We were greeted upon entry. I didn't get the staff members name but she was very helpful! We decided to order the Wings and 2 Meat Plate ( Lamb and Brisket) w/ Brussels and Burnt End Baked Beans so that we could try a variety of things. We paid and received a buzzer. We were advised that when the buzzer went off we could pick up our food at the Food Truck. It didn't take long for the buzzer to go off. The guy at the truck was really nice also! We decided to eat a bit before we left. The wings were really good! Crispy but not hard and the sauce was flavorful! The brisket and lamb were tender. I personally liked the brisket better than the lamb. The Brussels and Burnt End Baked beans were so good! We both had food to take home. Only a snack for me because I ate the majority of mine! Although it was hot outside the fans helped and it wasn't bad sitting outside eating. We were able to get a shady spot! I ordered the homemade Biscoff Banana Pudding Ice-cream to go..... Such a great BBQ spot! My husband loved the brisket, and I was all about the sides. The mac & cheese was super creamy with a crunchy topping that I loved, the coleslaw was fresh and refreshing alongside all the heavier meat and carbs lol, and the burnt end baked beans were amazing. We came back to Slow Fire Bar-B-Que for a second visit -- and honestly, it was even better than the first. The first time we came, we were blown away by the brisket and the smoked turkey, so we had to come back and see if it was a fluke. Spoiler: it wasn't. The food here is consistently amazing. The location is amazing is just a bunch of locals coming together to try and get the best food in midtown before it all sells out in 2-3 hours. This as most know a food truck. SAV foodies rave about the food as a go-to when out of towner ask about BBQ. Tried it last week. 10 /10 on presentation, 10 /10 on service, 10 /10 on the brisket, 10 /10 on the pickled onions, 10/10 on portion size, 2/10 on the beef rib. First bite was like a fatty salt lick, that only got marginally better as I worked down the rib. I'm hoping that my rib was an exception. I've never had one with so much fat. The is the best BBQ in the state of Georgia, period. The first time I tried the brisket I cried. The 2nd time, I cried again and started breakdancing. It's not normal for food to make me do these kinds of things. It's so freaking good, If you put a plate of this on top of someone's head, you'd be committing manslaughter because their tongue would beat their brains out trying to get to it. Absolutely otherworldly melt in your mouth Texas brisket. I've tried literally every place here and nothing comes even a fraction close. Absolutely stupid good mac and cheese and the baked beans are amazing and loaded with burnt ends. I refuse to try anything else but those 3 items but I'm sure everything else is unreal too. My only complaint is how elusive and hard to catch they are. Open only 3 days a week and bizarre hours but I guess it adds to their mystique. Truly a unicorn of a food experience.
