I had Holy Wiches bookmarked in early January of this year. It took a Yelp experience last month to nudge me into this eatery. I loved the food so much that I came by after work last Wednesday to grab some takeout. I placed my order on Ritual. I was at at Mr Puffs at Dixie and Eglinton. I took the scenic route over to Holy Wiches, avoiding the rush hour madness on the 401. It allowed me enough time for my order to be ready while not killing myself driving over there. This eatery is next door to Gladiator Burger & Steak. I love this burger joint so much. On the other side of Holy Wiches is a gelato store that wasn't as busy this evening as it was when I first visited this eatery on a Sunday afternoon. It's in a plaza with a ton of parking spaces. I walked in and one of the women at the counter recognized me. She had a huge smile on her face. It was nice. I let her know that I had a ritual order. She nodded. I'm glad my mugshot on that app still looks like me today. She found my order and happily handed it to me. I thanked her and indicated that I loved the food so much that I ordered the same thing again. She seemed genuinely pleased. She wished me a great evening. I reciprocated and headed to my car before making my way home. This sandwich was for my lunch the following day. It would be a test to determine if it's equally as yummy a day later. At Holy Wiches, you place your order by following the numbers on the menu: 1. Bread or wrap 2. Protein 3. Toppings 4. Sauces I got a chickwich on sourdough bread, with all toppings, except red onion and fire crunch. I chose lunar sauce, which is a creamy garlic dressing. I also got a Diet Coke. I love how icy cold it is from the fridge. I drank it heading home on an unseasonably hot May day. In the past, I had vixen's lemon elixir, which is lemonade. The lemon elixir was refreshing. However, as a tart lemonade person, I needed more lemon flavour. For normal tastebuds, this drink would suit them nicely. I have dined in before. There are a couple of tables with chairs. There's also bar seating against the wall. There is also a single washroom. It's wheelchair-accessible. It was also nicely maintained. The following day, I lightly toasted my sandwich at home in my toaster oven. Verdict? This sandwich is yummy the following day with a bit of toasting help. I love the chickwich sandwich. My original thought was to switch things up with a different sandwich, but I was yearning for it. The tender morsels of chicken were nicely seasoned. The garlic sauce was subtle. I am a garlic lover, but the subtleness didn't hurt my feelings. The sauce was more creamy side garlicky. The toppings were still fresh and decent. I loved the tomatoes in it the most. My sandwich was oddly not a soggy mess, which I had dreaded. The sourdough is yummy here. It is the most popular bread choice. Each sandwich half felt good when I held it. The filling does tend to fall out of your sandwich. I frankly need a bib, but I was at home eating, so no one cares if I'm wearing my sandwich. The amount of filling that you get in your sandwich is generous. I have dined in and done take out. I'm missing delivery. Perhaps I'll get it delivered to the office next and see how that works. I love Holy Wiches. The sandwiches are yummy and staff are super nice. I'll be back soon for more. I should try the holy cow (beef) sandwich next. (181)

I really like finding hidden gems and Holy Wiches is definitely one of them. The way they work is that you first choose your bread for your sandwich. I like that they have different bread options for their sandwiches; sourdough bread, gourmet baguette and lilith's flatbread. Then, you'll choose the protein. Third step is to choose your hot or cold toppings and the last step is to choose your sauce between Siren, Lunar, damnation and The Vamp Sauce. They also serve bowls and salads. I went with Holy Cow Sandwich from their pre-built sandwiches menu. I chose sourdough for the bread and green lettuce, tomato and Chef's Special Cabbage Slaw for the topping and 7-Spice Aioli for the sauce. They were so kind to let me go in the back and watch the process of making my sandwich. The meat was so tender and deliciously marinated and it was spicy enough for my taste.

I was looking for a sandwich place and online reviews said this place was good so decided to check it out. I had placed my order online and I ordered the half veggie sandwich. You could add a bunch of free toppings and the sandwich came with two sauces - I got the savory tomato spread and the tamarind sauces. Both were really good and were better than I expected. Overall decent place for sandwich and good sauces

Very good sandwich here. Your big sign for the club sandwich for 8.99 drew me in and it was as tasty as it looked. Half of it filled me up and the free lemonade for first time customers was very nice. I would have liked to have seen a more detailed description of the club sandwich online. I has egg and although i dont mind it, i may have preferred without. Window sills had lots of dead flied ...yuck.

Heard so so so many good things about this place so i finally stopped by to try their sandwiches. It did not disappoint. They were huge to start off. Lots of topping and house made sauce. Staff was very patient with me as i was asking for recommendations being my first time here. The sandwiches are best if u dont change anything! P.S. thought long and hard should i even bother keeping elite status. I think a lot of u are on the same boat....

Very tasty sandwiches & bowls in addition to using quality ingredients with a healthy diet in mind. All items on their menu have been approved by a dietitian for a low calorie high nutritious meal. My favorite was the holy cow sandwich. The meat was moist and other ingredients that came with it had lots of flavours. The sour dough bread slices had a nice toasted taste to it. The smash potatoes were a nice side dish to the sandwich. A must try for tasty and healthier bites.

I love the name of this Oakville establishment, the Sandwich Society, however I did not like their…read moresandwiches quite as much. Let me preface by saying that their OG The David sandwiches are not bad. The focaccia bread was nice, and the sauce is solid where they didn't overdo the truffle flavours. What they however overdid was the prosciutto. Sometimes in life, less is more. They just went 'ham' with layers upon layers of what tasted like the cheap San Daniele prosciutto (according to the website they used ones produced by local Niagara farmers), where in parts of the sandwich that didn't have the mozzarella cheese, the sandwich was inedible because it was so salty. By eating the entire sandwich, I would have exceeded the entire week's sodium intake. By the end, I had to throw a quarter of the sandwich out since it was so heavy and salty. Had they invested in higher quality prosciutto and included just two or three layers of it, it would have been a pretty good sandwich. I remember, outside the restaurant they said something along the lines of if someone ate a sandwich from Sandwich Society, he/she would not regret it like their EXs. But after having one, I experienced a certain degree of buyer's remorse. Remember, "we don't eat sandwiches because we are hungry. We eat sandwiches because we are members of a Foodie app called Yelp."

We sat down at one of eight tables before I went up to the counter to place our order. The cashier began entering the order into the cash register beginning with the drinks, followed by the desert selections.... Big mistake! I should have asked my parents to look over the pastry displays and select what they wanted first, before ordering. Embarrassingly, after about 3 long minutes of them walking back & forth viewing each of the pastry displays, the cashier received our picks and then she was able to finalized the payment. Fresh desserts for a reasonable price. (btw, there is no special discount if you order large quantities of an item). The coffee brew was strong the way I like it, but way too strong for my parents. I had to ask our server to dilute it by adding 50% more hot water to their cups. Friendly service. No Wi-Fi. I will definitely come back to pick up other desserts and try their hot sandwiches.

They said they would wait for us to arrive around 7pm even though that is when they close. The Service: The service was exceptional. I think the man working there was the owner because he went above and beyond to accommodate us. I have many food allergies and he let me sub out ingredients to create the perfect meal for myself and he was extremely patient as he answered all of my questions after hours. The Food: We ordered the number 2 and 5 and the employee threw in a sample of the Thai soup for us to try. Thai Soup: The Thai soup was fantastic! It was thick, had a kick of lemon that I love and tasted delicious. We loved it so much we wish we had bought two bowls to go with our meals. #2 Bowl; My boyfriend ordered this dish as is and added tofu as his protein. It came with a peanut dressing, which he said was fantastic. The portion he received was really big and it filled him up. #5 Bowl: This bowl was a Mexican inspired bowl. I subbed out the cheese, and pita chips for more guacamole and edamame. The portion of my bowl was a little smaller than my boyfriends dish but the food was really good. It was really filling and I loved how they could accommodate my diet.
