Nostalgic kick for sure. Used to come here on vacation when I was younger so I may be a little bias. You get the option to sit inside or out and it really captures the costal vibe. Stopped in recently on Monday and it was Rib-o-rama. All you can eat ribs with two sides. I can't say I got them before as I usually stick to hot dogs or burgers and a shake. I am glad I branched out though because they were very tasty, the sauce is just right and not killer sweet either. Would definitely recommend trying to take advantage of that deal on a Monday! My mother got the taco salad which was topped with their signature chilly. Also a tasty bite. Servers were nice, even after bringing a 5th tray of ribs out! I really don't like to leave a restaurant a bad review but I think other people need to know. I ordered the mahi-mahi fish tacos today which were two tiny tacos on 6 inch flour tortillas at $13.95. Each taco had a one and 1/2" x 2" piece of fish only. There were no sides and again these tiny tacos were $13.95. They were filled with a lukewarm mayonnaise slaw and topped with a large amount of what they call jalapeño cream. A sweet tea was $3.69. On the recommendation of a friend we tried Dune Dog Cafe. We have passed this place many times but we were not sure what kind of place it was. We went on Tuesday. They have specials during the week. Tuesday is 2 dinners for $25.99. It's off their favorites menu but they give you a separate menu to chose from. We chose fish and chips and fried clam strips. Each dinner comes with your choice of 2 sides. I had the clam strips with coleslaw and waffle fries. The portions are big. The clam were fried perfectly and the slaw and fries were good. My husband ordered the fish and he chose coleslaw and corn on the cob. He had two huge pieces of fish. He said this will be his go to place for fish from now on. The service was very good. The restaurant has three parts. They have what I call an inside outside in the front where we ate. Regular tables and they have roll up plastic screening around to keep it warmer and to protect from rain. The middle is fully enclosed by glass. We went for the lobster special on a Thursday night. On line menu indicated market price for a 1.25lb lobster with two sides. Market price was $38. If you choose a side salad as a side, that counts as two sides. The salad was served with a plastic for and packaged dressing. The lobsters were pre cracked and came with real utensils. Service was pretty quick. House Chardonnay was $7. It didn't pair well with the buttery lobster (it was an inexpensive sweet Chardonnay). We sat outside surrounded by two large parties with kids, so it was a bit chaotic with kids running around. $115 with tax and tip. For us, New England Seafood in Jensen beach is a much better option for lobster. read more

Come here, eat, drink and be merry and thank me later. Service: AMAZING! We were in town for the Babe Ruth World Series and we wanted to have a team dinner night. We had a total of 45 people! I called Dune Dog dog first and was told they don't take reservations but to call back about an hour before we wanted to be sat and they would do what they could. I called several other places and no one was even willing to accommodate us. We called again about an hour or so before we planned on arriving and spoke to Ethan. He was more than willing to make it work and gave us the entire outside patio. Tables were ready and servers were assigned and we were sat immediately. They had it well organized and everything came out efficiently. Food was quick and all came out relatively together (for 45 people!). Brandon and Matt were our servers and they were ON IT! We ordered a drink, turned, and POOF, drink magically appeared! Anything we needed and they were on it! Best service hands down. Atmosphere: Cute with a mini putt putt, lush landscaping, welcoming and open. Not the biggest place but they made the most of the space they have! Your typical tourist trap of a restaurant that is just like any other in Florida. The atmosphere is full of funny signs and bright T-Shirts for sale. The staff is mostly young high school and college students. The place was packed with families and anyone on vacation. All the said, the food was surprisingly tasty. The clam chowder was very good and the captains platter was large. The platter had a less than impressive presentation and the portion looked smaller than it was. It was basically all thrown on a plate with the thought of getting it out quickly. It took a little while for it to arrive and our waitress apologized repeatedly. Our server was fantastic and took great care of us. The one weird thing was when she set down my copilots lunch and she grabbed his fork to open the sandwich to check if the cheese was on it.. it wasn't and she took it back to get it fixed. We laughed and thought it was a strange situation but she was determined for his order to be correct. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I am so glad I did. They have a Tuesday specials where you get two complete dinners for 25.99. We ordered the half slab baby's back ribs with coke slaw and grilled vegetables and the dolphin blackened filet dinner. Both were amazing. The baby back ribs were so good. The meat just fell off the bone. The coleslaw is homemade everyday and it was sweet and tart (amazing). The grilled veggies were plentiful and delicious. The blackened dolphin was delicious. It was super fresh and flaky. I could not finish it all. There fish and chips also looked incredible. The atmosphere is fun and very chill. The tables are all outside picnic bench type eating. We got together with some friends for an early bite and cocktails and having never been to a Dune Dog, well, here we are. We sat outside on this beautiful night, our Server was delightful and his enthusiasm was annoyingly infectious-- I want what he's having! Then a few families arrived and it was as if kids were being manufactured in the parking lot-- they were everywhere and became part of the entertainment-- playing golf on the putting green, running around without a care and getting along with everyone . It was rather fun to be dragged back to your childhood and all the games you played and have forgotten-- the world needs a lot more kids-- and we just might get there because the girls outnumbered the boys 4 to 1. As for food, I had the Chicago foot long dog, which came with a trailer or toppings. My wife had the crispy fish which were the size of snow shoes and delicious. You have a choice to sit outdoors or indoors, which we sat outdoors. I had the lobster bisque and blackened shrimp with rice and coleslaw with a shared appetizer of fried clams. It was very good with the exception of the rice which was dry. My husband had the Fisherman's Platter with black beans and coleslaw, which I tasted and it was excellent except for the rice. He topped the rice with some of the black bean soup and it made all the difference. Nice staff and food came out in a timely manner. Wish we lived closer as I'd love to try the burgers and hotdogs. Aside from the generous portions, the two entrées for the price of one on Tuesdays outside seating under a large Tiki Hut and inside air-conditioned, but the building is designed to look like you're still in a tiki hut the prices are so fair. First off i just want to say we had a very friendly server and the food that made it to our table was great!! Last night 10/26 a group of 14 of us went to dinner we sat outside. I got the Southwest Dogs chili with cheese and onion rings, folks had the lobster dinner and fried shrimp dinner. I think the kitchen got overwhelmed because the food came out haphazard one of my dogs with the onion rings then 20 minutes later the other dog showed up. My dads onion rings were way over done and three of the dinners in the middle of our table showed up like 30 minutes after all the rest of the food and one of the Rubins never showed. But i think one of the major issues is something called the "Stuart" fee on our check it was almost $5.00 with only 3 of us on the check no explanation just a fee.
