Mixed charcoal grill family platter
Michelle F.

This is the best karahi's (Pakistani meat dish eaten with roti breads) in Mississauga! The owner was super friendly and the wait staff made sure we had everything we needed at all times during our meal. The restaurant is located in the Dixie Square shopping strip mall. It has ample parking and the inside was spacious and had room enough for extra large groups. The menu is extensive when it comes to options. The Behari kabobs were totally amazing as was everything on the charcoal family grill platter. The goat karahi and chicken malai boti karahi were off the charts! Fresh, piping hot, quality meat and ingredients in everything! Every single entree had its own unique flavors and was totally different than other items we ordered. The BEST Pakistani dinner entrees are showcased here. We live in Chicago and have been all over. This is a must stop place whenever we are enroute to Toronto and on the way back to the states. It's that good!!! Great job and I'm happy to say this is "My Kolachi" connection and where I want to go to get real desi Pakistani good eats!!

So this place is legit if you are looking for MIND BLOWING PAKISTANI cuisine from different provinces...We ordered GOAT KARAHI and BIHAREE KABOS, TILL NAANS, and KHEER. Goat Karahi : served in a wok like pot, sizzling in large goat bones, meat, ginger, thick stew like concoction you eat it with naan---DAMN GOOD Biharee Kabobs: I CAN GUARENTEE not many of you have had these kabobs, they are on the mushy side, they are not solid in appearance they are OMG ORGASMIC good you can spread them over a rice dish or get at them with a SESAME seed naan Sesame Seed Naan: crispy brown naan with ample amount of white sesame seeds, ghee/oiled up on top....last meal on earth GOOD!! Kheer: sweet dish rice pudding with pistachio, walnuts, almonds chopped in gorgeously made with a creamy tinted hue, someone bring my fat pants out because I am about to lick this bowl till the end and have an ambulance ready because you might just have to pull this decadent plastic spoon out of my teeth!!!!

This is my first time having Pakistani food and it was delish! Our server was extremely polite and explained the entire menu and took my dairy allergy seriously. I ordered the Chicken Karahi and they were kind enough to customize the dish to accommodate my needs. The dish was absolutely delicious! I docked off 1 star because all the water glasses on the tables looked a little dirty. And throughout the night, the restaurant got extremely busy and really loud. It was a bit hard to get our server's attention. Other than that, I would definitely come here again and try the other dishes!

Located in a plaza with A LOT of Middle Eastern/Pakistani joints.

Pakistani grill place may not be the best choice for vegetarians. Aside from the naan, there is literally only 1 veg dish on the menu. The Good: - nice, new and well branded interior - they know how to cook meats - service was polite The Needs Improvement: - open concept + busy atmosphere = very, very loud atmosphere - portions were on the small side. Nihari dish was primarily watery gravy with literally 3 chunks of meat, kabobs (a bit too salty) needed to be longer - although service was polite, it was very inefficient. Servers didn't seem to have "sections", but were rather all over the place! - looong wait times. It took 30mins for food to arrive, after ordering. It took 15mins to get the bill Although it was really busy, I'm not sure what the fuss was about. Maybe if they organised their service better, gave servers specific "sections" to work, sped up their food roll-out, and increased their portions, I'd understand. Otherwise, it was kinda pricey for the portions served!

Saw the mixed reviews but decided to give it a shot. First impression, the place is very nicely decorated. Gives an authentic 'desi' vibe. Service is quick and attentive. Now the main part. The food is amazing. The peshawri karahi is awesome. The 'my kolachi' karahi is full of flavour. Naans came out fresh. The BBQ platter has generous portion. The bihari is tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. The chicken is full of flavour and cooled to perfection. The brown chutney adds the right combination to the food. For people who complained about the noise, newsflash...it's a traditional Karahi joint. People come here to eat, talk and socialize. And have a good time. Great place. Definitely worth another visit.

Second time here and we got the Peshawari Karahi and damnnnn son The Bihari kabab did not come in a sizzler like last time but we were explained why. Will come back to try a third kind of Karahi

This new Pakistani restaurant opened up just one month ago. I was able to check them out last night. We arrived around 7 pm were seated right away. Someone took our order and food came in 25 mins. We ordered the Peshawari karhai which was absolutely delicious. The curry sauce was heavenly I could just dip the freshly baked naan in that sauce and be so content. The bihari kabob was a bit dry and under seasoned. I also received a free kheer because I posted on Instagram which was very nice. Service was very good for a restaurant which is only a month old. Owner very pleasant . We will be going back

Excellent karahi, kabab are soft not like in typical Pakistani restaurant kababs which are like rubber. Bihari chutni and kabab are amazing.

From the outside it didn't look as impressive as other spots I've tried, but once inside, everything was spot on. The space was well organized, the staff changed the grills frequently, and the meats were fresh with marinades done just right. The deep-fried dishes were surprisingly top-notch too, with light crispy batter that beats what many a-la-carte places serve. Even the sushi rolls were much better than I expected from an AYCE place. Every item came out fresh and well-prepped, showing that they actually care about quality here. Honestly, everything felt legit. It's not easy to find an AYCE that keeps both quality and variety at this level. I wasn't a fan of their other location before, but this Mississauga one completely changed my mind. If I'm ever nearby again, this would easily be my first choice for Japanese BBQ.

I'm not sure how much my friend putting us on wait list before arriving helped but we waited about 30 mins before it was our turn. There were 5 of us (4 adults and one toddler) and we were in a booth for four adults. The booths are pretty small considering all the things you can order. Luckily our booth was against a wall with space to put the dishes that didn't fit on the table. Dinner service was very busy as it was difficult to flag down a server to order. Once we ordered, the meats came out very fast. I think the cuts offered at Shinta are high quality for an AYCE restaurant. Currently Shinta offers an order of free A5 wagyu with your dinner. Everyone really enjoyed the Wagyu, even my toddler! The sushi that they offer was also good. I opted to eat less sushi to fill up on the meat. For dessert, the majority of us got the mango pomelo sago. It was refreshing! Overall, I really enjoyed Shinta and will be having my birthday dinner here next month! They also offer a free 6" cake if you reserve at least three days in advance.

The staff is on it -- the moment our plates or cups were empty, they were cleared right away. I also love how well-staffed they are; everything runs so smoothly. The quality of the food was next level. We even tried the plain meat without any seasoning, and it was still packed with flavor. That says a lot! And the restaurant itself? Absolutely beautiful. Next time I'm in Mississauga, this will definitely be one of my first stops!

If you want to cook your own foods via grill, yakiniku, don't mind the crowds, max seating of four per booth, enter the door on your left for Takumi BBQ. If you prefer ramen, no smoke or cooking, open concept, enter the door to the right and around the corner for Takumi Ramen. Both restaurants offer different menu selections. Not allowed to ask for menu items next door because my cousins tried asking in the past and kindly inquired again out of curiosity. We're happy that we choose Takumi Ramen! We're surprised to be the only party of eight dining in for two hours till COB. There's ample seating to join middle tables together. We're able to immerse ourselves in conversations. I ordered the Mini Sukiyaki Combo. I loved their Mini Sukiyaki where you allow all the ingredients to cook for a few minutes, crack egg into the pot, able to control your own temperature settings on your own butane with propane grill. Salad and gyoza were tasty. Majority of my relatives ordered various ramen and/or apps. There was only one employee working, who was attentive, brought beverage and napkin refills, checked to see how we're doing and if there's anything else we needed. Smaller menu selection. Wouldn't mind returning for the quality.

Been here 3 times so it's fair to make a review now. I hate…read morethat they're not AYCE but they're so good, so it's annoying that I have to keep coming back haha. Their cuts of meat are just so good, as well as the sides. We always order multiple rounds of the pickled cucumber and get several refills on the corn and kimchi. The tofu stew that comes with the set is also super comforting and delicious. Don't skip this! Oh it's also annoying that rice is $3 BUT to be fair, they pack this and one bowl is enough for me. I like that it's not plain white rice either. I pretty much tried every beef option but can't remember them all. However on my most recent visit, we ordered: BEEF TENDERLOIN BEEF RIB FINGER MEAT BEEF BONELESS SHORT RIB BEEF SHORT PLATE My favourite was defs the boneless short rib. I loved the marbling on it and it was easy to eat. The tenderloin took FOREVER to cook, but once cooked, it was tender and meaty. Exactly as described. I wouldn't order the short plate again, as it was a little too fatty. All of this including the rice came up to $131 and split between 3 people it was $43 with tax. So not bad at all and it ends up being around the same price as any AYCE bbq spot. Thats why I don't mind coming here cuz of the quality and sides. Service is also super friendly and they come around often asking if you need anything else. I made resos for a Saturday at 12:30 but it wasn't really needed because the place was only about 1/5 full. Even when we left at 2:30 it wasn't packed.

Walking in, we were greeted with a smile. The interior of the restaurant was spacious with a private feel since they had areas sectioned off from one another. We ordered the Japchae (5/5), Boneless Yangnyum Galbi (4/5), Pork Belly (4/5). Japchae was delicious with a hint of smokey flavour to it. The noodles were chewy and complemented well with the savoury flavours of bulgogi. The vegetables added a nice crunch to every bite. The mushrooms added a chewy and fun texture to the dish. Boneless Yangnyum Galbi was so tender. Its marinade was on the sweet side which we weren't really a fan of but we still enjoyed the dish. Pork Belly was also tender. It was thinly sliced which was quite a let down since we typically prefer pork belly sliced a bit thicker. The BBQ we ordered came with two bowls of rice and lettuce (non-refillable), ssamjang and sesame oil with black pepper and salt for dipping, and some side dishes that were refillable: kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumbers and sweet potato. The overall quality of the ingredients, especially the meats, were great. It was pretty telling how much the cooks enjoyed prepping and cooking the dishes. This place is on the pricier side which is reasonable for the quality of their food. The portions are also reasonable for their price-points. I'd come back on a special occasion and/or when I'm craving japchae. The servers we had were attentive, checking in every so often to clear our dishes and change our grills.
