Good shop and good people. Stopped by to pick up some parts and get some help with a stuck fastener on the Grom; had a headlight screw that got stripped and I couldn't remove it. These guys helped me remove the screw while I went in to shop for the parts I needed. Like I said, good shop and good people. On a side note, I had to ring that doorbell too... not a big deal to be honest. Somebody came to the door in less than a minute. If you're bothered by having to ring a bell you got bigger issues. I purchased a longblock Zongshen 212cc motor from Steady Garage. While installing a Sex Machine disc clutch set with stronger springs, the pressure plate snapped. I called to see if I could get another one to replace the broken one. They were sold out of the individual plates and the complete basket kits. After check all possible available sources in their facilities. They were aware of the problem of the plate failure and had talked to Chimera about having some billet plates made for just that reason. They had asked Chimera 6 months ago to have these plates cut from billet stock to resolve the breakage problems. Today I called Steady Garage and talked to Kevin. He in turn called Chimera and got them on the ball with production of the pressure plates. He then called me back, well after business hours to let me know that the plates are going into production and he'll call me when they are available. This is on a Monday at 8:30 pm. I have purchased from Steady Garage both online as well as in person. When going to their physical location you will find the front door shut and locked with no one visible through the windows. You will need to ring the bell using the small button on the outside. There wasn't any sort of sign indicating that I needed to ring the bell so I called and asked some one to let me in. The guy that came to the door seemed confused by my presence and I asked if I could see their retail products. He then asked me to wait outside so he could get someone else to help me. After a few minutes another guy came and let me in and walked me to the store room which is essentially a very small stock room with a few glass cases. I saw most of the products they have available online in there and had a few questions but the guy who came to help me didn't seem at all interested in helping me. I asked about clutch springs and asked if it made a significant difference and he told me "it doesn't really matter, its the same thing". Now, after having purchased them from MNNTHBX and installing them I can confirm; they are certainly NOT the same and make a HUGE difference. I also asked about clutch and brake levers but he kept giving me quick/zero thought answers and made me feel rushed the entire time. My fiancé was with me and even she said after we walked out "that sucked! it felt like we were wasting that guys time". At the time, I was still pretty excited about my new bike and didn't think much of it but I have since gone to Drow Sports in Signal Hill and experienced what good customer service feels like. It was a completely different experience at Drow Sports. They have a very nice staff and seemed legitimately interested in me, my bike and helping me get everything I want out of my bike. They even came out to the parking lot to check out my bike and answer questions about parts. I have ordered products from Steady Garage online and my experience was fine. That being said, perhaps these guys should shut down their in-store retail operation and move to online business only. I have also called to ask questions about fuel controllers and had about the same exact experience as in person; whomever answered just seemed thoroughly disinterested in answering my questions and made me feel like I was wasting his and my time. I might order parts from them in the future, but that's a super soft 'might'. read more

Purchased a seat for my 2015 Honda Grom. Details on the description mentioned it being after market and not fitting "100%" like factory seat... ended up fitting more like 30%. Emailed Steady Garage and after much reluctance on their part - their final offer was return with a 25% restocking fee and me picking up the shipping as well. Emailed them advising that after getting quotes from UPS, USPS, and FedEx - between shipping and the restocking fee, I was looking at a return of $40 for a $122 purchase. Company totally ghosted me and never bothered even writing me back at that point. I was hoodwinked. Congratulations Steady Garage - you found a sucker to get your unsellable seat off your inventory, took the money, and ran. All the associates were very helpful on answering all my questions and very knowledgable on all there products they sell. I was able to leave the store with the parts I was looking for plus more. Customer Service is pathetic, bought 3 extended idle screws for 2018 groms and none work, they all have issues with the bolt holding the throttle body, spoke to a tech, exchanged pics and everything. They dont care they dont listen to their customers. Then the charge you 20 dollars to ship a product with FedEx envelope even though their product is in USPS box that could be shipped for under 10 dollars, regardless they dont care about their customers. 75 dollars wasted. read more
