One word...MISDIAGNOSIS! My 19 year old son went in with a complaint of back pain on Aug 12th. Dr Tang and Dr Intravadan Dave examined my son ,ordered a chest x-ray. His oxygenation level was 66% according to my son. They administered O2.After the chest x-ray (only 2 views) Dr Intravadan Dave claimed he had the lungs of a 55 year old working in a coal mine. On 3 seperate times yelled at my wife and son for him to stop smoking and he fluid around his lungs. The doctor ordered an ambulance to goto emergency room because he had a punctured lung. At this point my wife and son were afraid that he was dying.I went with my son to the hospital( durning a pandemic). My son walked in and out of the ambulance was examined be hospital doctors. Chest X-rays were taken( 8 views). His Oxygen level was 99%. No punctured lung, no fluid around the lungs and lungs were health normal lungs of a 19 year old. All he had was a muscle strain.I will never go back to STAT MD again. They scared my family,Misdiagnosis the injury and waisted precious resources of a hospital durning a pandemic.I DO NOT AND CAN NOT RECOMMEND STAT MD! ZERO STARS read more

Zainab is SO helpful. My family and I had to come here on 3 different occasions for travel-related COVID tests -- once in June 2021, once in August 2021, and once in September 2021. All 3 times, she took care of everything in a professional and timely manner, and even helped set up paperwork, etc. the day before we planned to come in in order to expedite the process the following day. And, she called and emailed the results within 24 hours -- so important when you need them no more than 3 days before a flight, and when you need to submit paperwork to another country in that short 3 day window! My sister has special needs as well, and she was very attentive. Great experience. read more

I LOVE THIS URGENT CARE! I went to school I Philly and have insurance that is only covered in NY so whenever I get sick ( unless severe emergency) I would end up coming home to get diagnosed. Often times my PCP would not be able to schedule me in( because I could only come home on weekends) and therefore this was the ideal solution! Although the MDs and staff are friendly, go in there with an open mind that this is not your regular doctor. Often times patients feel shy and uncomfortable knowing that this is not there regular doctor but when preparing yourself ahead of time, you'll be able to relax and provide essential information to he doctor. Fyi - I would inform your pcp of your visit here not because it's a bad place or anything ( rather it's quite good) but because she can add any medications or recent sickness to your patient chart or at least note it. GREAT experience! I went to StatMD for the first time today due to the fact that I was able to secure an appointment for the J&J covid vaccine. The front desk staff was very friendly, and they allowed me to wait in the car and called me when they were ready to administer the shot. When I was called and assigned to an examination room, the nurse came in, took vitals, clearly explained the process and answered any questions. The doctor came in, re-confirmed allergy history, etc., and administered the vaccine. They required a 15 minute (standard) wait period; they checked on me regularly and showed sincere concern for my well-being. I was anxious over getting this vaccine, but the staff at StatMD was very calming and professional and made it less scary. Highly recommend. read more

Front desk is always rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional. Doctors are good. There is a lot of selection for urgent care in this area and stay md would not be my first choice. Wait is also always Long like and hour plus. read more

Used services at this location and was a good experience. The staff and Doctors are very professional. The Manager Safia Huda is very polite and helpful and answers all our questions with patience. Also needed some paper work done and Safia Huda helped and completed it. Even after the visit if we have any questions about the bills, the Manager does take time and will help us out in getting an answer and resolving things if needed. read more

This place has changed so much since turning into CityMD . The two stars are for cleanliness of the facility and being seen quickly . But otherwise the doctor was in a rush to see me and get me out of there and he didn't even prescribe me something that helped my upper respiratory infection . A few days before a trip overseas I realized I needed to get some preventative medications. I went to StatMD and was seen very quickly. The staff was super helpful, took my vitals and history, and then I saw the doctor within minutes. We went over my itinerary and he knew exactly what I needed to be safe throughout my trip. They even had the prescriptions sent directly to my local pharmacy so I just drove over and picked them up! Super helpful when on a short time frame. I have been to StatMD with my 10 year old daughter as well as for myself. One a foot injury, one a flu type sickness. The staff is friendly, the doctors are excellent. The short wait flew by while charging my cellphone, enjoying complementary cheezits / water while reading a people magazine in the massage chair. I will be back just for the spa experience. I rarely write on yelp but have to say Stat MD in New Hyde Park was fantastic when I visited recently. Dr. Zinovy Kozlov was very caring and treated me for acute bronchitis. The staff was extremely nice - I was seen after a short wait and received treatment in the office and they called in my meds to my pharmacy to make me breath easier. I went to StatMD for a medical situation that I was in and all I can say is that StatMD is by far one of the most intuitive and smooth operating facilities I've been to. The doctors and the staff are very caring and polite, during my visit I was accompanied with Joel one of the medical scribes and Dr. Kozlov. They both were very efficient, understanding, and only surrounded the room with comfort. Would recommend this place as a Primary Care! Wait time is very short . The doctors are great and so are the rest of the staff.

Avoid this location. The doctor refused to render the treatment that I went specifically there for. He told me that they do not provide the service that I needed at that location when, in fact, I received that same treatment at that same location 3 years ago. Unless their policies have changed, which I doubt, he gave me the impression that he was just simply not interested in providing that service. In fact, he was hesitant to even examine me. Furthermore, he was also quite defensive and unprofessional in communicating with me as a patient. In addition, the staff members sitting at the front desk were very young and immature to be employed in a medical facility. Save yourself from wasting your time and money, go to your own doctor! read more

The doctors at the center were very well informed and attentive towards my needs. I was given malaria pills for prevention when traveling abroad. The doctors provided clear instructions on when to take the pills and how to store them. I would HIGHLY recommend StatMD to all my friends and family! read more

I only had to wait a few minutes to be seen and everyone was very nice, helpful, and professional. They sent my prescriptions to CVS via computer, which I love. From the moment you enter the facility you can feel that you aren't in a typical urgent care center. The staff here truly cares about their patients and will take the time to explain the diagnosis, options for treatment, which option they recommend and why. I didn't feel rushed and the staff will answer all of your questions. Unlike other urgent care centers where you feel as if you've been processed through a queue, here I felt I received the proper medical attention. I would recommend STATMD in the future! read more

Walked into this facility today and was very disappointed. Only one doctor in the office with 7 patients waiting. At one point there was such a loud commotion coming from the back office, I thought someone was being physically assaulted. It was the doctor informing the patient what they should do in their care. Everyone in the office could hear what he was saying. No privacy here. After helping the patients, the doctor would decide to chat with the patients outside of the exam room, once again, very loudly for everyone to hear. I actually saw and heard one patient say goodbye three times and the doctor kept making jokes while multiple patients were waiting to be seen. He appeared to be the only doctor there. I was told by the doctor that it would take 15 minutes for my prescription to reach my pharmacy. I got to the pharmacy 30 minutes later and the pharmacy did not have my prescription. I called Stat MD and was fold by one of the front desk receptionist that it takes 40 minutes for the prescription to get to the pharmacy. When the pharmacy finally got my prescription, they informed me that Stat MD had the wrong month for my date of birth. How can this be since I wrote it on multiple forms that I filled out & on my license that I handed to them. My pharmacist suggested that I call Stat MD in order to correct their error in my date of birth. I called Stat MD & was told by one of the staff that no one could help me because everyone was on break. I asked the young man well "What if someone walked in to be treated off the street, no one would be able to help them?" He replied, "no, no one would be able to help them because everyone is on break." That was at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. I've never heard of a medical facility giving all staff a break at the same time. I DO NOT recommend StatMD. They are very lackadaisical and very unprofessional. read more

I came here in September to have knee examined. Turned out everything they said was true!!! In turn the healing process for my ligament tear has gone as expected. Came here last night from recommendation from my current doctor's office where I work. It was very convenient to be seen right away late at night after work. The staff was very kind and patient. The medical assistant who saw me was very pleasant and the physician was helpful and had a professional, but still friendly disposition. Overall, it was great convenient place to come to for quick care and a medical opinion for a condition although I will still follow up with a specialist for more detailed information and treatment. read more

This place overbills your insurance like crazy crazy crazy. So much so, I just called my insurance to let them know that. I took my mom last week because she had a cut and thought she needed stitches. They cleaned it and put on a Band-aid. Charged my insurance $650 undet StatMD and then the doctor who saw her billed separately for an office visit of $400!!!! We were in and out in 10 mins flat. Also, most insurance companies are billing differently now... this place bills as an urgent care. Check your policy! If your urgent care copay is $75 like mine was, you'll rethink and find another facility. Nope nope nope. read more

My mom went to this Stat MD after my grandma fell in the store - she did not lose consciousness but she did fall straight on her hands and knees. Although my grandma was walking fine and didn't have any significant symptoms, given her age my mom felt much better if my grandma got some X-rays and checked out by a doctor with an appropriate "better safe than sorry" attitude. My mom and grandma had nothing but wonderful things to say about their experience. 15 mins to be seen versus hours at a hospital was the first plus of many. Not having to do countless tests to wrack up an insurance bill was another plus. And to quote my mom, "An amazing staff that made my mom feel safe and all worries to rest." She felt there was true genuine interest for her mom's concerns as well as her own. read more

Dont go here if you're making an online appointment to avoid people during COVID season. They do not honor it at all. I went to get tested at 2:30pm with a couple of friends (mind you we were also the only patients there) and on the door was posted to register online. So we did and it took an hour for them to even call us. Half went in and came out but the other half still waited FOR ANOTHER HOUR. At this point the parking lot is now full with random patients being taken in, thus now creating an influx of patients. We waited for another hour for us to call and complain and they told me I was next. I then waited ANOTHER HALF HOUR to get my test done. I understand how hard it must be for these clinic to get a lot of patients and they are doing the best they can for that, which I do respect. However, why do you even have an online registration system if you're not gonna honor it? Kind of disappointed because the testing was really quick otherwise. I suggest you go to another clinic if you really don't want to interact with others during COVID season. read more

We arrived at 8:40pm on a Friday night when they closed at 9:00pm, but we were welcomed with friendly faces, they performed all interviews and medical tasks with no urgency to rush out the door and never made us feeling unwelcome. They were efficient all while being kind and comforting and expressing a genuine desire to help. We didn't finished till my dad come and picked us up around 9:30pm. Went to my regular doctor because I was still sick and she was appalled the "doctor" at urgent care didn't even bother listening to my lungs or breathing. Only part of the problem was solved back in the beginning of January and now I am back on the proper meds I need to get rid of what was making me sick. read more

Just took my 12-year-old son to see Dr. Tang. He has a small rash on the inside of his arm. No other symptoms. Dr. Tang was cold, heartless and not thorough at all. He treated my son as if he had lepracy. He barely looked at the rash (only from a great distance). He did not even get close enough to examine him. Then just prescribed an antibiotic and said he needed to go to a dermatologist. In addition, he said aloud that he was very unlucky to get this rash. First of all, my son is 12 and the doctor made him feel as if he should be quarantined. Heartless, not informative, and completely inappropriate. Will never go here again!! FYI-went to dermatologist and it is pimples caused by sweat. Clearly nothing dangerous and easily diagnosable by a "doctor". read more

i came here for my ear being clogged and me not being able to hear out of it, along with me being here 2 lady's and an elderly were here as well. the doors were locked but they were open, we called the number and they had us email our information instead of us showing the our cards through the glass window. the elderly woman started to shake and we called the place again to tell them that she had needed a chair but they refused to give her one. they had made the elderly woman wait another 30 minutes until they finally let her get a wheelchair, 5 minutes later an ambulance was needed and the woman wad taken to the hospital. i do not recommend going her at all, and for my ear i had to wait another hour even though there was nobody else there. again, i DO NOT recommend going here. read more
