So the wife and I just brought our son to have a late lunch and was more then disappointed to find that when my food came out not only was there a greasy black hair in my wife's food, but when I looked to the kitchen for answers it was in fact the Manager who was tending the Flat top grill with no form of hair net on what so ever. In fact only one of the members of the kitchen staff had a hair net on. Without even finishing a quarter of our meal we quickly walked up to the counter payed full price for our food and hoping to give the establishment one last chance to set things straight we hoped someone would at least ask us how our meal was. Won't eat here again. Just went through the drive through and waited an usually long amount of time for an old hamburger and greasy/oily cold fries. I just called the restaurant and the manager insisted everything is freshly and made to order. Not this time- looks like they peeled back an old burger and threw in the extras that I asked for I knew it was some old moldy burger sitting there because the cheese was melted in place meaning it was cold but had that melted shape of the hamburger- like it was sitting out for a while. Well below the Steak & Shake in Fort Pierce. Ordered a double cheeseburger and they came out and said they were out of provolone. I just assumed they'd use American cheese. Newish waiter and I never ordered provolone. The burger patties were burnt around the edges and thinner than many business cards. The chocolate milkshake was good though, with fewer ice crystals than the one I had in Fort Pierce. Unless you're really hungry, I'd skip this place in favor of a place that serves decent food. read more

We came here on the 4th of July after eating lunch the day before at the Fort Pierce Steak n Shake, which was slow and dirty and the food did not taste like Steak n Shake. This Port St Lucie franchise is well run, with sufficient staff, and it was clean. We were seated promptly, our server was courteous and efficient, and we got our food quickly. It was delicious. This place obviously doesn't need more negative reviews. There's already enough . 3 stars is being a bit generous, but there were some good things about this place (OK, only one). We were seated at a booth that was just "wiped down". The table top was totally wet and nasty. Had to ask the waitress to clean the top. Wife got the regular single burger which comes with fries. I ordered the butter buger which comes with fries. Also ordered a side of onion rings. I did not receive the fries with my order. Also ordered a vanilla shake. My burger was nothing special by any means, and really didn't like the taste or the texture (kind of mushy). The onion rings were some of the worst things I ever had. Greasy, mushy, and a taste of plastic cooked in old oil. Tried the fries, again, nothing special - by any means. The shake was very good. Went in the Men's restroom to wash my hands. Nasty in there. Dirty, un-kept. I have to say, the total bill was cheap @ $12.50, but I will never set foot in this place again. I'd much rather go to Culver's and spend a little more. Their quality is 10 times better. * Oh, by the way, I went on the Steak&Shake corporate web site and let them know the onion rings sucked. They sent me back an email thanking me for the compliment. This is probably the worst place I have ever worked at in my life. The employees go into work drunk high if not hangover & it is completely acceptable. They are always short staffed. Visited today, tried to eat here but as a group of 8 people in front of me a seat the lady in the group asked the hostess if they could be seated at the two booths by the drink serving area. After the "hostess" conferred with the other waitress for three minutes the hostess came back and informed the group that they could not sit there because the tables were in different sections and the waitress can not "share" tables. However she would write their name down for another booth or table. The hostess then offered me the same booth, I refused and complained to the manager about how the others were treated and all he said was "I guess they need some training". The party of 8 left and so did I and I had a good chicken dinner at the nearby KFC. The manager made no attempt to talk to me or the other party. I guess they have enough business. read more

When I asked if it was okay to order food for pick up I was responded to by a male with "ooooook.... we have a drive through for a reason and it's empty right now" in an extremely rude tone. When I tried to speak again I was interrupted and told " I could take your order but I really don't want to especially at this time because people call and never pick the orders up! I don't know if your familiar with this type of business but this is something we just can't stand doing" . I just got off work and was calling to pick and order up on my way home... I am very familiar with restaurant and customer service which is why I asked if ordering to-go was okay.. I can completely understand if he said we can't do that and wouldn't mind going through the drive through but the way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional and rude . I wish I knew this man's name because with that attitude he shouldn't even be in a customer service industry.
