I had 2 carpeted rooms steamed cleaned (1 including pet treatment), 2 travertine tiled rooms cleaned, as well as my sofa cleaned recently. Our Technician was Raul who was absolutely fabulous!! He arrived before estimated time and was friendly and professional. I did a 'walk-through' with him of the rooms as well as answered any questions he had for clarification. BF and I were able to relocate ourselves to other areas of the house to continue working remotely while Raul worked his magic. He was very thorough and used blue plastic booties (shoe covers) once carpets were steamed and still damp. Gave us a few pairs as well to use while rooms were drying. End results exceeded my expectations as my house was so sparkling clean and smelled so crisp!! Shade of my carpet was much lighter after treatment; indication of how filthy they actually were!! Jake was kind, responsive, answered my questions - initially my quote was for tile but then learned my carpets at my rental needed to be re-cleaned - they were happy to add these to the service. I have used their services twice this year and overall I am pleased with their costumer care. The first time I cleaned my velvet couch and living room area rug. Both turned out good. I will say that other companies didn't do velvet so I was relieved to find a company that did. I am not giving them 5 stars because recently I had scheduled a service for my couch again among other things at my home but they were not able to do the couch because they didn't have a portable machine. The first time they did my couch the employee threw the wires thru the balcony but this time another employee didn't feel comfortable doing that. Consistency and reliability are important aspects of costumer care so I would have hoped that they could provide the same good service as they did the first time. I will most likely use them again but verify that they can actually deliver what they promise before hand. read more

I was moving and needed to get my carpets cleaned the day I moved out. Two weeks before the date, I called to schedule an appointment. The person I talked to got my information and gave me a quote. The moving day came, and I'm sitting in a U-Haul truck waiting for them to clean the carpet before I turned on the key. No one showed up. When I called, they had no record of the appointment. They apologized but were booked for the day and couldn't clean the carpets. I am disappointed in this customer service. read more

Starr Carpet quoted to fix a small carpet wrinkle, but their poor workmanship resulted in a much larger issue. One of the owners, Austin, oversaw a laborer who botched the repair, turning a minor $450 fix into a $1,608 problem. Despite asking a third-party to reinspect and correct the damage, the result was the botch couldn't be fixed.  This reviewer paid all costs over and above $450. I feel disappointed and misled by Starr's lack of professionalism, warning others about their poor work ethic, work-product and lack of accountability. The service guy kept me posted on exactly when he'd arrive and he did a wonderful job. My carpet is desperately in need of replacement so I hadn't cleaned it in a long time.
