This review is related to the service department at Burt's. I purchased a second hand Husqvarna FC450 (private seller) that required some detailed factory resetting to change ownership of the electronics package so that the app would work on my phone. I thought this would be an easy process, and other KTM dealers in the area told me as much, but this ended up being a massive headache. Getting this solved required interacting with KTM HQ multiple times to sort things out. Allen at Burt's was super helpful in all of this! He figured out what to do entirely remotely (didn't even bring the bike in) and got the account/ownership sorted out with Husqvarna HQ. This was a massive help for a customer that didn't even buy the bike at Burt's. I'll be going to them for any future service needs for sure! read more

honestly honestly hands down best experience I had servicing my switch at authorized dealer . I've hopped around to so many authorized dealers in SoCal ridiculously expensive and they ruined my motor stick with bert's 100000%! ( they don't charge you a storage fee if you're a couple days late on pick up also) and their rates are way lower than those other guys, and they clearly know what they're doing.....Robbie is the Man ! Robbie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect on my boat. He even got some extra stuff exchanged by the warranty without even me asking ....things is brand new now . My partner and I came in to look for a motorcycle that was listed on their website and to go to the parts shop for a helmet. The sales people were not pushy and allowed us to browse the motorcycles. Unfortunately, we did not see the bike that was listed on their website and went straight to the parts shop. The guy helping us at the helmet section (I forget his name but it could be Xavier?) was easy going and let me browse the selection without breathing down my neck and was able to answer my questions when asked. So, where did it go wrong? When his coworker (some young, white kid) decided to jump in to help and then talked back to my partner regarding a display item vs open box item, which was uncalled for and completely rude as hell. We still ended up purchasing a helmet since I really needed one for some plans later in the day. I made sure I spoke to Xavier (I'm sorry if I got your name wrong but I'm pretty sure that's the name that came up when I was paying at the front) about the item I wanted in case he gets some sort of credit for helping out. And kid, there IS a difference between a display item and an open box item. I'm not sure how my partner's question triggered him to answer with such attitude lol. This review is for the gear/apparel shop within Bert's Mega Mall. Sooo... my birthday is coming up and my boyfriend surprised me with a new dirt bike (yay!). Of course, that meant I needed to be outfitted with all the necessary safety gear and apparel. Off to Bert's we went! We were greeted by Dave, who was really friendly and patient with us. He took the time to answer all my newbie questions and concerns, and helped locate my size in a few different things. I do wish they had a larger selection for women. Seems like the women's apparel only comes in two different color choices - black or pink. But, that's kind if how it is everywhere so I'm not faulting this location for it. We ended up purchasing gloves, boots, knee protectors, socks, goggles, and the matching jersey and pants. Thanks again, Dave, for all your help! "DO NOT" shop at Berts...especially if you're a first time motorcycle buyer. I honestly hate dealers for this very reason and ive learn to hate motorcycle dealers even more for their tactics. On top of what im about to mention, when I called about if they had a part that I was looking for in stock, I was answered by one of the most rude, condescending employee there. If they didnt have the part I was looking for in stock then all they had to say was that instead of the condescending sarcasm I was met with. (I recommend talking to Jim from MotoUnited La Habra instead, he just sounds so genuine and soft spoken, he sounds like someone who keeps his head in his own lane, something I wouldnt normally wouldnt expect from a dealer.) The people here have shark mentality, selfish and greedy and have no regret or remorse pulling as much money from you as they can. Theyre also quite defensive when called out on what they do instead of being honest and civilized. The one who finalized the contract also sneaked in a warranty that I wasnt aware of which is against the law! Luckily i was able to remove it and get a refund. I was in the market for a Honda Rebel 500 that I planned to keep for life, the MSRP for a brand new Rebel 500 is $6,799 for reference. Shipping/destination fee should be $600....even eith licensing and tax that price should go up to maybe $9000....but me being an excited buyer and also in a hurry to rush to work I agreed on a $12,000 price which i know was my fault. But regardless dealers should treat customers as people who also have a life and things to pay....not some target selfishly and greedily to rip off. I was in the market for another bike and tried to give them a chance to make things right so ai could stay as a loyal customer, I denied the price offered on the new bike and instead of making things right they had the nerv to ask me to pay a reasonable, fair price...which is funny because they werent reasonable, fair or honest with me when I went in the first time. I will never be shopping or servicing my bike at Berts again and I will continue to try my best to divert people away from this greedy, selfish, dishonest place. On a side note though I would like to add Mavericks name for at least being civil with me on the phone. Though he may have been talking to me just to get me in through the door again so someone else who was more aggressive or manipulative could talk to me instead. read more

I hate this place. This was my second time coming here and I hate them so much I spent nearly $7,000 this past weekend. And I already know I'll drive the 35 minutes out here to continue to give them even MORE money, wtf. In fact, I've never even heard of Bert's even while I had a Honda Navi (my first "bike") during the 7 months I had it. My friends introduced me to this place and I kind of wished they didn't. I mean, I would've discovered Bert's eventually but still... this shit ain't good for my finances. Seriously though, nothing but a great experience even my first time as just a window shopper. However, this past weekend I ended up purchasing a white Ninja 500 ABS at such a great price, especially compared to the used market right now. People are asking $6.5k to $7.7k for Ninja 400/500s with or without ABS. Sure, I would've saved money but for a few hundred dollars more, why not get new? That way I'm not settling for a color I don't want or buying a used bike with questionable history. Anyway, the entire process from talking about pricing to finalizing the transaction was all very smooth - except for one minor issue. They don't accept business credit cards, so keep that in mind. Aside from that, Maverick and Danny were helpful, friendly, and professional. I never felt like Bert's was being pushy or pressuring me when they followed up. Bert's was willing to negotiate with my sister and I and I really appreciate them for being open for negotiations unlike the other dealerships I reached out to. What's also cool is that they also gave me 3 coupons to use and a free shirt! I ended up using my 10% coupon for some Alpinestars boots and a rear seat cowl cover/delete for my Ninja. The discount and free shirt helped ease the pain a little... mostly the free shirt because let's face it: I ended up spending even MORE money with the coupon haha. ZERO regrets though! read more

Walking into this place after years later having a bad experience to looking into a bike purchase I'd have to say wasn't so bad this time. I had a guy who walked up and then walked away from when I said I was just looking at the bikes and wanting information only to bad he was mainly concerned on a sale not to give info about the bike. I ENDED UP WALKING TO PARTS AREA AND SEEN THIS GUY NAMED JOSEPH LET ME SAY THIS GUY HELPED ME MORE THEN THE SALE GUY DID.. Joseph was very knowledgeable in all side of the helmets and what's best for me as a first time buying/ riding a bike. I walked away with more knowledge of what it's going to take and size of bike I should be looking for- thanks to him he walked out on the sales floor and seen the two bike I have pictured here and gave me more insight on them and I couldn't be happier! Well, I initially went in just to take a look since I wasn't done saving up for a mini moto and gear. However, I was able to buy my ideal mini moto, (Honda grom) 1 month early because Mark Anthony and his manager had a bit of wiggle room on the price. Anyways, only complaints is that they seem to do their setup of motos with a bit too much of slack on the throttle cables. I just did a quick adjustment and got it working fine. Otherwise, I just came back to pick up oil and a filter for the first oil change. Friendly as always. I got to see about some other motos I was looking to get in the future while I was there. Definitely a good idea to look around in both the used and new inventory and ask about things if you are interested in something. read more

A mega mall indeed! I was in search of a new motorcycle in a very specific colorway and was lucky to find one on their website. I reached out via email to double check that it was in stock, and lucky for me they had one in a crate that they would just need to take out and assemble for me. Excited, I came in the same day after work to check it out. When I arrived to the store there were plenty of places to park (the parking lot is big). I proceeded through the entrance and was greeted by the receptionist, who then notified my salesperson that I arrived. I took a stroll through the showroom as I waited, which had a large selection of "toys". Boats, ATV's, dirt bikes, street bikes, cruisers, and even a section dedicated to Triumph -- they have everything! My salesperson came and grabbed me, and then showed me to see my brand new bike. It was/is beautiful :'). Shortly after, I was taken to Gary in finance to complete my purchase process. There is a small ADM fee (as do almost all dealers), but the out-the-door price wasn't that bad, especially for the bike in the rare color that I had purchased. Overall, the staff is very friendly. Bert's services and mechanics does NOT work on anything order then 10 years old. Bert has the highest per hour charge for services and repair any shop out there. Bert will always quote DOUBLE the recommended amount of time for repair or services. Not all mechanics have certification or proper training. HOWEVER if your willing to OVER pay and put up with delays they will eventually get your vehicle repaired or services. And if you want to buy a motorcycle or anything here... you will OVERPAY. Wasted my and my two daughters' time and money. $205 out of pocket for notary fees. Additionally, the paperwork and financing terms had been fumbled @ least 2 times. I gave a $100 deposit and out of good faith drove 4 hours from Arizona to Bert's to pick up the (3) units. I made it crystal clear to Finance I would have a 6 hour drive back to AZ (usually 4 hours but towing in a small SUV makes it 6 hours). I would be arriving at 2pm to please have everything ready. Bert's took no care in reviewing their inventory before delivering to their customer; scratches, footprints in rubber decking, smudge marks and dust. Out of good faith I trusted Bert's to sell me undamaged merchandise to no avail. These products are not $5. Is there not a Quality Dept or Customer Service? Wasted my time and my money. I "purchased" (2) jet skis and (1) double trailer. Bert's wanted me to sign paperwork before looking at the units. I replied I wanted to lay eyes on products first. When I did, (1) jet ski had such deep scratches Bert's has to replace the scratched piece. I need the skies for this weekend (it is Tuesday so this is not last minute but skies will not be ready for this weekend). I requested the $100 deposit refund and the $205 notary finance paperwork notary fees reimbursed to which Bert's has not reimbursed out of good faith the $205 notary fees (every single contract page Bert's required to be notarized). Their service department is a ripoff..... be aware!!!!!! I bought 2 brand new Kymco scooters. Got them home and they wouldn't start (both). Eventually when I had time and found transportation for both I took them back and they wanted to charge me $256 per scooter. They serviced them and fill the tanks full with dirty gas and plugged up the carbs. It has been a fight . I would not recommend or ever buy anything there. read more

Parts Department- Complete joke!!! couldn't understand the guys name when he picked up the phone, sounds like he was choking on a cheeseburger or something. I was needing a belt for a turbo s and they have it instock. I called to pay for it so a buddy of mine could pick it up for me. I mentioned that to the lady that I had spoken to about an hour before and she said yea not a problem at all. I just had to confirm with a buddy was able to go by. When I called back to pay for the belt so someone could pick it up the guy on the phone treated me as a I was some sort of low life scum fraud person. He told me that any payment over the phone is fraud and its a stolen credit card. EXCUSE ME!!! With employees that insult your clients like this it wont take long for business to get impacted big time. This guy needs to learn how to treat people. Even with lower expectation these days of customer service this has taken things to a whole new low. Looking over other reviews it seems that the management team doesn't even care about these bad reviews to try and better any experiences for clients. Filled out a trade in value form on their website. After filling everything out it doesn't give a value like other stores websites do. So I waited for a rep to contact me which they did and said "we can't value your vehicle because it's an off road vehicle, unless you bring it in". That was understandable, but then I asked about a street bike with 300 miles on it and they said let me talk to my appraisal team about a value. The response was the same, you need to bring it in in order to get some sort of value. I've purchased many vehicles and I can tell this place is going to be a huge waste of time that probably adds ADM and extra charges to everything. I went on their website that says... quick and easy value for your trade in... 30 seconds. After doing that form, I get a call from a salesman. He tells me I have to bring the bike in. Absolutely contradicting what I see on the site. I walk in and meet with the sales team and a manager who started playing number games, then tells me they do NOT give pricing on the trade in on their website, because they get KICK BACKS from vendors. What I ridiculous comment to make to a customer. And that was from a manager. I did finally talk to the GM of this business. He did tell me he talked to both of these people involved in this process and they admitted to what they told me, and was a mistake to say such a thing. There are plenty of honest dealers out there... do your research...even looking at Bert's just for ideas. I did find a great bike and sales team at Del Ammo Motorsports in Long Beach. I was recently shopping for a new motorcycle at my local dealer and after being ignored for 30 minutes, they tried to sell me bikes I did not want, and would not bargain at all until my credit was run I walked out super frustrated. I called Berts Mega Mall because I knew they were a great dealer even though they were far away. I spoke with Koby on the phone and within a short amount of time he talked pricing and worked with me on a price, passed me over to Dallas who helped me come up with a killer deal that I could not say no to. We showed up the next day and Mark Anthony was the sales person I worked with. He was so nice and explained everything clearly. They completely honored the deal they gave me over the phone and even pulled a brand new bike out of the crate and prepared it for me that day, offered me 0% financing for 6 mths and I walked out a very happy girl! From the moment we walked it to the moment we left everyone was so kind and considerate. Completely night and day experience from the one I had at the other dealer. Their team seemed so organized, efficient, honest, and seemed to enjoy their job. Best motor sports store to get your toys at! We went in back in 2023 to purchase a raptor 700 & recently went back to purchase a can am maverick r. Both times, left extremely satisfied. Andrew the sales manager provided excellent service throughout the whole process, we felt very comfortable. Also, we sold our Yamaha 450 and Sean the delivery manager made it a very smooth process. We picked up our check sooner than we expected. I would definitely keep coming back and will recommend coming to Bert's mega mall. Great attitude from all the staff! read more
