Went on a Sunday with family around 5 and place was not busy but started getting busy when we got seated, parking was easy to get, We ordered apps like Wings and Detroit style pizza as well as an entree of pork belly tacos which was really good. Service and serving was good , Overall, will definitely go back for more selections on their menu. Nice neighborhood bar with plenty of TV for viewing sports.

Detroit style sausage and onion. Reheated didn't taste any better.

We went to Station 34 last night and this review is only for the pizza. The server was great, with a good atmosphere. The server said the Detroit style pizza was one of their most popular items. We ordered sausage and onion on ours. I was pretty shocked to see the limited toppings on our pizza. There was barely any sausage or onions. I don't think the pizza was cooked enough. The mozzarella was a little cold and the sauce tasted like it was right out of a can with not a lot of flavor. The few pieces of sausage we did get, tasted really good. This pizza needs. a lot of help.

I ordered crusted salmon. It was to die for. Absolutely amazing I even told the waitress to let the chef know. Went for my bday. Music band was way too loud. We sat upstairs and still couldn't talk much between us. Over all it was good

A nice local bar . On a very crowded Saturday afternoon we were fortunate to grab one of the last open seats. They have several TVs for sports enthusiasts and an area with video gaming, they also have bands in the evening. . Our server was nice and attentive , even though it was very crowded. We tried the stuffed mushroom appetizer. They were ok. We did not expect them to be fried , which made them dry and definately could have used a dipping sauce. My husband had the classic burger and I had the Rueben. Both sandwiches were decent in size and came with a side order of fries. Parking can be a bit tricky , since it is limited and can be a challenge. A local sports bar with decent food.

I recently discovered Station34 and tried their takeout, which was phenomenal! It's hard to find takeout that's as good as dining in, but this place nailed it. My favorite is the Southwest Veggie Pizza on tavern crust--it's so flavorful with the Southwest sauce and cheesy goodness.I also tried their cheese curds, which were amazing as an appetizer. However, I wasn't a fan of their Taco Pizza; the salsa Verde paste didn't quite work with the pizza. They also had a rotating special, the Mac & Cheese, in January, which was a miss for me. The pasta was very overcooked and lacked flavor. It can get busy, so I recommend making a reservation if possible; otherwise, they do take walk-ins. Overall, Station34 is a great spot for tasty takeout and a lively game-day atmosphere.

I hosted my rehearsal dinner here and it was a great experience. We all enjoyed the ambiance and the food was amazing and our guest still talk about it. We ordered the Italian buffet that included pizza, spaghetti and meatballs (top choice) and bruschetta. If you're looking for an intimate place to host a special event I highly recommend this venue.

1st time here. Came for the Detroit style pizza . We started off with the hush puppies and ordered a large Meatbomb pizza. Very good . Very filling Service was good as we sat at the bar . Very clean and comfortable inside.

Stopped for for an early dinner. I've always driven by and never had tried it so glad I finally got to. The server was really nice but the food took a bit to come out, even though the place wasn't too busy. I wasn't crazy about the appetizer, the firecracker shrimp. The pizza was decent but just really busy on top; felt like the toppings were too much. Might or might not come back..

This is one of those spots that doesn't try to be something it's not. It leans all the way into being a true neighborhood sports bar, and that's exactly why it works so well. Walk in and you're immediately wrapped in that familiar hum of TVs, cheers, and conversations a sports bar should have! The patio is nice, but it lacks TV's which would be great with some cover, but oh well. It's a good setup, and a huge reason folks keep coming back. Food-wise, burgers, wings, fries... nothing pretending to be fancy, just solid and satisfying. People consistently call it "good pub food" with a fun atmosphere, and that's honestly the perfect description. What really makes it stand out, though, is the atmosphere. It somehow balances being lively without being overwhelming. You can come to actually watch the game, or just hang out and soak in the energy. Regulars, first-timers, families, groups of friends, it all blends together into this easygoing, welcoming crowd. Is it flawless every single visit? No. It can get busy, things might take a little longer during peak times, and like any well-loved local spot, there are moments that aren't perfect. But none of that sticks with you. What does stick is the experience. At the end of the day, this is the kind of place you don't overthink. You just go, grab a seat, order something you know will hit the spot, and enjoy the game. Five stars, not because it's perfect, but because it nails exactly what it's supposed to be.

This was a small area the kids could decompress in while waiting for their food. Unfortunately we found out tonight that this area is intended for adults per the owner. My kids (who are far from perfect but were NOT out of control) were scolded and came back to the table upset. No attempt to communicate with us was made. Not sure if we will be back anytime soon.

I've been on a…read morebit of a wing tour lately, trying spots all over, and somehow each place keeps raising the bar. Bird's Nest keeps that streak alive. The wings are done exactly how you want them. Fried to a perfect crisp on the outside, while still staying juicy and tender inside. Not just "good for a wing," but genuinely well-balanced in texture. They're done in a way where you could eat them plain and still be satisfied, which says a lot. Then come the sauces. I tried their Bird's Nest hot sauce along with the hot BBQ, and both delivered. The hot sauce brings that classic heat you expect, but the hot BBQ was the surprise standout. It had a deeper, slightly sweet kick that made every bite better than the last. I usually lean buffalo, but this time the hot BBQ took it. What really stood out is how consistent every bite felt. No drop-off, no dry pieces, just quality all the way through. It's the kind of plate where you look down and realize you finished it faster than expected. I don't throw this around lightly, but these are some of the best wings you'll find in the Chicago area, and honestly, they hold their own anywhere. Having tried wings across about 20 states, including spots in Buffalo, I'd put Bird's Nest right in that conversation. The overall vibe makes it even better. It's a great place to catch a game, relax, and spend time with friends without it feeling forced or overdone. Definitely the kind of spot you find yourself coming back to regularly. 9.3/10

There were seven of us and we all converged from Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills. Jimmy D's doesn't come up on your normal burger place lists in and around the area, but we saw a post somewhere and knew we had to check this place out, especially if it ended up being across from the future home of the Chicago Bears. We'd probably end up hanging out there and wanted to make sure it was a good enough place to hang and be a part of the action, whilst not paying for said action. Anyhoo, we all pulled up to find a nice parking lot next to/behind the restaurant. It's a cool place with a couple entrances (one in the lot and the other from the street). It's a nicely adorned building and has the requisite sports decor on the inside with plenty of televisions to watch many games at once. There was plenty of seating for our group as it was quite empty on a Monday night and there wasn't any game of note when we were there. We called ahead letting them know our numbers and they accommodated us with a reserved table. They were attentive and constantly refilled out waters and sodas and brought more beer when needed/requested. The service was friendly and attentive. We were there for the burgers of which there are four options: the House burger, the Fried Egg Burger, the Mac Daddy, and a Black Bean burger. However, stipulations for being in our club is that you can only order a red meat-based burger. We did order the buffalo sauced wings as an appetizer to share. They were sauced nicely, not too hot, and quite good. I would definitely recommend getting them if you visit. I also ordered the cream of chicken soup. It was a perfect option for the cold night and I rank it among one of the better cream of chicken soup options in the suburbs. While not a sommelier of cream of chicken soup, I do rank it quite well: I think it matches Jameson's Char House for quality, thickness, and flavor. Mama clearly knows what she's doing with her soup. I opted for the Mac Daddy burger. It's prepared with: black angus beef, boom boom sauce, house mac n' cheese, bacon, fried onions, sliced jalapeños, toasted brioche. I normally don't opt for the special/signature house sauces as I've been burned before by these so-called "recommended" house sauces (I'm looking at you, Lucky Burger, with your terrible "dijonnaise" sauce - ugh, don't get me started on THAT sauce). However, I was told it's a hot sauce for the burger and figured it wouldn't overpower everything else on the burger. The mac n' cheese was a tad creamy, but so what, the bacon, fried onions, jalapenos, and boom boom sauce cut into the creaminess a bit and it worked. And it didn't overpower the flavor of the burger, which I thought it would, but somehow didn't. I really liked this burger, the bun held up, the bacon stayed crispy, and jalapenos and sauce added a nice kick but not overwhelmingly so. I would get this again. The sandwiches come with housemade fries or tots, but I know that if tots are offered, you can (generally) never go wrong with tots (I'd point out Puck's Pub but they closed and did the world a favor in doing so). Everyone generally liked their burgers and would return again. In our 5 point scale, Jimmy D's District got a 4.25. They have a nice brunch menu and drinks to match and I want to try them out someday. Let me know if you're going and I'll meet ya there if available.
