Considering the area, it's the best value-for-taste in regards to Indian (Pakistani) takeout. If you prefer just to eat in the comfort of your own home as opposed to dining in somewhere and paying premium prices + taxes + tips, then Shaheen is for you! I got a Chicken Biryani + 1 small Chicken Karahi + 1 medium veg pakoras in yogurt sauce and it was ~$22. This will feed 3-4ppl. Again, much better deal than an Indian restaurant. Since this is a grocery store + hot table + butcher, the chicken was soo tender. Not old and hard as with other places. Girl behind counter was very friendly! She also stated that dishes are kept at Medium-Spicy, and that wasn't an exaggeration. So if you're sensitive to spices, I'd ask before I buy! But I think this is a good thing as opposed to watered-down food. Again, great "bang for your buck" if you're looking for a Pakistani takeout!

I did not think a franchise would have such rich and spicy, and a tad sweet butter chicken but I was wrong! Karachi Kitchen Dixie location has become my favourite spot in Mississauga for butter chicken and also the cheapest at a whopping $6.25/order. For my lunch today consisting of butter chicken, rice, two spring rolls and a chicken samosa I paid LESS than 15 bucks! And I have left overs for dinner. You really can't go wrong with picking up lunch here through out the work week. My typical call-in takeout order is butter chicken, rice, garlic naan and some snacks. They have these containers of snacks like samosas, spring rolls, fish etc that you can ask for when you pick up your order, I like choosing what I want when I get there and they just add it to my takeout order. One thing though is they don't adjust the curries to your taste (mild/med/hot) as they cook it in one pot. I personally find the butter chicken spiced to my taste (spicy) but I know others may not be a fan of this so may be worth making note of this when you order. And OH I also can't wait to try their $5 biryani which I'v seen raved about! (FYI, the guy that posted the 1 star review about the place and posted photos of it proves he didn't actually go here; this location is takeout only, there are no tables with plates, let alone silver cutlery LOL) Go here!!

I ordered lamb biryani and Butter Chicken. The rice is accompanied with Yougurt Raita and salad and Butter chicken comes with a naan/m and choice of Salad. The biryani was delicious and fresh, full of flavour. The portion size was great. The butter chicken was also flavourful, I was just surprised to see the size of take out container. The naan was fresh and paired well with the curry. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my food and will be back to check some other items.

After placing one's order, it takes about 45 minutes for the food to come out, for whatever reason. Even though the restaurant was less than half full. Beef seekh kababs ($12 CAD = $8.55 USD) - This consisted of seasoned ground beef, onions, and aromatic spices. The kababs were juicy and smokey and tasted amazing! Malai boti ($17 CAD = $12.11 USD) - The chicken here was prepared in a rich, creamy marinade with spices and was literally melting in my mouth when I ate it. Chicken tikka boti boneless ($17 CAD = $12.11 USD) - Marinated in traditional Pakistani spices, the chicken had a smoky and savory taste and the spice profile was more intense as compared to the malai boti. I was surprised at how tender this chicken was and the marinade penetrated the meat really well. Bihari kabab ($19 CAD = $13.53 USD) - These kababs were even more tender then the seekh kababs and were falling apart when I picked them up. It has a bolder and smokier flavor then the seekh kababs Naan ($2.50 CAD = $1.78 USD) - The naan here is pillowy soft and large given the price point and perfect with the kababs. Water bottle ($2 CAD = $1.42 USD) - Unfortunately they don't offer complimentary water here. Overall this is some of the best tasting Pakistani food I have had! The grilled items here are incredible!

TLDR version: horrible dining experience, decent tasting food…read more Let me start by saying that the quality of the food here was great, and very tasty. Unfortunately though, there's more to a dining experience than just the taste of the food and that's where this restaurant falls absolutely flat on their face. Horrible dining experience. First off, the waitresses were completely lifeless, mumbled everything, didn't even have the care to look in your direction while speaking, let alone look at you. Asking things like "what's popular here" didn't really yield any response from them either. In addition to that, the wait time of the food was a bit too much. We were one of only two small tables in the restaurant at the time and had to wait 40 minutes for food that usually wouldn't take anywhere near that long. The quantity itself was a bit on the low side as well. And finally to wrap it up, on a hot summer night, it was boiling inside due to their AC not working. So we had to eat our food literally dripping in sweat.

I was really looking forward to the food based on reviews and ads in other places, but was…read moreextremely disappointed with the taste and quality. I ordered takeout - Chicken Charsi (Bone in) and Beef Bihari Kebab, since these appeared to be the more popular dishes. The Chicken Charsi did not come with much sauce. In fact the sauce was quite oily and the chicken meat itself looked pale and did not have flavour. It certainly didn't look like the photos on the Website and was overpriced for what we received. While the beef was seasoned well with spices, I did not enjoy the soft (almost mushy) texture. Fried onions were not included. Perhaps the onions would have elevated the dish and provide a more aromatic taste. We have leftovers but unfortunately I don't think I could eat this again. The naan was probably the best part of the meal. For some reason, the restaurant telephone number is long distance when calling from Mississauga. Can't comment on service but restaurant decor looked fine.

Located inside the mall, you have to walk past a series of random stores, handful of barbers to get to the food court. There is a decent amount of seating available, but be prepared to wait for a table. Limited sitting for a large family (to sit together). There are several stores offering the same food but Tabaq had the longest line. What I enjoyed was seeing all these women all different ages working, it appeared to be a family business. There was an assembly line to get through the orders quickly. I ordered and received my food fairly quickly. You cat go wrong with a $7.99 nashta. The puri was good. The chick peas were flavourful, the halwa was soft (almost runny) it came paired with raitaa & acchar (pickled mango). The flavour wasn't bad, I didn't find everything to be a little oily, wasn't able to finish it. The chai was good. Overall, for a cheap Pakistani breakfast, I would recommend it!
