Really cool place. Almost two weeks after the opening and it's still packed. They are fast moving people in and out though. The menu is kind of simple but, really good. Kind of the greasy spoon old fashion soda shop which is what I think they were going for so this is good, right? Anyway, the staff is really friendly and even though they were super busy they still managed to get your food out pretty quick. We will defiantly be back but may wait for a few more weeks until the crowd thins out a bit. read more

Quick service--great food. That is all you could want in a quick serve restaurant. Very clean surroundings, I enjoy sitting at the counter and watching the meals prepared-- well orchestrated kitchen. Every time I have gone to this location it has been busy but it seemed everyone was getting the same great service I was. Get the real banana shake or the real strawberry shake--great! The food is prepared when it is ordered and therefore it will take awhile for it to come out of the kitchen. I don't mind waiting for my order. A great value. Website says business opens at 6 am. Called to verify time because the parking lot was empty. The worker that answered the phone was rude. I was told the business did not open until 11 am. My wife and I went to Steak 'n Shake after not having been in some time. We were surprised by the changes, such as only ordering from a kiosk. I was wondering what else might have changed. I should not have worried! If anything, the food was far superior to what we had had before! My wife had the garlic butter burger, and it was soaked in a luscious garlic sauce. I had my usual, a chili five way. The portions were larger than before, particularly the cheese fries--much bigger than before, and with shredded cheese as well as the cheese sauce. If that wasn't enough, I ordered a peanut butter shake, and it was fantastic. Rich, thick, and full of real peanut butter. I have to say that we were wonderfully surprised and happy with the food and drinks we got there today. Horrible horrible horrible!!!! We went for the milkshakes - ordered 2 smalls - one butterfinger and one Nutella. We got to the window to be told they were out of butterfinger. We said ok m&m is fine. They apparently had the shake sitting on the counter just waiting for us to tell them an alternative bc we were very quickly given the shakes. The m&m shake (the replacement for the butterfinger shake) was almost completely melted. It was almost water with m&ms at the bottom. The Nutella shake just tasted weird to me. Ordered 2 garlic burgers with crispy unions and fries, my girlfriend checked one of the burgers to make sure it was right, and it was. So she didn't check the other one. We drove 45 minutes to get it, we drive home and when we check it, only one of the burgers was right. The other one was just bread meat and caramelized unions, which is not what we ordered at all. If I could give 0 stars I would. This location was packed at open. So we waited until the crowd died down and they had all the kinks worked out. Apparently 6 months was not long enough. Our waitress was one of the worst I have very seen. Every person at our table was out of drink for at least 15 minutes before she asked if we needed refills then she forgot to bring the drinks to us. We came back after much hesitation and have done so several times since my first review. I must say the food has improve a good bit. And the food is also very well priced. It's hard to beat their prices. I do wish the hamburger patties were a little thicker, but they are still good. The customer service improved a slight bit not much, bust they are normally busy when we are there. The only thing stopping this place from being 4 stars on yelp is the fact that there is no where to stand or sit while you wait on a table. With a toddler that gets kind of frustrating because it's such a small area and they won't to be able to move around. They have a really good variety of milk shakes ! We were driving through and decided to stop. It was busy upon arrival, but the staff was quick to greet and get some tables cleared and cleaned for 15 of us. Our server was fantastic! I ordered the Royale which comes with bacon, cheese, fried egg, and your usual toppings. Doesn't come with condiments, so I asked for mayo on the side. I ordered the Parmesan fries on our servers recommendation. My oldest ordered the portobello burger with Cajun fries. The kids all ordered different kids meals. No meal comes with drinks, not even the kids meal just so you know. TJ enjoyed the hotdog (he hated the fries) Elijah liked the burger, Aniyla didn't like the corn dog nuggets. Everyone agreed that the best thing was my Parmesan fries. Ty loved his portobello burger. My burger was just blah.. would've been better had the egg not been cooked to death. The whole point of the fried egg is for the creamy yolk. Yeah.. wasn't happening. It was waaaaay overcooked. We had a birthday cake shake and a KitKat Shake. Both were good. 3 votes for the KitKat 2 for the birthday cake shake. Service was extremely slow. Forget about refills. I asked for mayo on the side. I've always loved Steak 'n Shake but so far this place has been very disappointing. My first trip there resulted in them messing up my order (after waiting 30 minutes in the drive through). They even gave me the wrong shake. My second trip- I saw g drive through line wasn't too long. I waited in line for 15 minutes and then a manager comes up to my car and says that they have moved the end of the drive thru line to a different place and that I needed to move behind the line or go inside. When i ginally did receive my burger and fries it was another 10 minutes to get my shake. They also forgot to put the peanut butter in it. I've been here a handful of times and it's always a hit and miss with me. The first time the food was great despite the long wait. But the next time the food was luke warm but with the same long wait. I went again with the food being ok (long wait again) but this last time I went the food wasn't good at all. The burger was dry and barely warm and the fries were not fresh. But of course the same long wait which seems to be the only consistent thing at this place. I should also mention that each time I have gone were during times where not many people were there so all the long waits were confusing. After we were sat at our table we waited a good 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us, so I had to ask the hostess for our drinks, then we waited another 20 minutes to see our server. I visited steak 'n shake friday july 3rd at 6:30 pm. I waited in line for about 15 minutes and when i arrived at the window to pay (11 dollars) she handed me my milkshake and drink and in a very rude way asked "is this it" she didn't know my order and assumed i just paid that much for two beverages? i replied with "no i have a meal" to which she replied "huh" and i repeated "no i have a number five" she shut the door immediately and a few moments later basically shoved the bag to me. i drove off assuming everything was in there (all the food was) but was given no straws for my two drinks. read more
