OMG WHAT A SH*T SHOW! The service is terrible across both the Hewlett and Cedarhurst location. I went to the hewlett location for a workers comp injury and was advised that the X-ray tech would be in between 6:30pm and 7pm. After waiting until 7:30pm, I was told that I would have to go to the cedarhurst location for X-rays. . I mean talk about incompetency. I was seen by the provider who couldn't tell me anything unless X-rays are done so why waste my time seeing me ??? To transfer me to another location ? Nevertheless, I went to the cedarhurst location and the front desk staff was clueless as to why I was there ‍. I stood and explained why I was there and they decided (?) to see me. While waiting in the waiting room, at exactly 7:40pm, the front desk turn off the lights in their area and the tv in the waiting room because they were not accepting anymore patients . It gets better at 8pm, all the front desk staff was gone while there were atleast 3 other patients waiting in the waiting room. My mind was blown. Literally! I am not sure whose doing the hiring process or what they are trying to achieve but it's sure not patient satisfaction. Who manages these office ?! Please know - I hesitated to write this. Here it is --- If you do no want to be treated rude, disrespectful and rushed out the door AVOID AVOID AVOID this place. People shouldn't join healthcare if you don't want to deal with people. Just so the front desk lady can identify me - I arrived at 12:49 pm on Sat 9/05/2020 and left at 1:22pm. I arrived to an EMPTY waiting room (1person there had already signed in) -let that sink in before saying she was overwhelmed/stressed. I can take a guess why the waiting room was empty too and it's nothing to do with COVID. She's the most awful receptionist you will ever meet and it is very obvious she doesn't want to be there. Maybe she's an RN and didn't want to be at the front desk? Maybe she was tired? ‍ Maybe she didn't have coffee yet? That lady was colder than the ice queen. I tried to be as nice as possible but after my visit I asked for instructions on how to get my results and she told me "there's instructions on the paper-just take one"..... all fine and good- we should all have the reading thing down since Elementary right? Right! For clarification purposes cause, plus the paper says give receptionist your email --- I had the audacity to ask her a question "so can I just have the results emailed to me since I already gave you my phone number?"..... to this the lovely wonderful and truly peachy lady replied "JUST DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE PAPER" and proceeded with her internet entertainment. I'll leave you to interpret her tone. Let me say tho ... the nurses inside was NICE with just GREAT bedside manners. Since COVID even if I had a bad experience anywhere I refuse to write a negative review. But this lady made me write my 1st negative review of 2020 .....I get that everyone is still coming to terms with the new normal Covid brought. But the healthcare industry is different: 1. They don't have to furlough 2. They don't have to lay off 3. They don't have to do pay cuts 4. They don't have to close down 30-50 yr old establishments .... .... business is booming in healthcare. I needed a chest xray and had an abdominal bulge. Getting in and seeing a doctor was easy . He advised me that an X-ray would not address the bulge . I was referred to Zanger and had the chest done . Read the report. Good . went back for sonogram on my stomach and they texted me the report saying I had a mass and inflamed pelvis and unspecified node . Next day the urgent care doctor called to say that everything was normal. I told him what the sonogram said and was told to hang on. 15 minutes later nobody picked up the phone . So I called and got voice mail telling me the box was full and couldn't leave a message. If I didn't get the results myself and listened to him it could have turned out really bad. If you cut yourself go to urgent care . If you're sick find real doctors. read more

Usually I've had decent experiences here in the past. But yesterday 12/10 I went in and saw the PA I am experiencing bad ear pain I asked her to look into my ears and she was almost condescending saying my one ear was the cleanest she's ever seen and the other was "a little red" but nothing to worry about She told me I could start a z pack if I want for congestion but don't really need anything because it's probably viral, when I asked how she knew it was viral she told me because that is what is going around right now The next day, today I came to my trusted doctor who was open He told me I have a manifestation on my membrane and a huge bulge inside my ear and that it is and a very bad ear infection and need antibiotics right away and prescribed me the right medicine The rest of my symptoms are caused by my ear infection, I am contagious, and needed antibiotics right away Disappointed read more

As soon as the P.A. walked into room I just knew visit was going to be bad! She rushed the visit, was unpleasant,then was very sarcastic when I asked her a question about a medication!. She then berated me very loudly in front of the staff because I snatched a paper from her(at this point I was upset and in pain but her demeanor caused it!) She also said she would have me thrown out for being disrespectful and she didn't have to fill out anything for me. I have been going here for years and never had a problem with the staff or other doctors. Well you know how everyone is looking to get the test for Covid-19 because you want to make sure no one else gets infected. We all know there is no cure right now. This place will call you up checking to see how the family is doing. We already had an appointment to do the test somewhere else on Friday 4/3. The receptionist told to come right in we will do the test here. LIES!!! It was just a bait tactic to get you into the office. It took Dr Van 5 days to let me know my mother has pneumonia. By this time she was already in ICU. He saw no big deal about it! No I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you! I went yesterday I wasn't feeling well and the P.A. Took a flu test and Covid test told me I was fine and to enjoy the fresh air! I was up all night coughing. I went back this morning to find out I did have covid and he didn't tell me!!! This morning the P.A. Told me it was impossible he was the only one there !!!! No he wasn't. They took another test and guess what I have covid!!! He claims he was going to send in cough pearls and Zyrtec for me! Did you get it? I'm still waiting!!! I have always gone to this urgent care. After today never again!!! And I'm not stopping here! I will get in tough with the board of health! If I should suffer why not them!!! They are to fast at what they do! Wait times are HORRIBLE. Consistently wait 15-45 minutes in the waiting room only to wait another 30-45 minutes to be seen. Super simple stuff shouldn't be waiting an hour to an hour and a half to be seen. GO ELSEWHERE. read more

I went there recently to get a covid test because I had a fever for a few days. The people are nice but not very competent. The PA said that she will take two tests, the rapid and the PCR test. I asked if the insurance would covers two tests and she said yes. I was too sick at the time to realize that she only conducted the rapid test. I went in the next day to get the PCR test . I noticed both times that when they didn't thoroughly swab my nose . I didn't feel anything touching the inside of my nose . I did not feel confident with my test results so today I went to a NYC covid testing facility. The procedure was completely different. The person spent more time scraping the sides of my nose . It felt a bit uncomfortable but I felt more confident that the results will be accurate. So if go to this urgent care, just double check what they do. read more

This place was amazing with my fiancé. We came in because he had a HUGE gross cyst under his arm that was so painful he had to walk around with his arm above his head. I won't give you all of the gory details because just thinking about it makes me wanna throw up in my mouth. I will say that the doctor who did the procedure (forgot her name but she was a young and very pretty, pregnant Indian woman), was extremely patient and informative the entire time. Even the women at the reception desk were super nice. I've been to several Urgent Cares, CityMDs, etc. and this one was by far the best. read more

This time around in the evening was great visit then in the morning the other day. When I came in the morning the receptionist was rude and didn't have sense of humor. She made a comment as like "here fill this out". That was on called for. It was so rude that I decided to leave despite how I was feeling. Trying to get information from these people is almost impossible. One year after I went for an x-ray after a car accident, I started getting bills from them. I wanted to go through insurance in the first place, and they said I had to go through no-fault. Now they're billing me even though the records state no fault, and they told me this. The second time, i came in with a stomach virus and i was the last patient there. They made me take a urine test and told me they tested for pregnancy "3 times" and all 3 tests came back positive. Thank God i went to my family doctor and a women's center to get a second opinion. I did both a urine and a blood and both were negative. All the doctors told me that they must've mixed my urine w/ someone else's and if that's the case, someone out here is walking around not knowing that they're pregnant!! Wait time was extremely long. Front desk staff didn't accommodate at first and didn't inform me that there was an unusually long wait due to emergencies. They were only helpful once I was pushy and insisted my small child be seen after waiting 2.5 hours. The PA & doctor are so kind and professional though, it made the wait worth it. OMG AWESOME SAUCE!!!! This center is very clean with very friendly staff and doctors. You are basically seen right away after filling out a form. First the nurse sees you then the doctor. I got to the Urgent Md office at 11:20pm Sat nite and thank God they are open until 12am. The staff was very courtesies and caring. I had an inflamed eye and my skin area around my eye was also swollen. The lady doctor on call Sat 2/11/17 was very understanding and knowledgeable about what was going on with my eye. She said it wasn't pinkeye and she put fluorescein drops and used a uv light to make sure i didn't have a scratched cornea. She prescribed antibiotic eyedrops for 5 days and now 1 day later my eye looks and feel 50% better. I would definitely recommend Urgent Md. Now, I have a great medical place to go to when I have a medical condition. read more

Go to another location-not only are the assistants rude, the doctors seems bothered that you're there. Walked in at 8:15 on a Sunday morning (The location opens at 8:00) and was #2 only to be seen at 8:50. The two Nurse Aids strolled in at 8:20; which caused the delay and overheard the head NA say that one of the employees working today had walking pneumonia! I have been here twice! Once for knee pain and the other for my toddler who had croup! Dr Renata-Soto is amazing! Her bedside manner is AWESOME! She keeps it totally real and I love love love her! I have gone to Urgent Care in Cedarhurst a few times and never an issue. However, this time was the worst, and I would never go back. I had a fever, migraine, diahrrea and aching bones and chills the night before. I woke up and really did not feel any better. I had to take off of work but my job requires a doctors note and I wanted to know what was wrong with me. As I entered, there was a huge sign that if we thought we had the Coronavirus to seek medical attention at an emergency room. I knew I did not have that as I did not have any respiratory issues. As I went to sign in, the girl at the front desk was wearing gloves and a mask. She asked me to fill out my information and told me that she was not the receptionist, was just filling in until he came in. I inquired about using the pens and she stated that I could keep it and that is why they put out a lot of them. I waited and waited. I saw a man walking around, being 'silly' with one particular patient whose arm was in a sling. Another patient arrived with issues with his leg/foot. He was there last week and his condition did not get better. He was getting the runaround by the receptionist as per whoever was on call. Someone called the receptionist to a side door to tell the patient that there is nothing more they could do for him and sent him elsewhere. Totally unprofessional as the patient should have been explained this by a doctor or PA. I'm still sitting there, head is banging, and the PA, Mr. Funny-Man, stated that there was a patient waiting, why didn't anyone call her in. He called me in and I was upset that they just left me out there, so I commented. He, the PA, commented, so you went to 7-Eleven? I said yes. He said that you threw a hot dog box out on their property. Really? I don't eat hot dogs from anywhere that aren't Hebrew National and with diahrrea, a hot dog would not be ideal for my current situation. A man came into the room to take my vitals. He was nasty. He asked me my name. They have my name on the chart that I just filled out. He asked me my date of birth, which that too they had on the chart that I just filled out. I said something, he was rude and I gave it back to him. Never have I had to repeat myself any other time I was there. He took my temperature, it was 97.5 which the night before was over 102. I found that odd. He asked my complaints which once agin were listed on intake and he wasn't the doctor or PA, how many times do I have to repeat myself? He did a flu culture but he shoved the large q-tip up my nose. Finally the PA comes in, major attitude. I tell him why I am there. He said that the culture came back negative. I inquired about the diahrrea which is concerning as I cannot go to work with constant diahrrea. He stated that he wasn't worried about that, never addressed it or offered a solution to stop it. He gave me a note to stay out of work for a week; which I get that everyone is different but I can't take off for a week. He gave me a prescription for a flu medication.As I waited for the note, he returned and told me that I was rude to four of his staff members and I needed to wait in the waiting room. First off, I the place was a ghost town, dealt with one girl in the beginning, nothing rude, dealt with a young man that was the actual receptionsit, nothing rude. Dealt with the person that takes your vitals, definately not a nurse, and he was unpleasant and I will not tolerate that. Then I dealt with the PA who had no clue on what he was talking about, refused to address the diahrrea and was combative. I never had these issue when I was seen by Dr. Van or the female PA. Then the PA proceeded to say, I've seen you here before and you have a major attitude. I have never seen this man in my life, he has never attended to me and he is a liar, unprofessional, and lazy. Up until yesterday, the treatment has been five star, never again will I return there. Now I have to go to a DOCTOR to be treated for diahrrea. Call before you go to see who is on duty. Last, very dirty. If you are put in the first room, you walk straight from waiting room, room 2, I think, disgusting. The back of the door has brown liquid on it. read more

Went in this morning with an EXTREMELY painful abscess. I was seen by the doctor, he lanced it, and I was out within 20 mins!! And I was also prescribed meds. Definitely recommend going here if you're not trying to sit in an emergency room all night! read more
