    Major burger
    Don L.

Got myself the major burger (which I think is the most basic). The patty smells absolutely amazing. As for taste, not very flavourful and on the dry side. Went in on a Saturday evening and got to-go but noticed the restaurant wasn't too busy. Service is on a slower side compared to other places but not a "major" complaint. Overall, it's good. Would come back.

Hello foodies... This is such an epic amazing burger that if the real foodies out there don't put it on their bucket list then you have no idea what you're missing out on. Gladiator Burger is located on Queen and Dixie corner in a large free-standing building and is hard to miss if you drive by, with a large parking lot so plenty of parking, this place has some pretty cool trendy decor and seats both inside and outside patio for dining. I opted for the Gladiator Burger out of their many choices including steak sandwiches and shakes that also look divine. The Gladiator burger is two prime 6 oz beef patties topped with beef bacon, the best cheddar cheese, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, caramelized onions, and their incredible tasting aioli, they don't use typical ketchup or mustard but trust me you don't even want it on, this aioli sauce is put on thick and it's just delicious and the perfect sauce for this burger. Food 5/5 ...This burger is a heart attack waiting to happen lol...but oh so worth it , the juiciest burger I have ever had by far . Perfectly cooked prime ground chuck beef, seasoned to perfection. Two very thick 6oz prime beef patties covered in 2 slices of high-quality thick cheddar cheese, melted to absolute perfection dripping with every bite, this burger is a 10 napkin burger that's how juicy and messy it is to eat, greasy in the most fabulous way, the perfect bun to meat ratio and one of those burgers I would drive the distance just to get. It's that good and for sure the top 3 burgers I have ever had in the GTA. Service 5/5 ...I was greeted with a smile and very friendly fast service they freshly cooked my burger in a little over 5 minutes my food was ready ...Guys and Gals this is a must-try bucket list restaurant, it's fire!!! And for you, burger fans out there you're missing out if you don't try their burgers.

4.5 Stars This location just opened last week and is their second location after the original in Mississauga. They seem to be pretty active on social media as I'd seen them quite a bit over the last few months when they were only in Mississauga and most recently learning they opened in Brampton via an ad on IG. During the week, they had an opening promo for their Warrior burger (burger, cheese, grilled onions, sauce, pickles, lettuce and tomato) along with fries and a can of pop for $10. Certainly too good to pass up, so I ensured I was there the next day. The address is on Lisa St., but think of it as on the corner of Dixie and Queen, and you can also enter the plaza from Queen on the SW side. It was a bit quiet inside, but they have only just opened. It was a little unclear coming in if it was table or counter service as they do have the counter at the front with the register and staff waiting there, but then a staff came around and offered a menu and that I could be seated. Since I knew I wanted, I just gave my order right away. The food was all made to order, but it also came out quite fast - about 5 or so minutes, which was nice. The fries were fresh cut and was a huge serving. Really nice burger, and very juicy and made with fresh meat for sure. Obviously, if the price was permanent I'd give an easy 5 stars, but it looks according their website that this would all normally run closer to $15 (with the pop) before tax and tip. It's not to say it isn't fair value, but since the price point is a bit higher it will likely mean it couldn't quite be a substitute for a cheap eat. Great that they're in town and nice to have a sit down burger place that can rival the Works but deliver the food far quicker.

Chunks of gravy in my poutine

I visited during the pandemic so I called ahead to order and they told me it would be 15min then called me once it was ready I was excited because I went to the original gladiator burger in mississauga and fell in love. Today I tried the poutine and was underwhelmed the gravy lacked flavor and had chunks in it. At first I thought maybe it got cold so I warmed it up and the chunks didn't melt. The cheese was delicious. The burger tasted delicious and juicy but halfway through it all started falling apart which made it extremely difficult to eat. It was filling! The portions are great. I would go back to this location but only for the burger or stick to regular fries or cheesy fries.

DELICIOUS! I was in the mood for a real burger that was juicy AF and my verdict for Gladiator Burger is: THEY DEFINITELY DELIVERED!! I am so glad I stumbled upon their IG page. I live in Brampton so there is not much choice for good food around here so I was super ecstatic when I found out that they opened a Brampton location. I decided to stick with something more basic and went with the Warrior Burger, Fearless Knight Steak Sandwich and a poutine. My warrior burger (basically a cheeseburger) was sooo good I devoured it so quick - I finished my meal before my bf for the first time ever LOL. I wasn't expecting the patty to be so full of flavour based on some reviewers' rating saying they found it bland, but it was perfectly seasoned for me! The melted cheese gave it a real nice kick - honestly all the ingredients are so simple yet it came together like a perfect harmony. On the other hand, my bf thought his steak sandwich was good but it tasted like any other philly cheese steaks that you can get from other restaurants. We also agreed that this was the case with their poutine. It was still good, but it felt like we've had it before plenty of times at other establishments. Based on this, I'd probably just stick to ordering their burgers and I am sooo down to try their other humongous burgers (when I have a bigger appetite LOL). Due to the pandemic, I can't really say much about their service as I ordered my meal through ubereats. But I can say that our meal arrived relatively fast :) Def 100% recommend!! Can't wait to try another burger at Gladiator Burger :)

    Major burger and cheese fries.
    Gigi A.

Definitely one of the best burger spots in Brampton. The patty was so juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the cheese was perfectly melted. I suspect they season the burger meat because it was tasty in a way I wasn't expecting. Oh, and the aioli...so good it should be bottled. Honestly, I expected some sogginess because it's takeout but you can see in the photo, not even the lettuce wilted. I ordered through Uber Eats and received the promotional cheese fries. It wasn't my favourite. The fries were medium thick (think Harvey's or Burger Priest) and excellent. However, I'm personally not a fan of cheese sauce and there was quite a bit on the fries. I wouldn't order the cheese fries again but I finished these ones, haha. Now that patios are open, I can't wait to visit in person. TL;DR - it's worth the hype and the takeout experience is 10/10

Gladiator Burger never fails to amaze me. They have such a variety of burgers to try and everytime I go, I try something new and I am never disappointed. The chicken Mac was loaded and cheesy and the chicken was crispy and flavourful. Will I be returning? Heck yeah!

Honestly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. I went on hike with some family and on the way home I stopped at Gladiator Burger and did not regret it. They had an outdoor set up in response to CoVid. The staff were friendly and were helpful. The wait wasn't long and you do get your bang for your buck !!!! Trust I'd definitely go again I ordered the comeback sandwich which was on point and they placed is definitely the joint !!!

I know a lot of people have reservations paying top dollar for just a sandwich, but I'd say the quality of ingredients and flavourful sauces is totally worth it. I always get the holy cow sandwich with vamp sauce, but will occasionally get the chicken sandwich with lunar sauce. I did try the lemonade they had once, but to be honest, it doesn't quite fit my palate. The lemonade has some sort of seasoning in it. If you've had lemonade from East Asian restaurants, you would kind of know what to expect. They also give you a discount card that you can show for an extra 15% off when you visit. If you're in the area looking for a quick bite, I'd give this place a shot.

This was a hearty sandwich, well over a pound on arrival I'd say. Unfortunately, it was delivered rather cold but not their fault. The toppings options were very varied and appreciated but the sauce could have been more generously applied. This sandwich was crazy filling. The bread was fresh, soft, and sturdy.. and the patties were flavourful. I'm not a vegetarian but I was very satisfied with them and happy I chose this over chicken or beef options. Pricepoint is a big high for a veggie sandwich but I truly feel there is high value in their product.. Need to go in and remove the delivery from the equation for a clear review

The service was a bit slow & disorganized but that's to be expected given the stage of the start up. Our server(s) were very nice & did a great job of looking after the table & were very attentive. The beer I had (Moretti-$8.50) wasn't as cold as it should have been, so the server replaced it. As for food...I ordered the Mesquite BBQ Chicken Pizza ($18.99) which was on special at $3.00 off for Thursday. The pizza was delicious. Perfectly done but it lacked enough BBQ sauce. It was good on the toppings & I asked for it to be well done which it was. The owner was very kind & was clearly working on making our dining experience as good as it could have been. As a new Spot they offered espresso & churros as a no charge promo. This was a casual but good dining experience. Great menu selection so that means if definitely go back. It's a solid 4-Star.

Hello foodies today I bring you a mixed bag of reviews from this small italian and portuguese…read morerestaurant. I would say its primarily takeout but they have one or two tables inside. They are located in a small plaza on the north side of Qieen st behind a gas station with plenty of parking . They serve your typical fair with pizza. Pasta , hot sandwiches, and Portuguese grilled chicken ... Today I ordered three sandwiches, the veal sandwich with hot peppers, the italian sausage sandwich with grilled peppers and onions and the Porruguese Chorizo sausage sandwich plain. 3./5 rating on average for all three sandwiches even though they were not all equal in quality and taste. Let's start with the veal as I feel this was the worst of the three. For a guy who has tried practically every veal sandwich in the GTA I think I know what makes a good veal plus I am half italian. Raring 3/5 a very large sandwich great portion size with I think two layers of thin cut veal could of used another layer not typical . However very hard not tender at all most likley overly deep fried, correct preparation is a shallow fry so it dosnt get hard , i found it very hard to bite through the sandwich because how tough the meet was. The second let down was this was definitely not home made tomato sauce very very acidic canned sauce . If you never had another veal sandwich it's probably not bad but in comparison to much better in the GTA it falls really short Italian sausage 2.5/5 is my rating again great portion size big sandwich several sausages cut in half in sandwich with some really tasty grilled peppers and onions , but again this sausage was not fresh very hard overcooked and probably sat in fridge then reheated days later making it very hard and difficult to bight through not one bit of tenderness...and same issue with the canned sauce extremely acidic. Portuguese Chorizo sausage sandwich was the best one. .3.8/5 .Another generous large portion size .but on a more positive note .the sausage was better cooked not so dry and hard very very flavorful and maybe because it was not drenched in that acidic tomato sauce it was a good sandwich at least much better then the previous two The olives were just fabulous tasty spicey and perfect highly recomend thos with your meal 5/5 Service 5/5 was very friendly fast my food was ready in about 7 minutes from the time I ordered. I'm also probably just a weakling and shouldn't have forced myself to eat all that. Anyways, I have only heard good things about firehouse subs forever. Surprisingly, my bf has tried it before I have and he too raves about them. I finally had a chance to try a few bites from my friends' subs as they had ordered some through skip the dishes. I was blown away. I tried a few bites of the Italian and the Steak and Cheese and it was sooooo good. Also, for a bootleg Philly cheesesteak, which I know they do not claim to be, it was pretty good!! So a week later I was super craving my own and could not stop thinking about it. Thankfully for me, there's one an 8 minute drive away. Since I had such a good experience with the Italian that's what I decided to order. A medium. Also I had no idea you could add certain extra toppings at no fee, until my gf started ordering them lol next time. Anyways, somehow my friend's sub last week tasted so much better and it was delivery! Lol. Maybe it's because I got whole wheat. I need to make note to stick to white bread next time. The sub was still super tasty, packed with meat and fresh ingredients. I love their buns. They're the perfect softness. I hate buns that are hard and hurt my gums. Ya I'm sounding hella old. Hype is great to generate buzz, but it can also lead to unrealistic expectations. I'm happy to report that Firehouse has completely met and even surpassed my high expectations. I'd heard great things about their meatball sub, so I went with that on my first visit. I had a couple years as a teenager loving meatball subs at Subway, but have since largely moved on due the sub-par meat quality. The meatball sub here is EXACTLY what you would look for in a proper meatball sub. The meat quality is top notch, and that along with the sauce really brings out a great homemade feel. And of course with a sandwich, you can't overlook the importance of the bun and Firehouse has knocked it out of the park in that regard. It should be noted that all subs are toasted here. They also ensure it's toasted thoroughly so it will take a few minutes for your sub to be finished. Beyond that, they only have a handful of toppings to choose from, and ones that are conducive for a toasted sub - so no lettuce, tomato and others. There are still a few others however, such as bell peppers, jalapenos and more. I wanted to wait for another visit before I gave my review since a meatball sub could be a bit easier for a toasted sub place to pull off. I came in today and ordered the beef brisket sandwich. They describe it as smoked for 16 hours, though obviously it wouldn't be the same as a brisket from a BBQ joint. The brisket is deli-style meat, but their fridge is on full display and you can see that it arrives whole, which means they would slice it fresh. Beyond that, once I received my sandwich and began to eat, it's clear that it's about the highest quality deli meat available. It was apparent from the look and the taste, and even the smoked quality was evident. I brought a co-worker on this visit and she absolutely loved her steak and cheese sandwich. It's all about the quality of the ingredients here which makes the sandwiches great. They are also well-staffed here to manage many customers and they're super-friendly. I'm not sure how much I buy into the firehouse theme or even the fundraising/philanthropy aspect of the business - but when the food is this good it doesn't even matter.
