Bites w/ fries, Texas toast and fountain drink. Then I ordered a med. fry and grilled chicken salad. Like most fast food establishments they also have a drive-thru window and take online orders for pick up. Since we were in the box truck we came inside to place our order. It had been over 15 min. since they took our order and well still no food. I decided to walk up to the counter. Something tells me they either cleared it from their screen in back or just skipped it all together. Not too much longer and we finally had our food. I thought I took a good look at it, but unfortunately before we left the parking lot I noticed I was missing my fries. Seriously. I knocked on the door and thankfully they were still inside filling drive thru orders. They quickly boxes me up a fresh batch fries. I was a little disappointed that it took awhile, but overall the taste and freshness was delicious. As a reminder this was our first time trying Huey Magoo's. Hopefully if we ever return our experience will be a tad bit different, but I'm def. willing to come back and try something else odd their menu. I did like seeing the assortment of menu items. I am a Chick-fil-a girl, but compared to many other chicken joints this one will get my business again. Yelp apparently wants me to describe the ambience of the restaurant. I took a few pictures that will have to do.

After ordering one lunch special and three salads i discovered why. if you were on a lunch break you won't make it back in time. service is attentive but moves slow. the kitchen moves even slower. i tested this theory by observing other patrons that entered. almost all appeared to be retired or not currently in the work place. the food was good but by the time my special arrived it wasn't hot. salads were good and delivered just as ordered. it's a nice restaurant, lighting was a bit dim for lunch and looked like more of a dinner time ambiance. i'd give them another try, maybe i caught them on an off day!

Those handcut fries are amazing. The Mac and cheese is fantastic. As for the sauce on the cheesesteak, Mike, who is not sensitive to garlic, said it's super garlicky. I tried a fry that got the sauce on it and said nope nope nope because I can't handle too much garlic. The sandwich is incredible but I recommend the sauce on the side. Their house side salad is so good. Giant portion. All freshly chopped. The ranch is house made and yummy. The sautéed fresh beans are really good. Seasoned just right and sautéed perfectly. The pork and brisket could not have been better. So moist. So flavorful. The banana pudding? Heavenly. I got one to go. Tried a couple of bites at the table and polished it off as Mike drove home. I think it's a bit dark inside. When you walk outside you feel like a vampire. You can barely see to walk to your car. Fabulous bbq. Excellent service.

I need to say this. I stay on a hunt for this kind of smoked meat. The brisket I had was perfect. In all ways that it could be. I cannot describe it and do it any justice. What is better than amazing? It was that good! They let me order it "fatty" side and I got the best of the best. The lovely crew made sure that I was well taken care of and didn't need for anything. The outdoor area is cool as hell. I wish we had something like this near my house. You can bet your ass I will be coming back here! '26 - 113

Although it's primarily a take out joint it's a little higher than typical take out food. Worth it though! Now for my complaint! I spent darn near $30 in this place and asked for a cup of ice. I was charged .75 cents. I was shocked, and asked why. It's because the ice machine cost $400 to repair according to the owner. Now I don't run a business of this sort, but an ice machine is a foundational requirement in my opinion along with the maintenance and operational budget. Somehow I would have added that in hidden costs rather than go through an absurd explanation and negatively impact customer service.

The foods just OK, bout it now.Course it was fantastic before so it does hurt them. Went from great whole wings that were huge, lightly breaded and perfectly fried to cut up small Nekid fried wings. Not whole wings anymore. Huge downgrade. Not bad if you like them that way though. Just wings, nothing special. Catfish? It was OK. Fell apart on me. Not crispy. Kinda bland. They don't out the seasoning on them like he did. They're only 2-3 blocks from my office so I'll go try a couple more things to see what they're like. Won't be wings or catfish showing. It is a small hole in the wall but Hands down one of the best meals- flavor- we have had since arriving in Mississippi. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich w/ fries. The fries? Not good. Hubby ordered Ribs deluxe. He LOVED his. Zero complaints. I too devoured mine but there was an issue. The boys in the back? Amazing cooks but the need to put a little pride in the plating. My sandwich looked amazing. I went to cut it in half at which time I realized the bottom bun was completely covered by the pork and the top bun. After cutting through it I cut a very corner of the bottom bun and half the top. Basically I ate it with a fork. Entire meal could have been more enjoyable if they would have cared when they plated. It was obvious they were very busy. The phones were ringing off the hook and the "staff" - seemed family owned- LOVE IT! The flavor? ITS THERE! I did order 1 link to accompany bc truth be told I would have rather had sausage. The issue is, as a PNW lifer, I am just worried about spice level- some of ya all take some spice that I just can't do. This sausage was PERFECTION in taste but dreadfully overcooked I can't wait to come back and try the sausage again. It was super tasty! Every thing we ordered came with a piece of white bread. Not toast. Just white bread Needless to say I have bird feed today. Love it even more. In my head this is a family ran establishment. I will come back over and over JUST FOR THAT great food. Thanks so much!!
