Hmmmm, have mixed feelings about this place. There were some things that I liked and some things that I didn't like. Let's start with the good things LOL! I thought that food was relatively good, I ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich Combo with onion rings as the side. The chicken sandwich was crispy but still "juicy" which was pleasant. The onion ring was also really crispy and was done when I ordered it so it was still nice and hot. This location was also very clean and modern looking. For the most part the employees were relatively nice. Now for the downside... I thought it was kind of odd that ordering online/ delivery was a decent amount more expensive since the app that I would have ordered it from already charged a percentage more off of the total bill. Another thing I found strange was that I preferred bottle drinks that time as I didn't mind paying extra for the bottle drinks as on the menu it also said there was bottled drinks but when I asked he said there weren't any bottled drinks while staring at the line behind me. Found it a bit weird. Would I go back? Most likely because I usually study at the Starbucks near that location and like a variety of different lunches whenever I go.

Took some local Canadians to Church's since they had never heard of the US chain. They are avid Popeyes fans and were shocked to see another place do it as well, if not better. We got the 8 piece combo, fries, honey glazed biscuits, and the deluxe chicken sandwich. The fries are definitely better at Popeyes since they are battered and seasoned there. Church's offers crinkle cut similar to what you may find in a cafeteria. As far as chicken goes, I personally have a hard time differentiating Popeyes from Church's but for those who only know one chain, they gladly welcomed a new and subtle difference. If you're a Canadian reading this review then head over to Church's. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I was soooo looking forward to coming here! Had a groupon, and of course, it was p*ssing rain when I made the trek! I hate driving in the rain, especially when it's dark! I have mixed comments. The staff are all incredible, extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you out. Nice decor, and in terms of seating, 2 4 tops, 1 2 top and 4 bar stools. The biscuits were very good. I'm still imagining them..... The macaroni salad was dreadful...Very sweet. They're using miracle whip when they should be using mayo. Also needs salt and herbs. I mean, this ain't rocket science guys! The chicken was ok, nice and crispy, but nowhere as good as Popeye's! The breading had no herbs or seasoning of ANY KIND! At the very least you need salt, onion powder, etc..... I also ordered a burger as I had another groupon. The Mexican burger was ok, although I was disappointed in the use of processed cheese, I expected a cheddar slice! The onion rings were OK, but again the breading had no flavour at all. No salt, no herbs, nothing. And a bit too thick. The cole slaw was pretty disappointing too. No seasoning, herbs etc. Have you guys ever heard of salt, pepper, celery seed, and using mayo instead of cheap, crappy, way-too-sweet miracle whip? I really wanted to try a strawberry shortcake for dessert, but the ice cream machine was DOWN....SERIOUSLY? I'm still imagining them made with those yummy biscuits, covered with ice cream and strawberries..... Sigh... show on that page. I was extremely disappointed to note that they do NO RECYCLING OF ANY KIND..... shameful, given that all of the containers and dishes are paper! No organics either. Owner needs to get recycling started!

Mediocre at best...I've heard so much about church's chicken and I'm a little disappointed. I ordered the Mexicana sandwich which is a regular chicken sandwich with nacho chips inside. It was a big burger but seemingly lacking in flavour. The sliced cheese was placed on top of the chicken piece and remained unmelted. Just a cold square of cheese slapped on the chicken. Would not order again

Food is more like a 3.5. Mexicana Sandwich (sans nacho chips) was pretty good, a touch spicy from the mayo. The "special" sandwiches features a breaded chicken breast while the Classic Chicken Sandwich (the cheaper one) contains a chicken patty. 3.5-4/5 Honey Biscuit was very good, similar to a donut. Manager offered me & my friend a free one as it was our first visit! It was very sweet of her. 5/5 Onion Rings - Batter was too thick, but it was crispy! Maybe a 2.5/5 Coleslaw - Gross. They put lettuce in it and it gives it an "old" taste to it. Not zippy like coleslaw is supposed to be. We added it on top of our sandwiches. 1/5 Restaurant itself is mainly for take-out/quick dine-in. It's pretty small with 4 tables and a small counter. If I was in the area, I may stop by once/year type thing.

As a fried chicken lover (popeyes / KFC ) this place makes possibly the best spicy chicken sandwich. Try the Mexicana sandwhich it is sooo friken good I'm eating it right now and the spices r spicy!!! You may have noticed another chicken place called quik chik - these guys r like a copy of popeyes. Churches Chicken is its own thing , it competes with KFC and POpeys because the flavour and style is different. The sandwhich is huge for the same price as popeyes but seems better quality. I did not mention that this has free pop refills ! Also the daily specials are done RIGHT. We r talking Mondays 4.99 any friken sandwhich . Perfect because popeyes sandwhich deal is on Wednesdays and so is the copy cat quik chik. 4.99 is cheaper than popeyes daily deal and is the right price . I am just so happy this place poped up near me because it's ganna get so popular . They even order on one of the apps (uber eats or just eats or skip the dishes - can't remember but they do it). If you are a spicy chicken sandwhich lover - go her and order the mexicana. Your hunger will thank you and you will b back for more! Fries look like they r McCain fries but actually taste decent . They have other unique sides like mashed potatoes and jalapeños popers. Just eating the poppers and they r like goood stuff good quality.

The Chicken is far better than KFC! The menu is almost identical to KFC. This location just opened and the Grand Opening is on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Very clean restaurant and the staff are friendly. The speed of service is quite good; but the restaurant is still new and not much of traffic. I had had Texas Mexicana as well as a BBQ sandwich combos. Both were mind blowing. The TexMex is made with a spicy Mayo which is quite good on your taste buds. Not soggy and not pasty - if my writing makes sense. The fillings comprise of proper Tomato slices and Onions with Lettuce in a sufficient quantity. Quite the contrast to the Lettuce attacks by KFC and McDonalds. The fries were nicely done with the curly cut. The Restaurant was very clean during both visits. Friendly staff greets you the moment you open the door. The wait times were less than 10mins. In all aspects, better than KFC. And I WAS a KFC fan.

So I got a 2 can dine groupon for 6 chicken tenders w 2 biscuits 2 sides and 2 drinks. They also have daily specials, monday is any chicken burger for 4.99 so I orderesd a tex mex burger. As the sides I got fries which are similar to the crinkle mccain fries nothing special. The chicken tenders are a good size, nice & crispy on the ouside tender on the inside. They dont hve much flavour to them I kind of wish I got spicy instead so theyd at least taste like something. The girl at the cash claimed the groupon doesnt come with sauce for the 6 tenders I got so I had to pay .30 for each sauce seperately plus tax. Scammers. The burger is pretty much one big tender. Its quick thick and again juicy on the inside. Comes w lettuce tomatoes mayo and processed cheese. Not sure why its called tex mex lol. Again not much flavour just major calories in a box. Dont think Ill be back, Ill definitely stick to my hot wings at KFC or anything frm popeyes. The biscuit is yummy though, real sweet and sponge like texture. Would have def got more bisquits as my sides if I knew.

I'm also probably just a weakling and shouldn't have forced myself to eat all that. Anyways, I have only heard good things about firehouse subs forever. Surprisingly, my bf has tried it before I have and he too raves about them. I finally had a chance to try a few bites from my friends' subs as they had ordered some through skip the dishes. I was blown away. I tried a few bites of the Italian and the Steak and Cheese and it was sooooo good. Also, for a bootleg Philly cheesesteak, which I know they do not claim to be, it was pretty good!! So a week later I was super craving my own and could not stop thinking about it. Thankfully for me, there's one an 8 minute drive away. Since I had such a good experience with the Italian that's what I decided to order. A medium. Also I had no idea you could add certain extra toppings at no fee, until my gf started ordering them lol next time. Anyways, somehow my friend's sub last week tasted so much better and it was delivery! Lol. Maybe it's because I got whole wheat. I need to make note to stick to white bread next time. The sub was still super tasty, packed with meat and fresh ingredients. I love their buns. They're the perfect softness. I hate buns that are hard and hurt my gums. Ya I'm sounding hella old. I'm super impressed with these subs and it's literally just a sub but I find myself craving them all the time! I can't wait to try all the flavours!

New restaurants often receive lots of hype, but it's not too often a restaurant chain does…read more However, word of Firehouse Subs has been making quite a bit of noise since they've entered the GTA market in the last year or so. Hype is great to generate buzz, but it can also lead to unrealistic expectations. I'm happy to report that Firehouse has completely met and even surpassed my high expectations. I'd heard great things about their meatball sub, so I went with that on my first visit. I had a couple years as a teenager loving meatball subs at Subway, but have since largely moved on due the sub-par meat quality. The meatball sub here is EXACTLY what you would look for in a proper meatball sub. The meat quality is top notch, and that along with the sauce really brings out a great homemade feel. And of course with a sandwich, you can't overlook the importance of the bun and Firehouse has knocked it out of the park in that regard. It should be noted that all subs are toasted here. They also ensure it's toasted thoroughly so it will take a few minutes for your sub to be finished. Beyond that, they only have a handful of toppings to choose from, and ones that are conducive for a toasted sub - so no lettuce, tomato and others. There are still a few others however, such as bell peppers, jalapenos and more. I wanted to wait for another visit before I gave my review since a meatball sub could be a bit easier for a toasted sub place to pull off. I came in today and ordered the beef brisket sandwich. They describe it as smoked for 16 hours, though obviously it wouldn't be the same as a brisket from a BBQ joint. The brisket is deli-style meat, but their fridge is on full display and you can see that it arrives whole, which means they would slice it fresh. Beyond that, once I received my sandwich and began to eat, it's clear that it's about the highest quality deli meat available. It was apparent from the look and the taste, and even the smoked quality was evident. I brought a co-worker on this visit and she absolutely loved her steak and cheese sandwich. It's all about the quality of the ingredients here which makes the sandwiches great. They are also well-staffed here to manage many customers and they're super-friendly. I'm not sure how much I buy into the firehouse theme or even the fundraising/philanthropy aspect of the business - but when the food is this good it doesn't even matter.

For us it worth the drive to Brampton to pickup some food. We were delivering a wide variety of foods for an important family event and our goal was to pick up 20 different items. We ended up picking close to 40'items. The onion pakoras (20/10, yes not a typo), masala Idli, thaali with tamarind rice or lemon rice (both 10/10 and a slight up charge), all the veg curries, medu vadas, spinach medu vadas, samosas, fritters, stuffed breads, and oh those desserts - some mango flavoured, coconut and more. And the best almost all of things that we bought happened to be Vegan! There was raita and some dahi wadas that had yogurt. And get these, we did not buy masala dosas, regular idlis, puttus, noodles and pasta (yes they had pasta, probably Tamil or Sri Lankan style) and so much more. Wonder how many times I will have to make a trip to try everything here.

Now issue is the dosa became soggy due to the steam. Longer it stayed wrapped more soggy it got. Would be ideal that they're wrapped just at collection and sambhar is given hot in container. That way can unwrap and eat straight away. Samosa and spring roll small baby sized. I will say though samosa filling was tasty as was the dosa filling. In fact the dosa was full! I rated at 3 originally but gave 4 given the amount of filling in the dosa - I look forward to restaurant opening so I can eat their dosa there and then. Will revisit!
