Great local spot in Palatine. Friendly staff and well supported by the local community. We enjoy coming here on game days to hang out with friends. Kid friendly, darts and arcade games inside. Food is good, delicious thin crust and wings. Also a full bar is available! Good beer and spirits selection.

Half smash burger with delish Mac-n-cheese!

A message to the owner: Please don't compromise your food! This place is new, and they are doing it right!!! You never know with a strip mall bar, but they are putting in the work! You can tell they are not dumping frozen food into a fryer. They are hand making fresh food in the kitchen! The homemade mozz sticks and Italian beef egg roles were amazing! We also had pizza and a smash burger and everything was *chefs kiss*. Often times bars like this start out strong and Peter out, but if they keep an eye on their quality we will be loyal customers! Bartender was great, we had some fun playing darts, and the drinks were excellent! Thanks for a great first experience! We will def be back!

Meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The other plate is hot beef with mashed potatoes.

They are putting both hot beef and meatloaf and the specials menu. I just had both, unbelievable! Tremendous flavor!the meatloaf was not overcooked, which I expected just because meatloaf is always overcooked. Both recipes come from Gus, the owner, who's been in this business since Man was created.

    Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Tots

I went here with a couple friends and the food is great! I got a buffalo chicken wrap with tator tots. The chicken was so moist and tasty and the tots were deliciously crispy. The service was great - our server was attentive and continued to get us more rounds of drinks. Also, the vibe is great for a local pub. The decor is nice/updated and tvs everywhere if you wanna watch a game. This place is super affordable with daily food and drink specials! Highly recommend!

Bar tender was rude, maybe frustrated but we are the patrons. Take it up with the owner. Noticed and experienced a lot of bias service. Paid VIP tickets got zero VIP service. When you expect a huge crowd, get extra help. It was a ridiculous experience, we left early. Would not recommend.

Though be warned, the pickles are deceptively smooth but VERY powerful. The young female bartender is very polite and accurate. I've seen other reviewers complaining about ID card handling and so far in my visits I have had zero defects of transaction even with multiple cards involved in a bond/pay combi. The bar is nice during the day with minimal client load in the billiards hall. Plenty of televisions will keep any sports bettor busy as well, if you want a good bar billiards and betting room Hot Pockets is a great place with its 50 LCD TVs across the facility and plentiful tables for billiards time. We look forward to league play here. The cost is economical and you get a lot of bang for the drink and food here. The fact it isn't busy during the day shows that there's a lot of night life in this town of which I don't partake in. Can only assume in the evening things become more chaotic but 5 stars from me reaffirmed.

They're known for their incredible burgers, but I love that they have a seasonal menu with great food and drink specials. There's always something new to try alongside the rotating craft beer selection. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcome. I recently stopped in for brunch after the Saturday Farmers Market, and it was excellent! It's the perfect way to start the weekend. The atmosphere is the best of both worlds--family-friendly while still being lively and energetic, especially if you're there to catch a game. They also have a beautiful private dining room that's perfect for hosting large parties, celebrations, showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, or other special occasions.

Would have loved to see happy hour or day time specials especially during the summer to bring in peeps. Very empty for Monday 2/3p during World Cup. Definitely has the potential to be a fun place. Food: Cheese Curds and spicy shrimp apps were tasty and great - 5/5. "Smashed" burger was not smashed at all lol no crispy edges and too thick for a smash burger. More like a normal double cheeseburger in my book. Added a Charred jalapeño - was awesome Onion bun also not the right vehicle for smash burger - top bun was burned and rock hard - so ate it open style with.knife and fork as a soft Potato Bun is what you ideally need for a smash burger. Really disappointing that the chef put out food with a burnt bun when the place is only 10% occupied. Burger was 4/5 but 2/5 as a "smashburger." spicy buffalo chicken wrap - 4/5 Grilled Chicken salad - 4/5 Mac and cheese -4/5 Fries were like the battered type and not crinkle or skinny. 4/5. Dip sauces were all great- good honey mustard, buffalo, blue cheese, and ranch.

There were seven of us and we all converged from Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills. Jimmy D's doesn't come up on your normal burger place lists in and around the area, but we saw a post somewhere and knew we had to check this place out, especially if it ended up being across from the future home of the Chicago Bears. We'd probably end up hanging out there and wanted to make sure it was a good enough place to hang and be a part of the action, whilst not paying for said action. Anyhoo, we all pulled up to find a nice parking lot next to/behind the restaurant. It's a cool place with a couple entrances (one in the lot and the other from the street). It's a nicely adorned building and has the requisite sports decor on the inside with plenty of televisions to watch many games at once. There was plenty of seating for our group as it was quite empty on a Monday night and there wasn't any game of note when we were there. We called ahead letting them know our numbers and they accommodated us with a reserved table. They were attentive and constantly refilled out waters and sodas and brought more beer when needed/requested. The service was friendly and attentive. We were there for the burgers of which there are four options: the House burger, the Fried Egg Burger, the Mac Daddy, and a Black Bean burger. However, stipulations for being in our club is that you can only order a red meat-based burger. We did order the buffalo sauced wings as an appetizer to share. They were sauced nicely, not too hot, and quite good. I would definitely recommend getting them if you visit. I also ordered the cream of chicken soup. It was a perfect option for the cold night and I rank it among one of the better cream of chicken soup options in the suburbs. While not a sommelier of cream of chicken soup, I do rank it quite well: I think it matches Jameson's Char House for quality, thickness, and flavor. Mama clearly knows what she's doing with her soup. I opted for the Mac Daddy burger. It's prepared with: black angus beef, boom boom sauce, house mac n' cheese, bacon, fried onions, sliced jalapeños, toasted brioche. I normally don't opt for the special/signature house sauces as I've been burned before by these so-called "recommended" house sauces (I'm looking at you, Lucky Burger, with your terrible "dijonnaise" sauce - ugh, don't get me started on THAT sauce). However, I was told it's a hot sauce for the burger and figured it wouldn't overpower everything else on the burger. The mac n' cheese was a tad creamy, but so what, the bacon, fried onions, jalapenos, and boom boom sauce cut into the creaminess a bit and it worked. And it didn't overpower the flavor of the burger, which I thought it would, but somehow didn't. I really liked this burger, the bun held up, the bacon stayed crispy, and jalapenos and sauce added a nice kick but not overwhelmingly so. I would get this again. The sandwiches come with housemade fries or tots, but I know that if tots are offered, you can (generally) never go wrong with tots (I'd point out Puck's Pub but they closed and did the world a favor in doing so). Everyone generally liked their burgers and would return again. In our 5 point scale, Jimmy D's District got a 4.25. They have a nice brunch menu and drinks to match and I want to try them out someday. Let me know if you're going and I'll meet ya there if available.
