This is a follow-up. VHB Roofing redid the roof on our 1997 home in 2019 (it's now 2026). We've had ZERO issues with the roof which attests to their quality. At the time, they pointed out the issues with how our house roof was initially installed that resulted in a lot of costly water damage. We also had a tubular skylight installed 25 years ago and they showed us pictures of the deterioration around it. The original installer, Solatube, addressed our concerns quickly and installed new flashing. (Solatube is another great company) We are very pleased that we found VHB Roofing and feel relieved that we don't have to be concerned about our roof. read more

They advertised and told all the neighbors about having the roof replaced as part of their "advertising", the contract is between the customer and business and it's no one else's business! Now all of the neighbors know personal business. They even went to neighbors who have "No Soliciting" signs to advertise the roof to them... This is a clear invasion of privacy, when you already pay a business and they advertise the personal business and address to everyone else. It is no one's business! Very embarrassing practice! It says "Hey neighbors, I make enough money to replace my roof! Come to my house and see it!" Terrible. **Edit: This business "owner" is threatening me and has threatened to SUE ME! See his response and please don't use this business, unless you want "legal trouble"!! Had them come out for water dripping through my front patio can lights. He looked at the roof and immediately was sure it was because a roof vent was too close to the junction between front roof and garage roof, thus allowing too much water drainage, pushing some through the vent. He removed the vent and replaced with extra tile. I was charged $775 for the work. This was Jan, 2020. Water now coming through can lights again. I contacted him about it. He said he doesn't do repairs any more. After explaining that his work didn't hold up and that it hadn't rained that constant since the repair I got a text back saying,"Don't ever contact me anymore. It's people like you that has me not doing repairs." He blamed it on "worst monsoons in decades". I never asked him to do it for free, just wanted to know if he could fix what didn't work. I wish I could do 0 stars. The owner of VHB Brian Howard, had his guys come out twice to fix the same leak. It is still leaking even though I paid him twice for the same work. He assured me he was confident they fixed the leak the 2nd time yet we still have water coming in our house. He told me to stop contacting him because it wasn't warrantied even though he assured me they would fix the leak. Don't ever use them and he is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever met. Last Wednesday's rain resulted in a leak in our living room ceiling. I texted Brian owner of VHB roofing on Thursday and he had Alex come over the next day to repair it. Since they had completed a repair in the same area last Sept they did not charge us. Alex removed a large area of tile, put down new underlay, cleaned up and we were good as new. He was also very tolerant of our puppy who could not leave him alone! Highly recommend VHB, my neighbors have used them and also recommended them to others. Suspect we will need a new roof in next couple of years and they will be the 1st one we call. Brian is professional, responsive and also has integrity which is hard to find! read more

In August 2023 I began my journey of trying to find a company to replace my roof underlayment as it had been over 20 years since the original roof had been put on. After researching many companies and then reaching out to some for quotes on the roof I found that most of them are actually quoting around the same price. So then it became about the company, the warranties, the BBB reports etc. I finally settled with VHB Roofing. This company is very reputable, there were no bad reports, their ROC number was clean and they had good reviews. One of the selling features for me was that you dealt directly with the owner Brian Howard. There was no salesman that came to the house, it was Brian. Brian told me exactly what was going to happen and how many days it would take. He was right on point on both of these items. He visited the house when the work was happening, and HE was the one to do the final review of the work his men performed. And lets talk about those men that worked for him. They made sure the work sight was clean every day before they left. I would walk around the house to check on progress after they would leave and the site would be picked up and no debris laying around. Now lets be honest here, there were tiny pieces of the old underlayment here and there but on the final day, everything was cleaned up including those tiny pieces. I was impressed by the quality of the work this company did, the follow through and communication from Brian was top notch, and his pricing was right along the lines of other companies so I wasn't worried I was being price gouged. We had a small leak in the corner of the garage. The first estimate was looking for an entire roof replacement. VHB Roofing was terrific! Brian came out immediately to give us an estimate after inspecting our roof. The estimate was comprehensive and reasonable. Several estimates we received were done by satellite photos only. Brian found an area that needed immediate attention and had someone come out to do a temporary repair at no additional cost. Brian originally was easy to work with when completing a roof inspection on a house we were purchasing. After moving in, we completed all of the repairs he recommended resulting in $10,000 or work in April 2018. Now October 2018, we had two leaks in the roof causing damage to the interior of the house. When contacting Brian about how to resolve the issue, he was very abrasive stating that not all roof inspections are perfect and because he did not identify the spots which caused the leaks his company is not responsible then hung up. read more

**update to his response ** This happened on Oct 2nd and yes Potential customer because that same day I had a 2nd home with a roof leak and had you come here and did the right thing I would have sent you over to that home to give me a quote to repair it. You absolutely did say, "what do you want me to do about it?" then said "I don't see your name anywhere on here" referring to the original work order when you replaced the roof back in March. then after I asked about the warranty, since it had been only 7 months, you stated "I didn't transfer anything to you". That's when you pist me off and ended the call because you obviously were the wrong one to call. Then maybe 1.5 hours later @ 9:25 am, you text me stating your guy would be by to take a look. He came, it was NOT raining at the time and he DID remove tiles because I was outside watching him as he stood on the roof. He confirmed he found a leak, (no where near any pigeon proofing btw) but because of the language barrier he called a coworker to translate for him and that man said they would be back the next day to repair it. (Neither one ever mentioned anything about the cause being from the pigeon proofing.) So Great!!! I think this is turning around, got to be covered by the warranty and you are going to do the right thing. Next day, Oct 3rd, they show up, fix the leak, I never saw a work order, never signed anything. They come down after the repair is complete and say it wasn't their workmanship that caused the leak, it was pigeon proofing and showed me pics of an area that was no where near the area the 1st guy was at with tiles removed the day before. I say ok, thanks and they leave. At this point, I just wanted the water to stop flowing into the bedroom. As soon as they left, as if you just couldn't wait, you call me up with that wonderful attitude rubbing in the fact that it wasn't your workmanship and I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, but of course you weren't that nice about it. Then you then text me at 10:05 am and ask me where you can send the invoice for the repair. $450 invoice! Of course because you were such a pleasure each time we talked, I wasn't 100% satisfied you were telling me the truth but I was waiting for insurance claims to run their course (interior water damage) before I or my insurance company paid the bill. I also wasn't aware at the time that, per the ROC, you must provide a 2 year warranty on all work no matter who owns the home at the time, so it makes sense you would blame pigeon proofing in order to charge me and be spiteful. 2 weeks go by and you start threatening to put a lien on my house for non payment. I say I'm waiting for my insurance adjuster, you Say "it's not my problem" and that I should "pay my bills". You mailed me the preliminary lien notice in the mail and added an extra $100 to the bill. Yet, I never signed a work order to repair at any cost let alone $450. I assumed since you changed your mind and sent your guys over that the repair was under warranty. So I will let the ROC be the deciding factor. I have all the text correspondence so you can lie and say what you want on here, but you and I know the truth of what really took place and what your attitude was like and you should be ashamed and embarrassed. Big storm is here and of course the roof starts leaking on the home I just purchased in May. Back in March, VHB replaced the roof and the sellers provided me with the invoice so the first person I call his them. Big Mistake!! Horrible customer service, snotty attitude "what do you want me to do about it" was his actual response to me. I wasnt asking for a free repair, just thought going to the source who replaced it would be a good idea. I would never do business with someone who speaks to potential customers like that. read more

I think I've only done one Yelp review before this one, but I wanted to let people know about VHB and the great service we received. My outdoor patio ceiling seemed to be leaking after monsoons. This guy Brian Howard who said he was the owner showed up extremely professional on the first visit. I was very impressed with how he presented himself. We scheduled the appointment to get the work done. Prior to our appointment he was given a copy of the home inspection report with the issues that needed to be repaired. He spent quite a bit of time on the roof assessing the roof and sent me a quote and I agreed to it. Today his worker showed up to do the work. Very nice, very polite and professional . He explained that the only part of the roof they were fixing was over the fireplace area that is all he was told to do. I asked about the other area and he was clueless..Ok no problem lets call the owner and discuss it as I was unaware and would like to have that done. Owner didnt answer so I texted him to call me ASAP as there were other areas that needed attention. WELL....I asked him very politely about the other area and he BLEW UP AND WAS HOLLERING AND SCREAMING AT ME LIKE A PSYCHOPATH AND USED THE "F" WORD LIKE IT WAS GOING OUT OF STYLE. This guy must be bi polar. I was stunned and couldnt believe what went down within a matter of a minute. I told the worker I was sorry I wouldnt be using this company to do the repairs and he was understanding and remained polite and professional. He never gave me the opportunity to say hey can we just get a look and get it done, he went nuts immediately and then by the end of the conversation where I only got a sentence or 2 in edgewise he said dont ever Fing call me again and hung the phone up on me.
