Love the idea of going in, starting a tab, and just using your name at the bar, one of the fixed places to get food from, or even the food trucks that literally drive in and park there. Surrounded by shipping containers, it is its own special space where you can find a seat and enjoy the food and drink you grab, play games you brought on the tables (think brewery type action on that front), or just hang out with friends. I had a t-rex burrito - brisket, beans, rice, roast poblanos and onions, avocado, cilantro and a crispy cheese shell while there. Best burrito I ever had? No, but my first choice would have been the food trucks (that were not scheduled to arrive while I was there) and next time, even if I still don't time it right, there will plenty of other things to try. That, with some board game time, two beers from the bar, and absolutely perfect weather for being outside, made for a great day here. read more

Even though it was rainy and chilly, we had such fun here. Excellent food that came out quickly from Uncle June's, followed by coffee and edible cookie dough from Jonny Boy Cookies. You run a tab when you check in to expedite ordering and paying throughout the complex. We were grateful for the space heaters everywhere. Could have a bit better drainage to keep rain from pooling. If you're in Savannah, GA venture south of the River into the 30s and 40s and follow the ever rare sound of live outdoor music. This venue can only be described as a skate parks and food trucks bastard child who made something of themselves. From roof top viewing of an outdoor main staand drinking areas, to a plethora of food choices, if you are a foodie as well as a live music lover this is the place for you. A wonderful selection of beers and cocktails were a delightful departure from the more "refined" and commercial bars in the historic district. Follow the sound of the music. read more

The few times I have been to Starland Yard have been really enjoyable. It's a great space to grab food, drinks and to hang out with friends. There's tons of outside seating, unfortunately it's not fun getting caught in the rain because there's minimal coverings. There's a parking lot and some on street parking, which usually isn't difficult to get. I really like the different themed events and various variety of food trucks. The bar can get really congested at times, especially when it's crowded for events. read more

On our most recent trip, we kicked things off with a drink, soaking in the vibe and the energy of the open-air courtyard. There's always something going on: live music, trivia nights, pop-up shows (Fred Armisen did one here?!), and open-air markets. A plus was you can get a discounted "Dark & Stormy" Drink at the bar which was fun! We played cornhole and the ambiance was great. Loved Starland Yard and really loved the Ark Royal Burger truck. I had the Royal Blue smash burger. 2 smash burgers with blue cheese, little onion rings on it and smoked blue cheese sauce. Very good. You get fries with it but honestly I had enough with the burger and beers I was drinking so I had so save stomach space for the important stuff! One of my favorite nights in Savannah. Go expecting fun vibes, decent drinks, pretty good food, and just an all around very fun night. The two of us went on a Sunday night and got a pizza and portobello mushroom burger to share along with some truffle fries. It was all really good! I think I thought I was going to get greasy, just okay food truck food, but that was not the case. You put a card down and get a wristband when you enter, and everything you get that night just gets put on the card and you settle up right before you leave. Easy peasy. There was plenty of places to pop a squat and enjoy your drinks and food, cornhole, karaoke (with all very impressive singers if I am being honest), a photobooth (don't mind if I do), and Spongebob playing on the projector. The spirits were high. I would 100% be a reg if I was close by. read more

This yard full of food trucks and stalls offers some variety, but I didn't find a ton that I liked. They had a nice restroom area in the back and a water bottle filling station. One opens a tab under one's name with a credit card and uses that name to order at all the various vendors. The seating is picnic tables and such; it's not the place you'd want to be in bad weather. When I was eating, someone was arguing with management over having left a phone there, and being told that security cameras showed him leaving with it, at which point he stormed off and bumped my seat purposefully on the way. Met some friends here for the first time and it was such a blast! I love that you give your credit card at the beginning and just have to tell the bartenders and staff which account to charge it to, makes it way easier when ordering. This is such a cute food truck and bar spot! When you enter, they check your ID and ask if you would like to go ahead and put a card on file. The Starland Yard food truck pod is adorable. The place is colorful and the walls are filled with fun murals. There is a ton of seating, fans, and they even had corn hole. On a summer day, it's a bit too hot to linger. We had our lunch and left. But if the weather is better out or if you go for dinner, then this would be a great place to hangout! It's a great spot for large groups because there's so much seating, and there's a variety of foods to pick from. We ordered the wonton nachos from Nom Nom food truck. This was probably the best dish I had in all of Savannah! It's unique - something you can't find everywhere. And it's SO good. The wontons are light and crispy, and the nachos had a lot of different flavors. I loved the microgreens! This is a must try! read more

I really enjoyed my visit to Starland Yard, the dining options are endless. On the night I visited, there were at least 10 different food vendors. I tried three of them and they were all delicious. What's nice about this place is that you present your card one time and you can purchase from any food or drink vendor while you're there mingling, listening to live music etc. There's plenty of parking across the street, and street parking in the neighborhood. Hours of operation are perfect for those that like to enjoy outdoor dining by day or night. read more

We were able to park across the street and walk over, the day was hot about 97°F but we were able to cool down with slushies, frozen Piña Coladas and cucumber salad. My kids had the Cuban + chicken sandwhich, we shared a churro and Mexican Cookie (a little spicy but good) and obviously devoured everything so quickly that we forgot to take photos! Drove up to Savannah for the day and for lunch we headed to @starlandyard in downtown Savannah. Starland Yard is a cool courtyard area made with recycled cargo containers and features a rotating group of food trucks, a bar, outdoor and rooftop dining area. It's a cool space to eat, drink, and hang out with friends and family. We tried out @okanbluffton, a pop-up cooking out of a converted school bus turned food truck. Okan features and Haitian / Trinidadian menu. I've never had that cuisine before, so it was a no brainer. We started with some house-made chicharrones with a cilantro pesto type of dipping sauce on the side. Great way to start; crunchy and salty. We also got a side of Maduros; fried sweet plantains tossed in a sweet chili sauce. A nice counter to the chicharrones. For the mains we got Jollof rice with Shrimp and Haitian Griot. The Jollof rice is made with tomatoes, scallion, parsley, garlic, and spices. It's topped with four huge grilled shrimp. The Haitian Griot is fried pork tossed on a citrus glaze and topped with pikliz, a pickled spicy slaw. The Jollof rice was delicious and was perfect with the Griot. The fried pork was crispy and the pikliz cut against that richness. The griot very much reminded me of Filipino pork adobo. It was all fantastic and if you're in the area, Starland Yard is a definite must-visit. read more

This place is great. Super well thought out! This is an outdoor food and drink court. There appears to be a permanent restaurant and a couple permanent bar areas set up in and throughout the shipping container construction. But there also seems to be spots for pop up/drop in food trucks. When you enter the space, they check your ID and give you a wrist band to indicate you are of drinking age. They also take a card and start a tab for you that is usable across all points of sale! Even the food trucks! I love this. I LOVE THIS. As long as tips are pooled and shared....I love this. The convenience, the ease for patrons, the hopeful ease for workers. S'great. We ended up sharing a pizza and shwarma fries with a few drinks. Everything tasted great, and since the rain had stopped we were able to nab a couple tables for the rest of the group and spend a good amount of time here. The amount of covered seating or table space for inclement weather was the only real negative of the spot! When you leave, there is one exit and you close out your tab and tip there. It was really so so convenient. I really liked the set up and hope more spots like this embrace the system that they employ here. read more

Multiple food trucks available all day & night with a rotation and probably some frequent more than others. Chalkboard out front lists times for the different trucks during that day/night. Many clusters of tables and comfy conversation groupings to meet your group's need. Best of all is the ease of payment... This is an addendum to my last review. Came for a Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) event. They projected a Harry Potter movie outside and we had kids running all around. It was a good time and glad they open their doors for school related events! Pizzeria Victoria, located inside as a fixed food establishment , is still the best pizza in Savannah...authentic Italian pizza. I didn't think it could get any better and then I ordered the Quattro, which is my new favorite! Quattro: It's a white pizza, four cheeses & guanciale (cured pork cheeks...I had to look it up). The cheese was delicious without being over-the-top rich and had character of real quality cheese. I didn't see them make mine but I saw them freshly grating a chunk of cheese on another pizza...this is the real deal! The guanciate was phenomenal with the cheese!!! As always the crust on these pizzas are moist, chewy and a gift from Heaven! Siciliana: Capers, olives, anchovy, lemon, sauce & mozzarella. This was a salty pizza with a ton of flavor complexity. It was better the most pizza in the area but not as good as the Quattro per my personal preference. Cannoli: This was some the best best cannoli I have ever had! It was creamy and had a strong lemon character. I might get this every time I come back, if it's available. Prosecco: The Prosecco they served tonight was really good. It was from the home of Prosecco in Italy. It was on drier side (like it is supposed to be) but had a little sweetness and much more flavor than typical grocery store Prosecco. The bar had Butter Beer for the kiddos at the bar. They also had an boozy version, but Butter Beer is supposed to be for the kids. I love Starland Yard! It's such a great hangout! We went late afternoon on a Friday and it wasn't busy, probably because we got there at an awkward time between 2-3pm. You have to give your name at the entrance and as you order food within the precinct; it goes onto your tab, which you close upon exiting. Definitely a convenient way of ordering and paying since you don't have to take out your wallet every time. The area also has giant Jenga if you feel like playing after a few drinks. Roast pork & plantains - pork was juicy and plantains were super fresh. Extremely hot when we got them, so hot that we couldn't eat them straight away Crab cake sandwich - could do with a bit more fillings in the sandwich, but still good value for money since it came with a drink as well read more
