. We really wanted to try their Holiday burger too but didn't get a chance because they were quite busy so there wasn't seating inside. Instead, we chose to brace the cold with the poutine to warm us up. It came out piping hot and the gravy helped to soak the fries. The cheese completely melted. I am not a huge fan of poutines usually but this was very tasty! I think having their curly fries as is with the crunchiness and ketchup would be great. The service was great and the team is very efficient. There were a bunch of walk-in and online orders. Kudos to them. read more
I've been wanting to Burger Drops for a long time and am so happy I finally went! I got a single original cheeseburger and it was probably the best smash burger I've had! Also got a side of curly fries which were really good. We were able to bring our dog inside and got him a burger patty as well, which he devoured right away. We went for a late lunch and it was still pretty busy but we were able to get seats at one of the few tables inside. Definitely worth the drive to come here! read more

OMG the food is spectacular. I am not exaggerating. We ordered the original (single and double patties), crinkle cut fries, onion rings, slush with yuzu, and banana foster dessert. Everything was absolutely fresh and amazing. The service was great. Super nice staff. The ambiance is ok. Very small area with a few tiny tables for those who wish to dine in. As far as smash burgers go, Burger Drops is one of the best in the city. They made it to Yelp Canada's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2022. The pillowy bun, along with the sauce that just melds into the patty, makes for the perfect bite. I like the American version because of the added tang from the ketchup relish, and my partner preferred the Original because he says it's less salty. We also added a donut of the day, which is the cookies and cream in this light, fluffy churro-style donut. Definitely get a donut if it's available. It's only on Saturdays, or maybe weekends only. It was bustling around lunchtime on Saturday, but the line moves quickly. There isn't much seating indoors, but we were luckily able to grab a seat after some customers left. There is a small, tiny patio that would add some extra seating in the warmer months, though I do see customers already enjoying their burgers outside. So good! Definitely recommend to add it to your list of places to try in Toronto. read more

Everybody has been telling me burger drops is one of the best burger spots in Toronto. So I had to check it out for myself to see if it's true. I got the original double with their top sauce and cheese on top, I can't believe something so simple can taste so good so you that's how you know don't try to mess with the classics, the meat was perfectly cooked and their drop sauce was so good 100 times better than McDonald's Big Mac sauce. The original with sweet onion American cheese, house pickles, drop sauce, toasted potato roll, that's what I like a place that does one thing but they do it really well they don't try to add some weird stuff just to make their place stand out, they keep it simple I really appreciate it that. There was a line but not too bad the burger was made quick and nice and hot. read more

Pretty good smash burgers. Very small place though so it's hard to get seating, mostly for takeaway. We got the cheeseburger and the American with the only difference being the onions and ketchup addition. Also tried the crinkle fries which were cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. The burgers were pretty great, I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and was glad I was able to try it. The service was good as well, pretty fast but it was also not too busy when we came in. I wouldn't consider it the best burgers I've had though. read more
Burger drops is a casual and small burger shop in Liberty Village. I went on a Saturday afternoon and despite the long line of customers, the staff seemed diligent to serve customers quickly. I loved the American burger for its juicy beef patty and combination of condiments. The curly fries were fresh and had a crispy exterior. I can't wait to try the banana pudding next time as I have heard great things about it! Definetly planning to return for another satisfying meal soon! read more
burger drops delivers a fun and satisfying fast food experience, with their truffle sauce burger stealing the show. the burger is a perfect blend of flavors, with a juicy, well-cooked patty, fresh toppings, and a rich, flavorful truffle sauce that adds a gourmet touch. every bite feels indulgent yet balanced, showcasing the care put into its preparation. the gravy fries are a great companion to the burger--crispy, well-seasoned, and just the right amount of indulgent. the combination makes for a meal that's both comforting and elevated. the service at burger drops is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. the staff is attentive and approachable, making sure customers feel at ease even during busier moments. there was a small hiccup with ordering, as it wasn't clear that the truffle fries were an additional charge in the holiday combo, but it was quickly sorted out. cashier also said the cheese truffle fries are a bigger size, but it really wasn't that much bigger at all. seating is also limited, with only three tables available, so visiting during off-peak hours is recommended. the interior is clean and bright, there's a collage of customer and employee photos on the wall. price is comparable to five guys and shake shack, regular double burger is $12 + tax, while the holiday burger is $14 + tax. regular fries is $6, curly fries are $8, and holiday fries are $10. i wouldn't get the holiday fries again just based on the price and size. our meal was all in all around $55 total which honestly is a bit steep for fast food burger. the take out bag is high density paper. all dine in and take out seem to have similar paper packaging. burger drops excels in delivering fresh, flavorful food with great service. the truffle sauce burger is truly a standout and is well worth trying for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious and memorable burger experience. i would come back to try more! read more

I was at the awesome 3rd anniversary celebration at Burger Drops on September 23 2023! They served their very first smash burger recipe of fried onions at $3 and $6 for double. It was delicious but I prefer their current smash burgers that has their signature sauce. Huge line up but I was first in line! Got to meet the owner Greg and his sister Anthoula and his wife Katherine. Service was fast and ambiance of meeting other fans in line and on the street was so fun! read more
Burger Drops is to the Toronto Burger scene what Badiali is to the TO pizza scene. This just might be the best burger I have ever had, and definitely, the best cheesy fried I've ever had (only had the ones from In-and-Out before and they were hot trash). Everybody knows I love a small menu, and they only have 2 "types" of burgers, but that's all you'll ever need. Each ingredient is so efficient at playing its role, together they create the perfect savory/cheesy/meaty mouthful every time. Plus, if you look at the picture, you can see the caramel brown crust on the patty only familiar to the most amazing smash burgers. I was barely done with my meal, and I was already planning my next visit. A must go. PS: I had both the original and the American and they're both amazing, don't worry, you just can't go wrong not matter your choice. read more
Burger Drops, located in Liberty Village along Atlantic Ave near King St. W. serves up a simple menu of burgers and fries. In regards to hamburgers, they have the classic or American style with different toppings where they have either single or double patty options. There is also a chicken sandwich and chicken fingers on the menu as well. They also have 4 different types of fries to choose from as well as 1-2 desserts. Seating (indoor/outdoor) is limited were there are only seats for around 12 people where it is first come first serve. I dropped by Burger Drops on a Sat afternoon with a party of 6. We placed our order and our food was made at a reasonable time. We were lucky enough to score a seat inside as other customers were leaving. I tried the single American burger with a friend as well as some curly fries. The burger was great, the edges were crispy and the American toppings worked well with the burger. They also use a great quality bun where it holds the burger well together. The curly fries were crispy and cooked well. Overall, a good place for smash burgers. Definitely want to return for more! read more
The burger was alright I had a double American cheeseburger. The meal wasn't anything crazy but if you're in the area and want grab something I'd say go for it. The patty lacked a flavor of seasonings added to the meat and the French fries needed that light crunch to them. I will say the server was nice and answered any questions. The space itself was small and very limited seating (not a problem) but with the hole in wall appearance, expected a greater taste. read more

If you're craving a deliciously greasy smash burger, Burger Drop is the place for you! We tried the Original and American burgers with a side of onion rings and curly fries--it's the perfect order for those who want the best of everything. Between the Original and American burgers, I preferred the American burger as a ketchup lover. I think a hybrid burger with ketchup, relish, pickles, and griddled sweet onions would be a dream come true. As for their 'drop sauce', it seems to be a Cajun mayo--it was decent. read more
Burger Drops has been hyped by so many people to me as the best burger in the city. While it was certainly a great burger and a top 3 in Toronto, it wasn't the clear cut winner to me - maybe because my expectations were so high. Despite this, the burger was still great with a nicely crisped patty, plenty of pickles, onions, and their delicious drop sauce. The cheesy fries were also good but I would have loved a touch more seasoning. I'll have to be back to try the burger again. read more
June 27/2023: This was a very awesome double burger with cheese. Very moist & tasty, bursting with flavour. Got it the way it was sold (onions, pickles & their special "drop sauce) on a potato bun ($10.50). It's fried not grilled or BBQ'ed. I like my burgers that way too! I had the onion rings ($6.50) & curly fries ($4.00) as my shared side dish. The rings were VERY crispy & injured my mouth. The curly fries were good but could have been fried more. There was seating for exactly 5 ppl inside & about 8 outside. That's it! The star loss was from the subpar bun. The chicken bun had a sesame bun. That would have been better. Definitely a do over. read more
