I can'not recommend this contractor for roofing in the Phoenix/Scottsdale Valley. They replaced/repaired a roof on my Scottsdale property that had a leak, and sold me a 5-year warranty after the job. Within 60 days, the roof was leaking again. I called and reminded them I'd bought the warranty. The guy who sold it to me claimed the warranty doesn't cover this -- which is either incompetence or straight-up dishonesty. I called the main office, they opened a ticket, and eventually sent an employee to walk the roof. He shot 12 minutes of video and 30 photos and blamed the A/C unit -- which is also brand new. I was almost relieved, since Scottsdale Air has always been solid. Scottsdale Air sent their guy out to check it -- he spent 4 hours tracing every drain line and confirmed there aren't any in the affected areas. He was great, thorough and communicative. Meanwhile what started (pre new roof) as 1 leak is now 2, post a brand new roof install. 100% increase! Weeks later, still not resolved. I can't recommend Arizona Roofers, and I'd urge caution before hiring them. They're not inexpensive, and I feel like a fool for spending what I did. (Photos attached -- they sent these themselves.) AZ Roofers Review - Quality Work, But Communication Needs Improvement Project Scope: AZ Roofers was hired to replace/repair the roof on my father's home - a complex project on a house over 4,000 sq. ft. with multiple peaks, valleys and a turret room. We met with Tanner (sales) twice before making our decision. We also received quotes from other companies, but ultimately chose AZ Roofers because they made us feel confident in their abilities and excited about the challenge. Sales & Initial Impression: Tanner and Austin (Project Manager) were both involved in the quoting process. Austin's enthusiasm for the project was a major selling point for us, especially since other companies seemed more concerned about the roof's complexity. The initial communication was clear, and we were advised about next steps and the project timeline. Project Management & Communication: Unfortunately, the communication broke down as the project start date approached. We did not hear from our assigned Project Manager as promised, and on the day the project was supposed to begin, we still had not received any updates. After reaching out to Tanner, we learned Austin was out of town for his wedding-a detail that had not been communicated to us. As a result, a different Project Manager was assigned at the last minute, and the job started a day late. Throughout the project, we ended up working with two different Project Managers. This lack of continuity and proactive communication was disappointing and did not match the experience we were sold on. Workmanship: Despite communication issues, the quality of the roofing work was very good. We are happy with the finished product and appreciate the crew's efforts on a challenging roof. Overall Recommendation: While AZ Roofers delivered a solid final product, the communication and project management left much to be desired. If you value consistent updates and clear updates and clear points of contact, you may want to clarify expectations up front. Based on our experiences, I would be hesitant to recommend AZ Roofers without reservations. read more

Once we decided we needed a new roof, we shopped around a bit and then settled on Arizona Roofers based on their reviews compared to other roofing companies and that the sales team made me feel comfortable when they came out to give us a quote. They definitely aren't the cheapest, but based on materials, warranty, explained workmanship and the fact they include solar was a big deal for us. Connor was our original sales person, he was very professional, thorough and did everything to make us feel comfortable prior to committing. Once we committed to Arizona Roofers, they were very communicative along the way and had our job scheduled within a couple weeks. I will tell you that although they tell you the job should take no more than 3 days, that is only including the roof, if you have solar panels it may take longer due to scheduling, our job took 10 days total from Panel uninstall to panel reinstall (2 days for the roof). Prior to the start of our job we got a project manager named Austin, nice guy and very communicative as well. The roof was done in only 2 days, for the most part we were satisfied with the roof minus having to wipe a bunch of stuff off the birdstop, picking up 16 nails in the yard to date and cleaning roof debris from all of our plants in the yard. We also have a bunch of extra material we elected to keep since we paid for it and dont get credited for anything. Only major issue we ran into is that when they returned to finish a mud cap they mud capped our aloe as seen in the pictures. Aside from having to do some of our own cleaning and the mud cap fiasco, the job went well. You can tell that the company is real big on communication, as Connor, Austin and Raven all did very well, were quick to communicate with you, reassuring and made sure that you had what you needed. Austin was also quick to reply when we ran into a couple issues with the solar company on the reinstall and did what he could to make sure the right people were informed and the issue was corrected. Overall, I think we are satisfied with the roof and materials, the real test will be our first big rain storm. read more

not a reputable company. they delayed my roof and painting project 4 months and both times they came out they raised the price over the original quote on the contract. Their sales people know nothing. if you decide to use them, before you sign any contract, have the actual project manager come out to confirm the estimate. they are nothing but a bait and switch. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. After contracting them for a silicone roof coating, the project suffered from poor execution, including the application of materials over an uncleaned substrate which caused immediate, widespread blistering. I have photographic evidence of four different products being used on my roof which automatically negated any warranty.When these severe technical issues were brought to light, the CEO physically inspected the roof and agreed the application was unacceptable. However, instead of delivering a uniform, warrantable repair as initially promised, the CEO sent me an email reversing course and issuing two precise options:Option 1 -- "We cancel your balance in full. You would owe us nothing, and you would be free to bring in any roofing company you'd like to take it from here. This is the option we'd recommend. You have been patient with us through several visits, and at this point a fresh set of eyes may serve you better than another round with our crews."Option 2 -- "We recoat the roof one more time. If you'd rather we finish what we started, we'll perform the recoat at no additional charge. I do want to be straightforward with you about what that involves. This would be our final recoat. If bubbling reappears afterward, we would address it as warranty work under the terms of your warranty, but we would not be performing a third recoat. Choosing this option also means the balance on your account remains due, and if it were to go unpaid we would ultimately need to file a mechanics lien on the property. I mention that only so no part of the process is a surprise to you, not because I expect it to come to that."The company ultimately walked away from the contract under Option 1. This left my home with a defective, multi-brand blistered roof and zero manufacturer coverage. Property owners looking for dependable craftsmanship and honest communication may want to look elsewhere. read more

Tanner was a straight up jerk. I told him before he started his sales talk (and told the receptionist who scheduled Tanner to come to my house to begin with) that I only wanted 5 tiles replaced as I was selling the house and I wasn't interested in anything else. That's when Tanner became a jerk and started hard core selling me like it was a time share. I kept telling him I wasn't interested and I just wanted to know the estimate of 5 tiles. His sales pressure would only intensify. I also didn't get the estimate he came out for, I guess he forgot?.... I also called to talk to a manager at AZ Roofers and they just said leave a message with the receptionist.... Which I didn't because we all know what happens next. Nothing. Speaking of, they didn't feel the need to call me back either to find out my complaint. I guess replacing 5 tiles wasn't a large enough job for them to be nice. read more

Because I requested a roofing company on yelp, The front office girl contacted me and wanted to set up an appointment for a estimate. I had not even told her yet what was going on with our roof. After I informed her of what I was needing, she proceeded to set up an appointment for an estimate. The young gentleman that came out informed me that they do not do any projects under $2500 and there were no notes left about my appraisal. Never was I informed of this on the phone and because of that it was a big waste of my time as it was his!
