I had a really rough day, had literally nothing but water all day and I finally have an opportunity to eat and I go here. I ordered and mentioned no pickles plz and she reads back the order saying I want pickles. I say sorry but it's no pickles on any of our burgers. She says it will say pickles on the receipt but she will be absolutely sure to tell the cooks verbally "no pickles" ... ...well we get home and everything has about 4 slices of pickles each. Don't go to this disappointing location. The crew on schedule 10/25/2022 at about 7:15 pm is incompetent to even take an order at fast food. I was literally the only vehicle on an empty night. After starving all day and working hard, thinking I deserved something great, this was a major disappointment and it will stay with me. It was my last night in an area with a Steak & Shake, and only got halfway through my meal before my stomach got irritated from all the vinegar acid in the pickle juice that stayed on my burger

First of, I'll say that the food and shake were good. Steak 'n Shake is one of my favorite franchises. Their half priced happy hour, and kids meal prices are some of the lowest around. It's an actual restaurant. You also have the choice to order through the drive thru, or you can order at the counter. We chose to dine in. It was less than an enjoyable experience from the start. One of the young waitresses was scolding our waitress, literally right in front of us. It was so awkward! It didn't end then, she proceeded to scold the cooks in the back, from the food window, also right in front of us. Girl, you're like 18 years old, you got a lot of learning to do yourself! When she started yelling at the manager, my husband about lost it. Instead, he motioned for the manager to approach and he shared our opinion with him. He said they were "working with her on this ongoing issue". Yikes. Are employees that hard to come by? I ordered the double cheese burger and fries, which were great. Even if they were the best burger and fries I've ever had, I wouldn't go back simply because of the awkwardness and disrespect.

Their idea of a burger with everything on it.

Stopped by for the first time to try out steak n shake. Ordered 3 single burgers with everything on them. THIS is their idea of a burger with everything on it. A sliver of onion and a slimy wilted green thing which might be week old lettuce they fished out of their garbage can put back. No pride what so ever in their food or customer service

So i took my children in for dinner thinking hey it's Sunday so the baby could get his own meal, because online it says a free kids meal with every 9.00 spent. When i asked about it one of the grill workers say that's corporate and Then i show the online and address attached and he then said oh we stopped that with covid. Funny how his answer changed twice when i showed and read the address off. They would not honor the online special.

After losing our order this is what was given to me. It wasn't even what I would call a burger as it was rock hard and cold.

If you're on the hunt for the best Scotch eggs around, this place is an absolute must. We…read moreunexpectedly went on a scotch egg tour this week. I will not drag the competition, but Dublin's Pass was the clear winner. I won't use specifics, but you get so much more bang for your buck, purely from a financial aspect. Let me first say, the eggs arrive on a plate with a light breading that adds the perfect balance of crunch yet balanced with the soft egg. All brought to you with a mustard that is the perfect combination of pickled veg and punchy mustard. The meat was cooked perfectly. The combination between the meat, egg and mustard marry one another beautifully to lend to a flavor roller coaster in your mouth. What really sets these Scotch eggs apart is the attention to detail. They taste like they are meant for a flavor rollercoaster. Each element feels intentional. Whether you're a longtime Scotch egg lover or trying one for the first time, this restaurant sets the bar high. Simply put: these are the Scotch eggs other places should be aspiring. Eggs aside, we also had an order of the boneless wings. Not a hard thing to get right, but we had roasted garlic parmesan with garlic aioli, to die for. I am from out of town, and this place is absolutely a must. It will never not be on to do list.

LOUD AF on a Tuesday night with incredibly slow service…read more I like to eat in local places while we're on the road. Read about this place being historic with a beautiful bar and lovely tin ceiling. And that is all true. Walked in and could not believe how loud the single singer with an acoustic guitar was. There was a sound engineer, working a board, so he must've thought that level was OK. But you could not have a conversation at all. I was wishing for earplugs. When we first stepped in, I considered just looking at the carved mahogany bar and going somewhere else. But, we figured it should be fast and we could endure the cacophony for a short time. We were so wrong about it being fast. There was only one wait staff working that night, and she was also behind the bar. When she finally moseys over to us, she admitted she had forgotten all about us. She then took our drink order, and the drinks came quickly. But then she literally never came back to take a food order. Watched her go to all the other tables, watched her clean off the bar, watched her answer a phone call for a takeout order, and then I finally went up to the bar and asked her if we could put in a food order. Once the food was ordered it came out quickly. My husband's smashburger and candied pecan salad were both really delicious. I am a sucker for a local food item whenever I see it on the menu, and I made the mistake of ordering the cashew chicken poutine. The cashew sauce had zero flavor and was just overly salty. The chicken was fried very tough. At least the cheese curds were good. But I barely ate any of it. Nothing but regret about this choice.
