The mushroom swiss smash burger was good as were the fries. However the addition of the slot machines took away a third of the restaurant and the large windows where the high tops used to be. Went on a Sunday with family around 5 and place was not busy but started getting busy when we got seated, parking was easy to get, We ordered apps like Wings and Detroit style pizza as well as an entree of pork belly tacos which was really good. We are regulars for dinner and an appetizer. We walked in and asked for a booth at approximately 4:30 we were told that they were all occupied. We stated that a high top would be fine. The hostess informed us we would not be allowed at the high top that was open because we were a party of two and the table was saved for a larger party. It was then explained to us that we could come back they were waiting to open the upstairs but their waitress was late for work. Essentially I felt like we were being kicked out! A waitress then appeared with two menus and led us to a high table in the rear of the restaurant. We have tried many of the appetizers and decided on one of our favorites Crispy Fried Cauliflower. It arrived at our table it looked unfamiliar to us we tried it, but it was bland and no spice. It was not fried! I told the waitress it did had no flavor and did not taste right!!! Extremely disappointing! My husband had a mushroom/ cheese burger, but it was not cooked properly and left part of his burger. We frequent 34's frequently and always enjoy our food. This was more than disappointing!! No apologies from the waitress they just wanted to move someone else into our table. We went to Station 34 last night and this review is only for the pizza. The server was great, with a good atmosphere. The server said the Detroit style pizza was one of their most popular items. We ordered sausage and onion on ours. I was pretty shocked to see the limited toppings on our pizza. There was barely any sausage or onions. I don't think the pizza was cooked enough. The mozzarella was a little cold and the sauce tasted like it was right out of a can with not a lot of flavor. The few pieces of sausage we did get, tasted really good. A nice local bar . On a very crowded Saturday afternoon we were fortunate to grab one of the last open seats. They have several TVs for sports enthusiasts and an area with video gaming, they also have bands in the evening. . Our server was nice and attentive , even though it was very crowded. We tried the stuffed mushroom appetizer. They were ok. We did not expect them to be fried , which made them dry and definately could have used a dipping sauce. My husband had the classic burger and I had the Rueben. Both sandwiches were decent in size and came with a side order of fries. I recently discovered Station34 and tried their takeout, which was phenomenal! It's hard to find takeout that's as good as dining in, but this place nailed it. My favorite is the Southwest Veggie Pizza on tavern crust--it's so flavorful with the Southwest sauce and cheesy goodness.I also tried their cheese curds, which were amazing as an appetizer. However, I wasn't a fan of their Taco Pizza; the salsa Verde paste didn't quite work with the pizza. They also had a rotating special, the Mac & Cheese, in January, which was a miss for me. The pasta was very overcooked and lacked flavor. It can get busy, so I recommend making a reservation if possible; otherwise, they do take walk-ins. The employees were very friendly and nice to everybody there. Maybe I arrived at Happy Hour or something. Once I wanted to see if they had a specific show on their TV. We enjoy going to Station 34 they have good service and good food but it is hard to frequent being that it's the one place it town that does not only not take reservations but they don't even take call ahead seating. We eat out at least weekly and generally keep it to our local places. There are so many great options in town it's hard to make a choice to go there and stand around and wait for 20 minutes or more for a table. Last week we were there and as usual it was pretty crowded. When we finally got seated we were near the bar and there seemed to be some trouble starting between two groups of people. Best place for pizza, or at least the most popular place for pizza in Mount Prospect is at this sports grill. If you happen to be around here like we were, might as well try it. Station 34 appears to have a firefighter theme. Let's hope they don't need any here to put out a fire. The draft beer goes good with any pizza. Ask if there's any specials happening. It usually has something at a cheaper price. They have happy hour prices on lots of stuff. Last time it was $4.50 Krombacher. These come in a tall big ass glass, but it's still only a pint. As for the food, pizza is the focus. They have a pretty big menu. One can choose a pizza from the list. You can also get Build Your Own. It's what we did. They have a few sizes. It's about $13 for a small thin crust. They have a few toppings for free, then you add a couple bucks each. It was a pretty good pizza and bigger than we thought it would be. We got it with giardeneria. It was like getting a few toppings on it but only getting one, so it's kind of cheating. This is a good idea if you have to cheap out. Good beer and good food. It has plenty of pizza with a whole lot more. The prices are good on most of the beers, and kind of high on a pizza, which is the only complaint but since the product is good I won't complain too much for that. read more

The bat is topped off with a couple sports gaming and a full section of gambling machines. To me, gambling machines take up real estate that could be filled with a Buck Hunter machine or similar. But I understand businesses need to attract whatever flow they can get. Pizza. It looks the part of "Detroit style." Didn't find the taste or sauce compelling, though their pizza looks picturesque for IG shots. I'd probably check them out in the future for a game and sampling more of their appetizers. read more

In my own experience, the only reason why I docked 1 star, is because the service was extremely slow. We were surprised, too, because it wasn't too busy. We just figured they were probably short-staffed for the day. This happened both times for me when I was there. Luckily I'm understanding and wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind, but I know slow service bothers a lot of people so I wanted to mention it. It was slow service, but everything was delivered correctly and the servers and hosts were very approachable. Overall, it has a sports bar ambiance and a small but cute outdoor area in the front of the restaurant. This is a go to for me and my husband. We try to sit at the bar everytime we visit for good TV views and the bartenders are the best. They rotate a portion of their drafts which is ideal for trying new craft beers. We are bourbon fans too and appreciate the selection they have. Weekends and dinner times can get busy; there is live music routinely which is a popular time to be there. When it's busy and we do get a table the service is casual and always kind. Our food favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza, we do thin crust and have enjoyed the margarita and bbq chicken pizzas too. Great wings and steak panini. The TVs are usually on MLB, NBA or NFL (Chicago teams if they're playing) but there's 20+ TVs so they'll 100% have or be able to put on the game/match you're looking for. When it was at its peak, you can't hear a single word from a person across from you-- not the fault of the restaurant of course just a reminder to bring earplugs.
