We recently had solar panels installed on our foam roof. Unfortunately, the solar company put so many holes and cracks in our coating that we needed to get it fixed asap. Originally the solar company was only going to pay to re-coat the roof, but after State 48 Roofing showed them why this wouldn't fix the roof, because the coating is only as good as the foam underneath. Hence we are going to get new foam and coating. I also appreciate how they showed up on time and were very quick to respond to our request for help. As a licensed property manager with Marken Realty Corp. I am happy to send all of our clients to State 48 Roofing as I know they will be taken care of. I have worked with a lot of roofing companies over the years and the prices they are quoting are good rates versus other companies that underquote, just to give you surprise surcharges or additional fees to do the job. The process was an enormous pain. The roof was mediocre at best only after weeks of demanding that they fix issues (left unpainted/exposed plywood, broken facia boards, big scratches in metal finishes, etc.). All this after being told the job would be done in one day (my condition because we didnt want the roof left half finished during the rainy season). Do not recommend. read more

I was referred to State 48 by a friend. Jesse inspected my 24 yo tile roof. He sent me lots of pictures, because let's face it, I will never get on my roof again. We scheduled replacement. Everything happened like clockwork. Paid deposit. Materials delivered. 2 roofers arrived to remove tiles, more roofers came and then Alejandro and Brent adding expertise. The work was done a day early. Everything nicely cleaned up. More pictures of the completed work, warranties and receipts. The workers were professional and the roof - especially the flat patio roof looks so good. I probably won't need another roof but if you are looking at reviews, you probably do. Use State 48. Great experience. I had two others who did roofing out to look at our roof. They both gave me different reports and recommendations as to what needed to be done. I decided to call a 3rd, which is how I ended up with State 48 Roofing. They came out, did an inspection and came up with a whole different (and cheaper) recommendation and showed me pictures of what issues I had with my tiled roof. Their price was 1/2 of the lowest bid I had and 1/3 of the highest bid. More importantly, I felt 100% confident in their recommendation and pricing. They were able to do my job within 3 days of the inspection, and completed it in a professional manner. Not sure in they were "sexy" but they were a company I would be happy to recommend, and the only one I will call when I have roofing concerns in the future. June 17, 2022 a microburst tore through our neighborhood and after less than one minute much damage ensued. Among other things, our roof sustained damage and one of the ceramic roof tiles ended up in the neighbor's yard. State 48 Roofing was chosen from a list of State Farm recommended companies. We were contacted and scheduled within 1-2 days after we contacted them and work was begun within 3-4 days. There were pictures of the roof damage provided to me BEFORE and AFTER the repair. A couple days AFTER the repair was completed and after they were paid, I noticed several areas of lifted tiles not seen in the pictures, I TOTALLY appreciated their fast response to my concern. I was mainly impressed because even though they had already been paid, Brent, a workman was sent back to my residence within one day of my complaint. Brent was friendly, caring, and amazing in his explanation and clarification of the miscommunication that had happened. He also instructed me to contact the office again if I see anything else that bothers me and that it would be rectified as fast as possible. Brent also provided pictures after he corrected the areas. As a result, I have NO RESERVATIONS about leaving this POSITIVE review for State 48 Roofing!! We hired 48 State Roofing to replace the roofing material (not tiles) they removed our rain gutters and damaged the front gutters and refused to put them back up. There were a few additional issues but Diego came out and corrected/ fixed them. He called a rain gutters company and that sales person said there is absolutely no reason the gutters should have been removed. Originally Diego said they would replace the damaged gutters but after getting the quote said they would not. This is not a reputable company. I would not recommend doing business with them. read more

Heard about State48 through a local FB group and reached out regarding a possible leak. They came out within a week for a quote and inspected the roof and inside where we thought the leak was. We needed to do a water test to determine if there were any repairs needed in addition to the routine maintenance. The water test took longer than expected to schedule but once it was done the maintenance was scheduled shortly thereafter. Whole process took about a month. I'm in Mortgage and often have clients that need to do roof repairs in order to sell their home so they can purchase. I've always recommended Jason! He's honest, reliable, and will tell you what does- and more importantly what does NOT need to be done! One of my clients needed to sell in order to buy. The buyer for her home was not confident with the roof issues that came up on inspection. She got two quotes from other roofers and both said the roof needed to be replaced. She needed $12,000 and was going to pull it from a home equity line she had, called me in a panic, worried that the increased debt would hinder her prequal on the new home. I asked her to trust me and get one more quote, I passed her Jason info and she reached out. Get this, she did NOT need a brand new roof! She did need a couple grand in repairs, but that was enough to make the buyer feel confident moving forward! Jason could have said she needed a new roof, come in with a quote just under the other two to get her business and line his pockets. But he didn't, he saved the deal & saved her $9,000! Also, I'm unsure of what happened with the reviewer below but I've never had a problem with Jason's responsiveness, always been timely with excellent communication. My yard was cleaned at the end of each day and the dumpster was gone by 7 AM the day after completion. UPDATE 2: STATE 48 came out this morning as promised and fixed the problem. My opinion of the company has changed as indicated by my new rating. UPDATE 1: STATE 48 had two representatives at the house within 24 hours and they have proposed a satisfactory repair. A team is scheduled to perform the work on June 6th. Based on their quick response and willingness to correct the problem, I have raised their score to three stars. I will provide further updates, next when the work is done and again after the next major rain storm to tell you that the problem is fixed. Look elsewhere for a roofing contractor. Approximately 1 year ago we had leaks in our roof and called State 48 Roofing, along with other contractors to provide estimates. They said we really needed to have the roof replaced. In retrospect, the area that was the main leak problem was only eight years old. Anyway, based on a good salesman's advice, we did so. Unfortunately the roof still leaks. We called State 48 out and they said the leak wasn't from the roof but because something in the house construction wasn't done right when an addition was added to the house eight years ago. Whatever they thought wasn't done right was never brought to our attention before they replaced our roof. When we were told that it was a construction issue and not their problem, we asked for something in writing that describes just what the problem is. After many weeks of waiting I have not heard back from STATE 48. Sadly I am 74 years old and did not climb up on the ladder to have them show me specifically what the problem is. Over the past weeks we have called and left messages asking for more detail, and meanwhile we still have the same leak from before the roof replacement approaching monsoon season again. I didn't mention that I have had the interior ceiling re plastered twice at a total cost of $850. If this is what you expect in getting your roof replaced, think about it twice. I don't think they have much integrity given this and their warranty on their work is obviously useless. read more

Just had my 35 year old roof redone by Sate 48. Their estimate was aligned with the big roofer in town (that we used to use) but the reason I went with S48 was because of the thorough explanation I received when Marco came out with the original estimate. It's not enough for a roofer to walk around up there by themselves then come down and say "you need a new roof". S48 spent a decent amount of time moving tiles AND texted me videos with explanation from the roof showing me the problem areas under the tiles (including the small leak I had on an exhaust pipe) and really explaining to me why a new roof was needed. It finally clicked that I could not wait another year without a lot of risk. Marco also explained the financing options and left me with samples of the underlayment options. I knew I was in good hands and would be treated like a valued customer. And now I know way more about my roof than I ever have. From day one the communication with everyone involved on the project was A+. From being updated on scheduling, through the progress and finally the final inspection (on the roof), everything was effectively communicated. Overcommunicated actually. The job was done well and they cleaned up. I'll be using them again when my foam roof areas need a recoating. If you are looking for a quality roofer that does good work, will walk you through the process and keep you well updated, this is the team to go with. Now I have a sexy a$$ roof. read more

Beware of this company. This review has nothing to do with this company's workmanship. It has to do with professionalism and honor.  It is apparent that the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing in the company.  Their salesman spoke to us about what was needed to be done on the patio roof. He even sent us videos showing us what they were going to do. We signed a legal contract to perform work on the patio roof and agreed on a flat price to replace all the plywood and whatever else was necessary.  They were given a deposit, and I was given a work date.  The day the work was to be performed they never showed up. After numerous texts and phones calls, I was able to speak to someone.  I was told that the salesman attempted to call me numerous times but could not get a hold of me. There were no phone calls listed on my cell phone and no messages were left.  What I was told was the production crew refused to perform the job as stated and recommended a different procedure, with an additional cost.  I advise them I have a contract that specifies they job and the price.  Apparently, they didn't care. We tried to work with them on a different price since the mistake was not only their mistake, but the salesman had accepted ownership of it. They refused to honor their original contract and guarantee flat rate price.  So, we requested a full refund. I will never do business with this company again. There is a lack of trust now. They also told us we would receive a discount for military and or first responders, which we did not receive. Sorry to say State 48, but you did not just loose the contract on my patio roof but the roofing on my home.  And by the way stop deleting reviews, accept responsibility. read more

State 48 and Jaden are doing a great job of maintaining my aging 30-year roof, which was installed about 10 years ago by another roofer. The heat and increasing storms and microbursts are taking a toll, and State 48 has been vital about coming out quickly after storms and inspecting and shoring up problem areas so we can extend the life of the roof as much as possible (since 30 year roofs in AZ do NOT last 30 years). I discovered State 48 over a year ago after a major storm sent rain through my AC intake vent and into the house. State 48 replaced shingles and sealed leak areas, and we haven't had that problem since. When it's time, we know we'll work with State 48 to replace the roof. read more

The monsoon rains this summer we're a Godsend, but also did quite a number on my roof. State 48 Roofing was referred to me as a preferred vendor by my insurance company, so I felt reassured calling them to help resolve my concerns. Jason Payne was out in short order to assess damage to my roof resulting the need for a whole new roof. It took a bit to get things started, but the delay was Mother Nature herself. Roof replacement can't be done until the rain stopped, which unfortunately put temporary delays for all. Once the work started, everything was completed quickly and efficiently. Beautifully done!
