I was put on to this place by one of my close friends who actually lives out in Brampton. He told me that when he comes into downtown Toronto, this is usually one of his go-to burger spots. One day, as lunchtime was about to start, I hopped on Yelp and realized that this location was within walking distance of my workplace. When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was that ordering was done at a pickup window a la one of those classic hole-in-the-walls systems. There were maybe 2 groups ahead of me. In the span of 15 mins, the area in front of the window became chaotic after I ordered. I got a Crudy combo which came w/ poutine (opted for regular fries instead of the poutine) and a drink. The burger included 2 smash patties, cheese, fried onions, pickles and rudy sauce. The fries are shoestring variety (they were average tasting). At the cashier's recommendation, I got a chocolate shake to round off. My friend wasn't wrong. This was one of the best smash burgers I've EVER consumed. The patties were oh so crispy/caramelized and onions were layered between the patties for even distribution in every bite. I also liked that while the patties were pressed for the crispy edges, they still retained enough thickness. I've eaten some smash burgers where they press the patties so flat that they basically turn into crepes instead of patties and lack mouthfeel. The buns were super pillowy. While the burger WAS insane, I paid close to $30 for 3 items!!! Priced themselves JUST like Shake Shack at Dundas Square. Do I think the combo altogether was worth $30? Not a chance. My friend also told me the price has sadly spiked tremendously for no reason in the last year. I will definitely return for a burger once in a while but will probably skip out on anything else due to the astronomical prices for the sides and drinks. 5 stars for the burger quality (prolly just a 3 star rating in terms of value).
The burger was delicious, definitely some of the best I've had in Toronto and the poutine was really good too. It's a roadside takeout setup, which is kind of a cool concept. Service was kind and the food tasted super fresh, though we waited about 15-20 minutes. Overall, yummy and worth the stop!
This location has no seating - an fyi since we thought it at least had some bar tables to eat at - only a bench outside. I got the Rudy burger and small poutine. The patty was a bit crispier than expected but I really enjoyed the flavour of the sauce. The poutine was nothing too special. They had some other items that were not on the regular menu, not sure if it was for a limited time, but would like to return to try it.
Great burger but this spot is more inconsistent, especially if they're busy. Still one of my favourite burgers in the city. When they do the burger right and the cheese and burger fuse together, with all those crunchy edges - it just hits different.
Look at all those layers !!! Tried Rudy recently and we were NOT disappointed We got the following: - Big Rudy: Fully dressed with two beef patties, 3 slices of buns, Rudy Sauce, shredded lettuce, cheese, pickles and onion - Valentino: Fried chicken sandwich with slaw, house-made Valentino sauce and mild hot sauce Both burgers were super filling, thick and SAUCY just the way they should be :P Big thank you to the restaurant staff for letting me in to take some bomb pics since it was already dark outside lol Unfortunately the location these pics were taken at (Duncan street) caught on a sudden fire the next day, all staff exited safely however the restaurant is now closed for repairs :( Here's wishing them good vibes and a quick recovery! Will visit when y'all are up and running bigger and better :) All 3 other locations are still open and running to satisfy all your burger/fried chicken sando cravings in the meanwhile! So what are you waiting for ?! Check them out y'all :)
This place has the reputation of having the best burgers in town. I'm not sure it is the best but it is definitely up there. We bought the Rude Dude (double cheeseburger) Tatooed (bacon) for $9.69 + $1.99. The $0.69 ending is because their address is 69. I would have expected a double cheeseburger to look thicker but it wasn't. The burger edges were a little too charred for my liking but the inside was extremely juicy. The bacon was generous. Inside there is counter seating for 4 people but outside there is bench seating for 6-8 more people (If the weather is good). They are slowly adding to their menu with poutine and more recently Valentino (fried chicken sandwich). There is no WiFi or washrooms.

The burgers are famous here, and a tip from a Yelper from Montreal says that they don't use the usual beef gravy in their poutine, which cool for vegetarians. We got fries and the chicken sammie. The burgers and Sammies are on the small side so keep this in mind if you are hungry. The chicken comes combined with Cole slaw and delicious! There's a sauce on the side for dipping too. The chicken is tasty and properly seasoned, with chunks of nice white meat, a real treat! The fries are the skinny, McD style, but curiously lacked salt when we got them. Fries without salt are like eggs without bacon, something definitely missing there. I figured they are going on the theory that you can always add salt, but can't remove it? Anyway, keep that in mind when you order as you can ask them to add salt, or get some on the side to do your own thing. The milkshakes at RUDY never disappoint, although your bill will reflect your indulgences making you realize you are in Toronto and not in small town Ontario where milkshakes are no big deal. Regardless, RUDY has a good formula, and one not to mess with. Recommended!
Good burger and poutine, burger was on the salty side, but was balanced out by the poutine, as that wasn't overly salty. Also, kind of wish there were some condiment options. Maybe a BBQ sauce or something similar, the burger needed a bit more imo.

Love a good rudy on a late night run or mid day break! this particular location doesn't have indoor seating, so it's nice to swing by when the weather is good and take your meal to go. the fries are done in beef tallow and you can taste the difference! staff are friendly and work hard. read more
I was excited to come eat here because I was told it was amazing and they couldn't stop raving about it. It was disappointing in almost all respects. There is no seating at this location, you can't even go inside. You order from a window and wait on the side of the street until it's ready. So there's little overhead when it comes to seating, cleaning up after customers, etc. That is fine and understandable yet they're asking for tips to take your order while you stand outside and wait. The order in question: two burgers, two drinks and fries. I was given 1 napkin for all of that. Just one napkin. The burgers were small, just a bit bigger than a slider but thin and they were overcooked and burnt all around the edges. The fries were fine, golden and crispy but served in a small bag for $5. If Rudy is trying to save money in this economy, that's fine, but I don't feel the need to give them mine. read more

Burger is great. Good flavour, the crispy around the edges makes it a good bite. Rudy sauce is also good. Buns are nice and fluffy. Fries are fresh and tasty with gravy. But..... I'm not sure why I pay $2.70 for 3 ounces of gravy made from powder. read more

I like the simplicity of the menu. Do you want a Cheeseburger or a Double Cheeseburger? But if you have perfected the art of smashed burger, there is no need to have anything else? This is the 2nd location of Rudy and I had been to their first original location. Same good burger but don't expect to seat in and enjoy your food as there is only 2 seats. The staff do expect you have yours to go anyway. Juicy and love the crust on the patty! Nicely toasted buns and I would not change anything. Greasy and simple guilty pleasure especially when I keep telling myself I need to be eating more healthy! read more
This spot's burger was out of this world, when my colleague told me to come here for the best burger in Toronto, he was right. We went in after seeing a movie at TIFF and the shop is setup for a grab and go style. The burgers were so juicy, and crunchy, plus Rudys sauce gives it that extra mile of deliciousness, and I highly recommend having it with your fries if you get fries. These can be addictive, after you have one burger, makes you want another! It's about the size of your palm, and goes down quick. So savor and enjoy the burgery goodness from Rudy! read more
You have to admire a restaurant that has only four items on the menu - a cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, fries, and poutine. Technically, I guess that's really only two items - burger and fries. It means they put all of their confidence in their burger patty. That takes guts. Hot dog carts have more choices. Thank goodness they do that burger well. The space is tiny, with a service counter, the kitchen behind a mesh screen, a small beverage fridge, and seating for two in the window. I don't think they take reservations. The burger is fried on a griddle, with nicely caramelized bits. They top it with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and their signature Rudy sauce and then wrap it in a fresh super soft bun. That's the Rudy. Simple. Tasty. The Rude Dude adds another burger patty. Bacon is optional. If you're in the neighbourhood and craving a good burger, try this one. read more

Rudy 2 opened up on Duncan/Queen and business already seems pretty popular, with groups of people waiting outside for their order. Ordered The Rudy, and it was a tasty greasy cheese burger. It comes flat but that makes it easier to eat. read more
These burgers are the real deal. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries via UberEats. I'm one of those picky eaters that likes to customize the s**t out of my meals, so I was a bit unhappy to see the 4 menu items and lack of customization offered by RUDY, but after biting into my burger, I understood why. The burgers themselves we're perfect! Heck, even the fries which were understandably lukewarm (due to delivery) were fantastic. I just wished they would use real American cheese instead of the processed stuff. read more
What summer body?! Had the 'rude dude' which is a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and rudy sauce, which we added bacon to! This burger was greasy goodness but I did notice they only use Kraft cheese slices. Whereas at @burgerspriest they have premium toppings! The 'valentino' (not pictured) was pretty good! The fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw, Valentino sauce and hot sauce was fried to perfection and super crispy. The chocolate milkshake didn't taste that chocolate-y which was disappointing. read more

Came here with my brother who is a big fan of cheeseburgers and he liked it (he is a picky eater). Service was good, it was kinds slow despite it only the two of us at the store. If this is what people classify as the closest thing as In-n-Out then I would definitely go try it!! read more

After getting a burger and fries from RUDY this afternoon, I decided that this place is too good to be four stars, so I'm updating my review to five. I got the Rude Dude Burger, my wife got the Rudy Burger and we shared an order of fries. I just love the patty - where else can you find a homemade burger that is completely crispy around the edges but still manages to be juicy in the middle? In addition to the unbelievable patty, the bun is super soft, the cheese adds some nice flavour, the lettuce and tomato are fresh and the Rudy Sauce is just awesome. As to be expected for a double cheeseburger, it was pretty heavy. The Rudy Burger wasn't as heavy and had the ingredients more evening proportioned, making for a more balanced bite. I actually prefer the Rudy Burger because of this but it usually isn't filling enough for me so I tend to go with the Rude Dude. The fries are kind of soggy but it doesn't even matter because they just taste so damn good. Like I said in my previous review, they're like a superior version of MacDonalds fries and the portion size is huge. Possibly my favourite burger in the city. Highly recommended. Five stars. read more

Not great, and not exactly expected. Patty is tiny. Dry (too lean) - must be catering to the health freaks who haven't eat turned vegan yet. Not enough sauce, but when chomped into it, it was a decent burger. Fries were a major disappointment. The milk shake really disappointed. It's like soft ice cream in a cup with a straw. It maybe a while before I want to return as it's expensive and just mediocre. read more
Based on an UberEats...meh So the food was cold when it arrived which ok can be put down to Uber as they are awful in general but the worst point was the way Rudy had packed there food...sticking 3 burgers and 2 fries into 1 bag with drinks caused for everything to be squashed together and no doubt helped to the food being cold! The chicken burger itself was OK but nothing special, I'd be careful to order from here again read more
RUDY makes cheeseburgers the way I like them - the bun is soft and chewy, patty is juicy, and cheese is melted. The burgers here are definitely reminiscent of the ones at Shake Shack and Shake Shack is my all time favourite place for burgers. Menu is very simple - they have cheeseburgers, a chicken sandwich, fries/poutine, pop, and milkshakes. The regular cheeseburger is a bit on the smaller side so if you are hungry you're better off getting the double. You can add bacon for an extra charge. The vanilla milkshake was decent - I would get it if you're craving one but nothing special. Pro tip - not on the menu but you can ask for onions or pickles added to your burger! read more
My girlfriend and I came here for a quick burger and poutine before a movie at Scotiabank theatre. This location is only a takeaway spot with a few chairs that face the window. I ordered the off menu special Rude Mac. This is basically a Big Mac clone. My girlfriend ordered the poutine. Our food came out pretty quickly. My girlfriend enjoyed her poutine. I was able to take a few bites. The gravy could use a bit more zip but, it contained a lot of cheese curds which is nice. My Rude Mac was fantastic definitely one of the best burgers I've had in Toronto. The griddled patty is nice and crispy while still being juicy. The special sauce gave it that great Big Mac flavor. The bun was also nice and fluffy. I enjoy Rudy's. Its defiantly one of the top burger joints in the city. The only issue I had was the lack of air conditioning. It was hotter inside the restaurant then outside. They need to better ventilate and add air conditioning. For that I do drop a mark and it gets a 4 out of 5. read more
