After reading multiple reviews I called State 48 Roofing to tarp two areas of my large roof and provide quote for repairs, and possible entire roof replacement. The monsoon damage was significant, and I was glad to schedule the roof tarping right before the next rains hit. However, after the next round of monsoon rains the roof leaked through again, albeit to a much lesser extent. I called and texted to request someone to come out to check on the tarps, no answer or reply to my texts and voicemails. The restoration company working to repair the wall and floor damage inside had their guys tighten up the tarps. A few days later I finally heard back, and the tarp was checked on by State 48. I should have ended the relationship there. However, we were already scheduled to get a roof replacement quote. A young man came to inspect the roof for the quote. I told him that the other companies providing a quote wanted to see the damage from the inside as the damaged area was covered with a tarp. He agreed that he would need to see how bad the damage is. I asked that he please wear a mask inside the house. He stated that not only does he not wear a mask but then with a large gin added, "and I'm also unvaccinated!" He then said he would just prepare a quote without examining the damage and left. A few days later I received a quote via email. Delete. There was no way I would trust someone with something as trivial and materialistic as my roof when they show complete disregard for the health of my family. I recently needed to have my commercial roof completely replaced. I met with 5 different companies, but TJ at State 48 went above and beyond to explain the scope of work and any bumps we could run into along the way. When the project started, Diego took over and basically became my personal general contractor. He contacted AC companies, electrical companies, got quotes for me, and was present to make sure all of the electrical and AC work was done to his standards. His crew got the job done in 1/3 the estimated in order to minimize disruption to my 6 tenants' day to day retail businesses. I just paid $9141 for a new roof in September and chose to go with the upgraded 15 year warranty. Per the owner's instruction, Jason Payne, I also had a pigeon company come out immediately after completion to set up pigeon barriers / preventive measures. 3 months later on Christmas Eve, my roof is leaking again causing over $2k in additional and damges for water mitigation and drywall repair. They refuse to take ownership or remedy the situation. Instead they are playing blame game with the pigeon company as to who is at fault. Not a professional company, do not use or upgrade your warranties. It means nothing. They will evade liability at all costs. read more

I've waited to post this review until after monsoon season, just to be able to give a COMPLETE review. Plus I thought Thanksgiving weekend would be appropriate, because I am so GRATEFUL to Jason and the State 48 team. After two complete roof jobs by another company and a third by State 48 in June 2022, I FINALLY HAVE A WATERTIGHT ROOF THAT I AM CONFIDENT IN! Jason managed my frustrations due to my previous experiences very well. Upon initial meetings, he was attentive to my urgency as my "new" roof was leaky, and my leaky roof jeopardized my entire home investment. My trust was shaky as well, due to recent experience. He maintained a calming approach through the entire process. The State 48 team walked my roof, told me what was wrong, what needed to be fixed, and as I already suspected, the best path forward was an entirely new roof. Safest bet for me, anyway. So they got me on the schedule and work began within a month. My experience included a clean yard during the process, organized storage of equipment at the end of every day, and a lawn swept for nails regularly. My vehicles were not put in harms way. These are all things that even someone with zero roofing experience should watch for and can use as a measure of attention to detail. Further, with my State 48 roof, I've experienced no leaks, no tiles falling off, no drip drip drip noises. All of this through the crazy monsoon season that we've had here. And yes, I come from a place of experience as my previous two roofs had all of these issues. (Yes, three total roofs in two years. First two by a supposedly reputable roofer, and yes, I did post a scathing review on Yelp. But anyway, onto the positive ending with State 48!) After my State 48 roof, I am now confident that my home, my investment (and nest egg), and me and my dog when we are in my home, are safe and secure. 4 years ago, we had a leak in our roof and had 4 companies come and give estimates. We chose State 48 and were very impressed with their work and professionalism. We had been discussing re-doing our entire 26 year old roof just for peace of mind. Our back patio flat roof has leaked since we bought our house and we needed that to be repaired, as well. Jason came out and gave an estimate, including 3 options to do it in sections over the course of time, since there was no immediate need. They put us on the schedule for about a week out and showed up on time. Those workers busted their tails and really knew what they were doing. They completed the job in one long day! I was duly impressed with the results and you would have never known they were there when they left. They cleaned up all of the materials and scanned the ground with a magnet for any errant nails. Met Jason and hadd my flat roof done by state 48 about 3 years ago. This March, I had them replace my pitch roof. This is the first time I had a roof replaced; therefore; imho State 48 did a great professional Job. I was always updated daily on the status by Mike and Diego. Once it was fully complete, I can say I was quite impress with the outcome. The "loading" team ran over my pavers but Diego had them come and repaired it. Roof issues? Yea, no, I'm not getting up there! We had a micro burst damage our roof recently. Called State 48 roofing and they sent someone out the next day where they found quite a bit of damage. They also discovered the waterproof underlayment had deteriorated. They showed me photos of what they found and we decided to replace that side of the house. New waterproofing, new battons, new flashing for all the vents, and they replaced the broken tiles. They even painted the flashing and the vents to match the house. Made the roof watertight and like new. Best of all they completed the job in 1 day! They were responsive, professional, very efficient, and did great work. Had an insepction report listing cracked and missing roof tiles for our home. Called State 48 and within 1 hour had a schedule for repair within the next week. Workers can out on time, advised they were here and promptly got to work on the roof - replacing all the suspect tiles and then taking pictures of all the work they did to make it like new. Once they were finished they advised me that they would contact for payment within 24 hours and also provide pictures for inspection confirmation. The next day I received a call providing the invoice via email and taking payment.
