    Hours of operation

Show up @ 11:40pm get told a lie that the French fry machine is broken. Which was a clear lie. After investigation they were trying to close early. Which the operation hours are 10am-12am. Horrible customer service. POS didn't want to tell the truth.

"By Biglari" signature at the end a little too fancy for this place
    Michael O.

Traveled from California to review Steak & Shake for my podcast, as they're going to be in my annual Septemburger tournament later this year. My first impressions of the place were that the outside didn't match the inside. It has a fancy signature on the sign making it seem like it'd be an upscale kitchen, but it's not. It's a fast food burger joint. A decent one at that though. You walk in to find kiosks to order with, and the place felt pretty clean. Not too crowded. The customers I did see almost all got confused by the soda fountain, because you have to scan a QR code to activate it? And the scanner wasn't directly next to the dispenser, but over by the ketchup pump. Either way, seems like overkill but I guess soda theft be causing these businesses to drop like flies. The staff were all nice enough, but with the removal of a face-to-face ordering interaction, there's not much to talk about here. There was an odd moment where we ordered our shakes with cherries on top, and they arrived without cherries. We didn't say anything but a minute later, a guy from the back came out with our cherries and told us that most people don't like cherries, so they assumed we didn't want them. Mostly I just found it funny, as the problem was fixed quickly and without us asking. Still worth noting. The food was a mixed bag. The burgers were all pretty decent. My dad and I split a garlic burger, a western BBQ & bacon burger, and a standard steakburger. The garlic one rules if you enjoy garlic. A little salty but overall I'd go 6.5-7/10 on the burgers across the board. The fries were really good warm, but make sure you add their special seasoning salt. I had to ask for it as it wasn't kept out in the opening. The onion rings tasted like freezer burn. The milkshake didn't taste the freshest (but not as bad as some of the other reviews had me prepared for). The chicken tenders impressed me though. Overall, I'm neutral on the atmosphere, positive on the service, and neutral-to-positive on the food. Pretty close to perfect mediocrity, but slightly higher. Great quality burgers and shakes. They use beef tallow to cook everything and no seed oils, so much healthier for you

A mom n pop place would have been better. Wannabe Inn ' N Out but pricier. No bells n whistled sadly.

Can't believe you order from a kiosk a guy hands you a bag with your order and the kiosk expects a %20 percent tip. For what?

Tupelo Honey is a southern style restaurant chain that serves comfort food in a casual setting…read more They recently refreshed their menu, and they have become one of my favorite casual lunch spots in Irving-Las Colinas. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

This place is a little hidden but this does not stop the crowd from stopping by to eat. Super cute…read morelocation, nicely decorated, and has a photo op. They did seem a little busy and I believe there may have been a shift change at some point. It took us 15 mins to get a table outside. I will add the wait time is the only bummer in my experience. It took a good minute to get our beverages and food. There was a crowd but it seemed to be in and out pretty quicky. The food was great! I ordered their sangria, very refreshing and not overly sweet. Southern shakshuka. $15.99 two eggs* baked in a tomato, spinach, & peperonata sauce, over stone-ground goat cheese grits, topped with basil (710 cal) - This combo was good, loved the creaminess and even had leftovers for the next day. Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken & Waffles $16.99 Hand-breaded crispy chicken tenders drizzled with sriracha honey, served over golden buttermilk waffles. --enjoyed the Spiciness it truly was subtle but did grow as you continued to eat. The buttermilk Waffles were fluffy and light and full bite with the drizzled syrup was everything. Enjoyed the flavors of the whiskey flight and happy you have the flavor cards to be able to give the tasting a proper review. Over all price is average in comparison but the food quality is there so I have no issue spending an extra dollar or so. I would like to stop by again when it's less busy.
