Absolutely loved this place and we're hoping to squeeze in a second visit because everything from the food to the decor to their staff spectacular! Here what we had; chaat 10/10, highly recommend and if you can handle spice get it spicy! Their gol gappa shots I wanted to love them but they were mid. I am forever on a mission to find authentic Pakistani food because yes, not all South Asian tastes the same. Laari Adda is known to have tasty Pakistani style street food. Pre-covid times, this place would get very busy so I never got the chance to check out the beautiful decor. However, they are open for takeout. I ordered via UberEats. They're open till pretty late so it makes the perfect option for those late night junk food cravings. I decided to order the Kashmiri Chai ($4.51) and Thela Bun Kabab ($9.14). Let's start with the Thela Bun Kabab. It sounded pretty exciting with the egg and the fried patty - similar to what you get at "Thela"s back home. But I was disappointed that it didn't have much chutneys. It was not pressed on a tawa either. It came with lots of fries (the seasoning for the fries was really good) b the burger itself didn't hit the right taste spots. The Kashmiri chai - must say it is one of the best I've tried. It tasted more like chai than boiled milk, but the nuts were lacking. If I pay $4.51 for a drink, I better get all my pistachios. Overall it's OK for the chai, but it's also way too overpriced for what they sell. You're paying for the fancy decor and nice location. Will definitely be back for vibes post COVID, but for now, there are other takeout places that are cheaper and taste better. read more

3.5 I would say this place is consistent with other reviews. Came on a weekday evening with friends to celebrate a birthday- it was a nice, chill environment. Great photo ops too - all the makings of a great restaurant. Got the tandoori naan wrap which came with fries. The prices were very fair - paid less than $15 for my meal. Wasn't too busy on a weekday so was served and seated right away. The food itself was good, but a bit heavy for my liking. The chicken was still seasoned nicely and the naan was fresh and tasty. The masala fries were really good though, but perhaps I'm just not used to heavier fried foods. Nonetheless it was tasty. For dessert we shared a serving of kulfi, it was quite frozen but tasted nice. Service towards the end was a bit slow, But I still enjoyed this spot and would come back. read more

Went to get some tea, was told the wait was 10 mins. Not a problem, got a seat and waited. After about 15 mins I saw a lady come in and order and was handed 4 exactly teas about 5 mins later. This Pakistani restaurant is famous for the Karachi truck art theme and for its delicious street food. Definitely a must visit if you're in the GTA. We had the thali bun kabobs, lahori charga wings, papri chaat, jalapeño chicken cheese rolls, spicy garlic mayo chicken rolls, masala fries, gola ganda, meetha paan, and mango shake. Still a 4 star place on the second go around. Ordered essentially the same food and he fish tenders were still super good. The gol shots were food but not worth the cost. The service was better but they were still a bit weird about giving us more silverware or plates since we were sharing desserts. The Nihari was still really good but super spicy. Literal translation of Laari Adda from Urdu to English means "truck stop." However, the street food/snack food(aka "chaat") found at this truck stop in Mississauga would be a truckers dream. I'm dreaming of that yummy food as I write this review! This hip restaurant exudes ambiance. Decorated in the theme and colors of brightly painted trucks found in Pakistan, with quirky sayings on its walls - a play on words, mural art and strung lighting, the diners enjoy the ethnic artistic expression along with delicious, Pakistani cuisine. The papri chaat, tangy with tamarind sauce, mixed with potatoes, tomatoes, onions, yogurt and topped with crunchy wafers were the best. A must have. For $8 CD, a decent amount, but not cheap. Enough to share with another person, but seriously I could devour the whole thing myself it's so yummy. For this one dish alone, it's worth trying this restaurant. The Lohori fish tenders (like as in from the city of Lahore in Pakistan) were also pretty good. Fried and battered pieces of nicely seasoned fish with a squeeze of lemon made a good appetizer. Not cheap, at $12+. These two dishes are considered appetizers or shareables. The other dish we tried was the oh so famous "butter chicken," commonly found at Pakistani/Indian restaurants these days. This butter chicken ($13 CD) was really quite creamy and buttery, savory, and delicious when eaten with their fresh naan bread. We were curious about the hariaali chicken dish on the menu. In daring spirit, we ordered it and we were not disappointed. Grilled boneless chicken pieces smothered with spices, cilantro, onions and green chili peppers was spicy and very tasty. Around $12CD a bit steep as the portion could have been a bit larger. Finally, we had shared the kulfi dessert (a cold dessert comparable to ice cream) to end our meal. It was more like another Pakistani dessert called barfi in taste. Lots of almonds but cold. Not too excited by this offering. I would definitely go back to this Pakistani restaurant. I've been meaning to go to Laari Adda and so happy that we've finally found the chance. This place is extremely trendy and chic, the service was very good and of course the food was delicious. I loved the creativity of how the food was presented as well. For appetizers we had pani poori, and for dinner we had garlic naan, butter chicken and biryani (all of which I'd recommend!) A lot of people say the wait time is annoying however we went on a Monday night at 7 and had no issues, we were seated right away. Super excited to go back! read more

Went here around 11 pm during the holidayd and it was still quite packed!... However we didn't mind the wait at all! The decor is great! Which had us quite captivated for quite some time..and the staff is polite, friendly and accommodating! Once seated we ordered the gol gappa shots (very intelligent idea!) The chat papri, a falooda and Kashmiri chai. We were told soon after that they had sold out for kashmiri chai and asked us if we would like something else...so we ordered lassi instead.. but much to our surprise 15 minutes later we were served with Kashmiri chai! Absolutely loved the customer service and this special request was definitely a cherry on the top! Overall great ambience, transports one right back to Pakistan..with the small flags swaying and the quirky posters on the walls and the amazing truck art as soon as you walk in! Great service and friendly staff! I really liked the atmosphere. It was hip and modern. This place serves up Pakistani food in a western style dressing, like chapli burger or chicken tandoori wrapped in naan or masala fries. I had the chicken tandoori wrapped in naan and I was excited for it. When I got it, there wrap was over wrapped by paper wrapping and it was sticking to the naan. The naan must have gotten soggy from the condensation of heat and when I took a bite, I was disappointed. The naan was too chewy and hard to eat. I liked the chicken inside, but the chewy and what felt like overheated soggy naan ruined the meal for me. I did enjoy the masala fries, the seasoning was good, but the fries itself was just regular old McCain fries. Would I recommend this? I am not sure, I may have picked the least popular meal, if I had to try again, I should have gone with the chicken Biryani. read more

We went around 720 we were seated by 730 several different servers came by to bring water and ask how we were doing and finally someone came to take our order. After they took our order we did not receive our food till 9 o'clock. We ordered several things off the menu and they came staggered. The prices are pretty expensive for very small portions of street food. Overall the food tasted pretty good. Once my husband and I got home we both had stomach aches all night. This is one of our regular places to go for a quick dinner. The garlic mayo rolls with tangy masala fries are bomb. As are the popular gol gappay shots. Lots of people seem to like the club sandwich. But I found it too ketchupy. Nihari is also very popular but I haven't tried it (not a fan). The servers are hit or miss. I find one or two of the ladies are very inattentive. It is so hard to get their attention to either order or if you need something mid meal. The guy servers are a bit better for some reason. No idea why. But As with most desi places service is not their strength. But where they lack in service they make up for in ambiance aNd flavour. It's not just a pretty place. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I enjoyed the ambiance at Laari Adda, as well as the decor. We took our time taking pictures :) The food was also pretty yummy and very timely. We had to wait for 45 minutes, but they did a good job keeping us updated via text. We ordered Gol Gappay shots, Gola Ganda, the bun Kabab, and the Kulfi Falooda which I especially enjoyed since it was lighter than most faloodas I've had at restaurants. I do recommend one suggestion: to develop a better relationship with the customers. I felt like the waiters were always on the run and didn't even say hi, except for the person at the reception. Disappointed!!! Went with enthusiasm. Left Sad. Laari Adda is a new player in Mississauga , catering Pakistani style street food snacks with a limited number of entree items. (Laari Adda is normally a truck or bus stand where people gather to enjoy street style folk food). N.B.: It has no relationship with its namesake in Pakistan, and may even be encroaching on the Pakistani brand . Such Pakistani places are as yet rare in Canada but seems that the trend is emerging. This was our 2nd visit. First one was a little better. It opens from 5 PM to 12 AM daily, and becomes quite busy on weekends and some week evenings. Place is small and line ups of Generation Z and Millennials may be there and wait may be as long as an hour. It may take at least 30/45 minutes from order to service. And servings may be staggered even if ordered together. We ordered Gol Gappay as starters , which are round , fluffy, crispy shells that can be filled with chickpeas and garnishes and can be further filled with spiced water that is normally knowns as Paani (hence paani puri at many South Asian snack places). These were quiet tasty, and closer to authentic Pakistani taste. Paani is served in shot glasses for each shell. Which is a new take as compared to other places serving the same snack. From the starters we also ordered Garlic French Fries, and Chargha Chicken wings (chicken wings made with spices and the style of Chargha, which in pashto language is chicken and this dish is influenced by streets of Pakistan and Punjab. Normally marinated overnight and served deep fried). Both were decent. At the earlier visit we ordered Nihari( a slow cooked beef shank curry), and Daal Maash ( a special lentil). Both were decent. On this visit we ordered : Bun Kabab (Pakistani style burger), quite decent: Koyla Butter Chicken (Butter chicken with something to do with charcoal), So So ; Haryali Chicken (grilled chicken with may be mint marination) So So. What made this and earlier visit disappointing was the erratic service. There are several young servers who make a show of providing decent service but that may be just a facade. One of my guests ordered a Cold Coffee and requested that it be served first and at least with appetizer. It did not come for at least 45 minutes and came after multiple reminders when the appetizers were over. We ordered 2 Naans , one with butter and one without . I do not eat buttered Naan. Only one naan came with the entree. I could not start as the non buttered Naan did not come till after multiple follow ups and reminders. After the meal I ordered a Kashmiri Chai (Kashmiri style tea). After about 10 minutes of ordering , the server came back to ask if we needed a bill or wanted to order something else. She simply forgot the tea order. It took another 10 minutes for the tea to come which was nothing like a Kashmiri Chai. One of the servers was absolutely rude and her attitude was quite annoying as she screamed the name of Bun Kabab, and gesticulated when we requested her to make space to place the food. The only grace was the attitude of the restaurant manager, whose name began with F. He was quite welcoming at both visits and is probably trying his best when the servers and kitchen are failing him. The place is known to provide board games, but we are not sure about the process. To be objective , I will visit this place once again. Observe any improvement and edit the review or write a follow up. If no change, will not return ever. read more

The pricing of the menu and small gratuity for a group of 7 threw us off. We had a group of 10, and didnt expect it. For a pakistani place in the Mississuaga area this is one of the more expensive ones. At first they brought three of the nine orders at one time and ten minutes later brought the other four meals (biryani). As a family you don't eat until everyone does so, this was something I observed. The order included: Gol Goppa Shots (6 included) Chargha Wings (10 wings) Chicken tikka pizza (a size small) 4 biryanis Butter chicken and rice Bun kabob and masala fries Chicken Tikka 4 butter naans 4 puris parathas Gol Goppa Shots: It was good and was liked, however in comparison to Gerrard street gol gappay, they weren't better. A 3/5. Chargha wings: The wings were small but we're tasty, tasted like fried chicken wings. Flavour is 5/5. Biryani: The black pepper seed and clove flavour in the biryani was overpowering, it was sub-par compared to other biryani places in my opinion however others who had it in our group said it reminded them of home. Wouldn't recommend. The biryani wasn't oily, but was decent. A solid 4/5 Chicken pizza: Friends recalled it's something their mom made at home, basically naan with chicken ketchup and cheese. The pizza was 3.5/5. Bun Kabob and Masala Fries: The kabob was pretty underseasoned, the chaat masala was noticeable in the burger and the fries was lightly sprinkled with chaat masala, I wish it was warmer when it came though. Update: the bun kabob wrecked my stomach, no one else experienced it with their food. (Score 2/5) Chicken Tikka: It was dry rub chicken tikka very balance in flavour not too spicy and not too bland a solid 4/5. read more

Finally tried out this place after the turbaned man on the wall mural had gone viral on social media. This place blew my expectations in terms of quality of food. The portion sizes were great. We ordered a couple sides (gol guppy shots, chicken & cheese rolls and a puri paratha roll to be shared between two people. It was filling for a snack. I'd order a main in you're very hungry.
