I ordered the flaky white Reuben side of the creole rice and then we ordered 10 wings and clam chowder. All the food was very good pre-rice was it wasn't bad but it wasn't the best but the wings were amazing. The clam chowder is out of this world and my sandwich is really good too service. Here is good. Our waiter was very nice and we sat outside so the ambience is nice. they have fans blowing. It's cool. It was nice. Just watch out for the flies. I've passed this place 1000 times. What a mistake! What a cute restaurant with an island vibe. The service is fantastic. The food is terrific too. We had the fish sandwich and it was gigantic and delicious. The fries were smoking hot and fabulous, and I'm not a waffle fry fan. The patio is adorable. The indoor dining room is cute and the a/c cranks out cold air. There's a full bar with a limited wine list. We won't pass it a another 1000 times ever again. read more

Was drawn to this cute little restaurant by its look. Tucked under palm trees with a really cool patio in the back and beach patio on the side. They played a great beach type selection of music. Unfortunately, because they were serving a private party, we weren't able to get seated in the back patio. Instead we chose the side patio which is cute but noisy from the U.S. 1 traffic. We started our dinner by sharing a bowl of the lobster bisque. Couldn't find any lobster but the soup was thick and tasty. We then moved on to the fried shrimp and the fried clam dinners. The shrimp was the winner here but neither dish was special. Not bad but simply not special. The waffle fries side was a different twist. We also tried Cajun rice and black beans. All were ok but nothing special. Service was excellent with just the right attention. If you're interested in a cool setting and great music and are ok with simply ok food you'll enjoy this place. read more

Friday night - prime time. party of 2 seated immediately . very chill & & casual place . Bright & festive decorations - beach vibes. A fairly extensive menu. A special on the board caught my eye as we walked In . I got blackened chicken breast ( 2 huge flattened pieces) cooked perfectly- (nothing worse than dry chicken) So that was a win right off the bat. Also . it came w/2 sides . delicious onion rings & a heaping amount of fresh veggies that included green & yellow zucchini & carrots - ( some onion & red pepper) Loved it. My friend also ordered a "special" , steak with lobster & a cream sauce ( comes on top ) but he requested it on the side . his 2 sides were coleslaw & potatoe salad. He enjoyed his dinner as well. Our waiter was Dakota who was very sweet & answered a few questions about what was in what, he was a good sport and put up with our NY antics. I clearly ordered the wrong thing & when I asked about it he said there were 2 blackened chicken dishes . He apologized profusely, and it was totally my fault but Dakota went above & beyond to fix it. IHe offered to exchange it for the "correct " special , or give me another soda , or anything else I preferred . He definetley did his job & didi it well. I Dakota is an asset to this place. What a cool, casual spot to have a great lunch. The restaurant reminded me of being in the Keys. The decorations and atmosphere made it possible. I enjoyed my lunch here. The staff was friendly and the food service super fast. I was happy. I got the clam chowder and loved it. It tasted great and it was nice and crunchy. I then ordered the Crunchy Fish Platter. This was a big meal. The fish filets were a good size. It came with two sides. The onion rings were really good, everything was very good. The restaurant is cute inside. It has weekly specials and it is kid friendly. It is divided into three sections. One in the back, one inside air-conditioned with a bar, and one area open in the front. The front area has a kid's mini golf area. The atmosphere is great here. The restaurant had a big parking lot. The place was easy to find. I had a good meal and I liked the place. read more

Dune Dog used to be pet friendly (they even had a five-bone rating on "Bring Fido" app) but they no longer allow pets on the patio as they once did. We used to enjoy taking our little pooch with us and he'd just lounge under the table. Pet lovers will understand this, but I realize many people are not, so I'm sure that's why Dune Dog changed the policy. Food there is pretty good. Very casual - nothing fancy about it - just a comfortable beach style spot. This would actually be a great restaurant to have on a water front but this particular location is quite land-locked on a busy road. They really need to install some insect protection on both front and back patios. Overall, generally a good restaurant. read more

I've been here a couple of times and the food is pretty consistent. Not sure it's the highest quality of seafood but it's pretty tasty! I love how they always have specials, that's the menu I usually order off of. The portions are pretty large, especially the kids fish fingers! We had lunch here. We sat inside as it was so hot the day we came here, and they were busy with every seat taken at every table. When we left, we noticed that the outside tiki area in the back was also filled with patrons. There is a large convenient parking lot right outside the free-standing building. The signs on the side of the restaurant and out front are hard to miss. As hot dogs are their specialty that is what we ordered. They were promoting their fried fish, however, which turned out to be Swai (Vietnamese catfish) which the server inaccurately described as "like grouper"(!). My husband had their Chicago dog topped with all sorts of stuff along with a side of waffle fries. it was okay. The fries were good. I had their chili dog. We both got the larger/longer hot dog. The menu says they are all beef. I asked for my hot dog to be well done and it was split on the grill -- which was exactly like I prefer it done. The hot dogs were fine. Service was acceptable although the gal stopped to have a long discussion (about her tattoos) with another table that seemed to take forever. In Stuart for a pre-holiday weekend and had to stop for a hot dog. We were among the first diners before lunch crowd started to arrive, so we had made our selections and enjoyed our soft drink beverages while we waited. Stopped in for an impromptu lunch with my wife and daughter and we realized we should have brought our son too because he would have enjoyed the putt putt. We sat outside on a rainy day and ended up having to go to the other side because the tiki side leaked really bad but I'm glad we stayed because we had great service and great food. The food came out quickly and everything was fantastic. We ordered a kids meal for my 18 month old and she devoured the fries (but decided on my Mahi). We'll definitely be brining our son next time! First time to the Stuart location. Bellied up to the bar overlooking Fraziers Creek. The lush landscaping and tiki roof walled away the outside world and is an alcove of privacy. I ordered a cold draft beer and a Chicago hot dog. Their take on this classic is nothing close to an original; a foot long beef dog ($6.39) was cradled by a slice of buttered toast and topped with a couple dill pickle slices, celery salt and diced tomatoes and onions. While it was ok as some sort of a hot dog, I was disappointed it lacked the key ingredients for a Chicago dog. My wife's fried clam dinner ($16.90) satisfied a craving but was nothing over the top. Comes with a choice of two sides. The black beans, though, were rich and delicious. The cole slaw was good. Wait staff were friendly and responsive. A mistake I made was a thinking Dune Dog Cafe was just a hot dog joint. One look at the outside bar and menu, I knew Dune Dog was a lot more. We came for hot dogs so that is what we ordered. I had the "foot long" which was split and perfectly grilled. I added onion rings. My wife had a regular dog. Our dogs had a really nice flavor-the server said their dogs are made using their own formula not not just purchased from some food wholesaler. I really like the fact they grill their dogs when so many places simply steam them. From wings to burgers, salads, ribs and seafood-Dune Dog has it all in a nice, casual atmosphere. We were driving around the area to find a place for a light meal that was dog friendly. (We were visiting for the long holiday weekend) We were lucky to have stumbled upon the Dune Dog Cafe. All of their seating is outside but covered and quite comfortable. The local vibe was fantastic. We live in a coastal town a little further north. It is tough to find a real local place that is not too touristy - Dune Dog knocked it out of the park! We ordered the Thai chili wings. They are probably the best we have ever had! My husband had the Great White Reuben and I had the Gorgonzola Salad with Shrimp. The pineapple margarita... KelCee was so friendly and amazingly kept up with the bar all by herself Even the bus person came by to check on us. We so enjoyed our visit. The mozzarella sticks were probably one of the best I've had- the red sauce to dip was out of this world - it wasn't like regular marinara! It had onions and other fresh veggies and spices in it. On two different visits, had the chili dog, and taco salad. The chili needed more spice and heat in both visits, or maybe the couple offer jalapeños. Had a side of onion rings, which, more than likely we're not homemade. Hot, but bland. Hubby had the coconut shrimp dinner. 10 average size coconut shrimp, served with two sides of rice and coleslaw. We were looking for a causal, affordable place to eat while visiting Stuart. This place came up on my Yelp search and we liked the menu. The menu has something for everyone! And it's really affordable. We tried a whole bunch of things and everything was tasty! The ribs were really a hit and I would recommend this if you are having a hard time deciding what to get. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. A simple bbQ sauce atop that wasn't over the top or drowning the slab of meat. You could actually taste the quality of the meat. I didn't really care for the clam chowder. It had too much of a bacon flavor that took over any other taste. The crunchy fish was also really good! It was seat yourself on a Friday evening and there were actually plenty of seats open. Most of it is "open-air" seating so it's all outside under the roof. Kind of a cool concept! This place is just fun! Awesome outdoor space, plenty of fans going and covered tables. It's relaxing for a couple, a family, even has a Popstroke little area to play for the kids. Nostalgic kick for sure. Used to come here on vacation when I was younger so I may be a little bias. You get the option to sit inside or out and it really captures the costal vibe. Stopped in recently on Monday and it was Rib-o-rama. All you can eat ribs with two sides. I can't say I got them before as I usually stick to hot dogs or burgers and a shake. I am glad I branched out though because they were very tasty, the sauce is just right and not killer sweet either. Would definitely recommend trying to take advantage of that deal on a Monday! My mother got the taco salad which was topped with their signature chilly. Also a tasty bite. Servers were nice, even after bringing a 5th tray of ribs out!
